If I had only 20 seconds I'd put it like this:

Bitcoin has proved to be a better investment than gold. Don't trust my words, check the facts by yourself.

Its seems to be a better way of expressing what bitcoin is all about in a much effective manner. You could also add some by showing its value equal to local currency.

I would focus on how it is the future of the financial world.

With the recent interest from major banking corporations and private institutions, it is just a matter of time before it gets major attention. Even if it will not be in the form of bitcoin, bitcoin will surely benefit from all the exposure of the private chains and stuff. Smart people will then also join bitcoin as it is not controlled by banks in the same way.

Maybe I would also focus on the easy of transaction small and large amounts of money all across the world in a matter of minutes, at any time of the day and any day of the year.

I would definitely say "Bitcoin is the future of money, what do you waiting for? Just, Use It!"

I will use bitcoin to buy some computer components to do some GPU  mining. That is the adoption of bitcoin.

GPU mining Bitcoin is so much old school that you will not have any success with it my friend.
All miners who try make some money with mining Bitcoin use ASICS!!And a lot of them!
GPU mining is working for some altcoins like Litecoin or Ethereum I believe.
Better stay away from that kind of ideas.

If I had one chance to influence a friend of mine to get into Bitcoin, I would say that it's new innovative digital money that can change the way we exchange money worldwide and that Bitcoin holds a great investment value in the long-term.

If you had one chance to get someone interested in Bitcoin (on a TV interview, or in private conversation with a wealthy friend, for example), and under 20 seconds...
What would you say?

I will show them the history charts of bitcoin price and talk about the future of bitcoin, and how the price is going to be.

also I will make sure to include all the benefits of using bitcoin, all the benefits that are not available while using fiat. for example the low fees, the super fast transaction, also not needing the banks is a good perk.

What would you say?

The banking system is a ponzi scheme. Join bitcoin now or regret it later!
A ponzi scheme? That's a funny correlation. Bitcoin, while not a ponzi itself, is closer to the concept of one than banks would be.

I would like to say: see the early adopters, they are millionaires now. If you want to be millionaire in future then adopt bitcoins of now itself. Do not join to the regretting people who are feeling for not adopting bitcoin even they have got chances.

20 seconds is a little tough to tell someone all about bitcoin and make them interested, and it only gets harder without any assistance from a PowerPoint presentation or a small video.

for example i can probably introduce bitcoin to others way better with a short PowerPoint presentation or a simple flash video. in that i would stick to the bitcoin features that are unique and interesting like the fast speed on sending a transaction, the low fees and the security. and try not to mention the technical stuff about mining,... and maybe include some speculation about future of price.

i would say them to invest all their money into bitcoin if they want to be like 3 or 4 times more rich in the future

it would surely seem attractive and they might even consider the idea to invest all their money into bitcoin or at least a part of it
