For me I prefer etherium. Actually I only have bitcoin and etherium so far. Its really hard to trust other coins. I'm still searching for my second and third alt as well. I'm thinking of BCH and XRP. I think these are also reliable. I'm still reading reviews and comments about other altcoins. I really have some trust issues especially in this matter of choosing. Better to be safe than sorry.

Describing a shitcoin varies from person to person. An alt that made you good money doesn't mean that it's a promising one. So please be honest, and if you ever have to sell your btc, what would you buy with them?

My first vote to Monero, for privacy reasons. Fuk ZEC and its "optional privacy" which is NOT a privacy actually. DASH? Lol, no privacy. Another bitcoin clone methinks.
Second one is Ethereum, there is no serious competitor in smart contract area.

I cannot find third one. Maybe NANO.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree. Why sell Bitcoin to buy alts? If I had to I'd probably go with Ethereum and Ripple at this point. Still, I do get that diversifying your portfolio is important.

I also like to hold ethereum because it has no competitor in the market, But their platform has been ruined by scammers, so now ethereum prices have fallen compared to 2017 when eth prices rose and bitcoin was rising. But I think the right time for ethereum will come and ETH will also avoid scammers by using their platform to steal investors' money because of the fake coins made by cyber criminals.

Ethereum is of the very outstanding coin in crypto currency community though it will never break the record of bitcoin but still one of the best choice of many here in crypto currency community. In fact, nowadays is the best time to buy since the value is profitable in the future. Hopefully one day crypto currency will pump tremendously as wish by many crypto currency enthusiasts.

if I have to sell bitcoin and choose to buy altcoin, that is, Ethereum. Why? it's very clear, ethereum is the best altcoin with the smart contract platform. and nothing exceeds ethereum. the other is BNB, why? I think that is the next ethereum, has in common with ethereum and has very strong support in a centralized and decentralized exchange platform

Vitalik was harmed when smart contracts did not reject all projects that entered the network, but were eventually used by many scammers. But in terms of usage, eth is still ranked highest after bitcoin. I like eth because as a pair trading. I believe Vitalik has something fantastic next year because this year he tends to be very calm.

I hardly invest in altcoins but assuming I want to sell my bitcoins and invest the Money in altcoins, the first choice I am going with is Binance Coin. Well, why don't I? This is a coin that is owned by one of the biggest crypto exchange in the world, and judging from their success you don't have to be told that this is a really good choice. Their BNB token has been mostly green this year, you will already know this if you have been following up with prices on Coinmarketcap.

The next coin I might like to invest in is Ethereum; why not? Ethereum keeps topping the chart for a smart contract. Although there are lots of other projects with the same idea, they have been unable to take the position from ETH, and it still stays at the top position when it comes to altcoins.

I will invest the Bitcoin to ethereum, EOS, TRX and LTC. These are most promising coins and we can expect the growth for long term most of the time our investors comes with different investment strategy for short term trading.

For long-term we can plan like this and invest the hard earned into these coins to have good returns in future.
I cannot argue with you that the coins you listed are very good coin, if these are the only coins that one even diversify to after bitcoin, I think we can rate the portfolio of the investors as 90 percent, but I also think that there are some coins that will really rule the market in the future, and these coins are these privacy coins, people will really get exposed to privacy coins as they are the ones that really have very similar thing to bitcoin, so they will work along way with bitcoin in the future.

One of these coins that I am targeting is Monero, this coin has been a very effective coin for a long term now and has really been serving its community very well when it comes to privacy coins, so this could be added to the list of the coins that you listed, at least one privacy coin would be okay.

Nano? Well, different strokes for different folks. If I have to sell my Bitcoin for an alt - that will be for exchange tokens (tokens used by exchanges in buying other cryptos on the exchange.) These tokens always perform well and record great ROI.
You got the point yet I would have the same option on considering purchasing exchange tokens instead rather than into those other projects.
Most of them already passed their prime but somehow we are on a bear market which its considerable that most altcoins even the potential or good ones
are still on a slumped mode when it comes to price. For now im not doing any actions towards my btc and selling it for alts isn't an option for me.

Even if ethereum and monero are that cool, still they will be nothing in front of bitcoin. I mean selling out the king of crypto currencies for a slow mover like ethereum and not so profit producing monero sounds more like a joke. Bitcoin is the whole reason why altcoins were able to survive and make some progress. You must look at the difference of benefits produced by bitcoin and ethereum in 2017.
Altcoins have not really performed that well for some time but there are moments in which they do and you need to be ready to take advantage of those moments, the only coin that is worth holding over the long term is bitcoin but that does not mean you cannot sell your bitcoin from time to time when altcoins are the ones that are clearly dominating the market.

Bu as we know right now is not the moment to try anything like that, bitcoin has a dominance above 66% and it could possibly go up even more during the next months but if you see that number dropping to 60% then it is possible we could be in the presence of an altcoin season.

If you are interested in buying only privacy coins why not try buying Komodo, Verge, GRIN, or BEAM.
And if you are looking for the most potential altcoin in the market to buy right now just for the Binance coin BNB!

The main option when selling bitcoin then it will change it to ethereum although sometimes a news becomes another alternative trigger for me when selling bitcoin for a few alts, because not for a day trading in this case then at least choosing to be more selective for the long term will not be careless for change bitcoin to alts.

Well if i will sell i will go for the next coin which will be ahead and based in charts because i will be more cinfident to support other altcoin when i see its chart if it will offer a good reward in the future along with its actual development. I don't like hodling or buying any coins right now until i saw the opportunity thats how i buy this top altcoins.
Instead of changing your coin now and then, would not it be best to stay with the one true potential asset. That is a way too much work to keep an eye on charts of many altcoins, figuring out the next promising one and switching to it. Also, none of altcoins are very good at producing profits. I will suggest you to invest in bitcoin and you will not have to go through the above tough routine. Profits earned will b more than satisfying.

Would go to Ethereum at first because we already know what and how good Ethereum is in past 2 weeks after China's commments Cheesy
The second one would be Monero because of this article so Monero's price would be at a good spot in the future.
Obviously Ethereum and Monero is good spot in the future so long term analysis is positive in these two altcoins. This year BNB performance was attract the total market so everyone concentrate the BNB investment but sudden dump make noise on all the altcoins. I think USDT is the other choice for Bitcoin so once market fluctuations will occur automatically most are move to USDT.
