Completely agree with you. Creating mass histeria will only cause unexpected market volatility. BTC is high now and it will not see a major drop sooner than a few months. Just hold on to your coins for now.

There are many good and well established alts in the market at the moment that can hold their own against fiat or bitcoin. The biggest risk,or biggest potential perhaps, are new or less well-known coins.
I combine the two, safe with ETH and some new altcoin easy to invest at low prices. It can bring unexpected results. However, we can only judge at one point.

The notion that if you didn't day trade or connect with every profitable spot that was available is horrendous. Who cares if people executed what you thought was correct? I don't think everybody here is a day trader and for those who make moves less often these day to day or week to week fluctuations don't matter to us. In the long run we want to make money or BTC, that is the plan and as long as that happens and happens at a decent rate nobody is going to care about day trades.

Daily trading might be good for those who don't have much money to invest right away

Well I never sold a single Bitcoin that I intended to keep, and I always sell of my alts to recover the Bitcoin invested (used to buy the alts) so I guess I am a partial idiot. Bitcoin is my asset, my wealth and what I love most because:
> I can use it any time
> i can sell it any time

Alts I always worry will lose their value, though am confident the ones I truly hold will have many years left in them - Monero, Litecoin, Waves, stratis.

And yes, I was an idiot with alts like Elastic. Hold forever and it keeps going down.

The ones you mentioned aren't just any alts, I wouldn't worry holding those. The people that should worry are the ones invested in the lesser coins.

I don't give a damn with what you think. If you sold your alts, well happy for you but please respect other's decision of holding longer. We all have our own gameplans and strategies on how to earn more here and if you are impatient fine with me. I am a long term investor and i maintain that  prices of my alts would gonna be up to the moon soon and i'm keeping my fingers crossed while waiting forbthe rebound.

I think the percentage of the total marketcap of Bitcoin will slowely go down into the future. Alts do have the future!

If you haven't sold in to bitcoin yet, just wait for the next rebound.

I am holding my alts as I am more of a long-term investor. I have picked up coins from a very low point like ICX VEN SUB AION so for me to be at a loss it will require the market to crash badly.

Yes, I could have doubled up my position by selling them high's and picking up again at a low point. But if you believe in the coin then holding it for long-term helps for maximising gains.

Careful. These last six months have been unusual in that all the alts went up substantially. However, if we're in a bear market, they all have further to fall, and alts tend to plunge much more than bitcoin in percentage terms.

BTC i worthy to hold and to invest than Atls. Btc much higher value increase than eth and most of altcoins not recover on there price thats why i believe if we get are target price in Eth we need to trade are alts.

Not selling alts means we don't know what we are doing? what kind of thinking is that lol  Cheesy
there are so many alts that beaten bitcoin not in terms of price but the percentage increase, clearly bitcoin has a large trading volume compared to most coins but the potential of big profits will always be in alts and remember that.

I guess he's some kind of fortune teller.
But yeah - If you haven't sold your alts during the negative peak of the dip you don't know what you're doing.

I think indeed the bitcoin price increase affects altcoin prices, but I think the most influential is from the internal side of the altcoin, the active development team work will have a very positive impact on an altcoin.

I disagree. I think if your'e not buying coins at this price you don't know what you're doing.. If you walked into the store and an item you were looking to buy was 75% off, would you not buy it? You would.. You would say "Wow! that's a really good deal". It should be the same with altcoins right now.

I choose the same strategy as many participants in this topic, if I did not have time to sell coins at a good price, then I leave them until better times.

You better start believing and be patience. Holding alt coins is far much better idea than selling it just to minimize  your losses. You won't gain anything by selling it why not leave it there? We all know how crypto works. Once in a while crypto shines on a certain time and everyone is waiting for that time.
