You would probably break even as the icos with a high ROI will be offset by all the scams that are floating around and the failed projects.

If you invest in them all, you would lose, because most of them are worthless. You need to sort through and pick the best ones.

Most ICOs and new Altcoins this year probably undervalued and will vanish next few years that's why it's still a clever idea to invest higher valued Crypto-Currency coins like top 10 Altcoins. Surely they will give you good money in return next year.

I would choose top Altcoins in every $10 I have to the following:
Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, NEO, Dash, BitConnect and so on. Top Altcoins are very promising and stable so there's no room for risking your investment.

That is not possible to happen because ICOs have certain rules and regulations. They have minimum buy limits which needs to be filled in order to buy their tokens. One has to be ultra rich in order to invest in every ICO because there are hundreds of ICOs launching every months.
They say 90% of the ICOs turn out to be scam and in that case you would lose 90% of your investments Undecided Investing in ICO is risky and that is why we must do a research on the project before investing in it.
Yeah, when Enjin coin was getting released, they had $1k! min investment into the project. and I don't think this is an exception. That is why a more interesting question would be as follows: if you invested 10$ in top-5 coins on coinmarketcap one year ago, for instance. You would get about 110$ for bitcoin, 450$ for eth, 175$ for litecoin, 30$ for ripple, 230$ for monero. Now, this shows that investing in altcoins might actually be a lot easier than we think of it.

It is interesting to know the statistics Smiley I invested much larger amounts in ICO, but it was on the recommendations. Now there are many chances to get on the ICO-scum. It is necessary to always be interested in the project team, read the white paper and the road map, although this does not always give results.

Be careful while investing in ico not all ico has returns.. your $10 investment could never return to you. Research, study and discuss in the forum first before investing.. Good luck

my suggestionis is just take top 10 from coins market and then invest your money in them. For sure you will get more then %50 in a year. This is my simple investment strategy to get profit, just invest ur money in best coins

Could work out but then again you could quite easily get 5000% from finding the promising below value over looked but still proven projects.

Some of the top 10 are ludicrous and over priced turds.

Some of the top 10 are worthy of their position some are certainly not. They are simply held there because the handful of whales controlling them can create enough fomo to entice new investment in gradually over time to unload on them.

i did not partecipate to every ico in 2017 in any case some of them had a min investment like 0.5 eth or similar so i partecipate only a few with more then 1o $ each. at the end of the year i can say that the majority of them are loosing money, so for next year i think is better invest only in few but more serious, with good projects and a belivable white paper and known people in the staff.

I feel investing in ICO is for far better safety then buying in the secondary market.

ICO at least provides a complete return  on investment. MY bitter experience was that I bought confido (CFD) lost all the money in it bying in ether delta.

To be on safer side I will go for minimum ETH for each ICO thereby i feel that I was part of the investment.

Here the answer to the question depends on the project in which we invest, starting from the minimum sums and ending with serious investments, but this again must be approached seriously and sort all projects

Can't say anything about ICO, people say that some ICO can make more than 1000% ROI, but I never tried.
As other posters said before, you can't participate in ICO with 10$, better to play in an exchange with that amount. Just buy some new tokens and HODL. It's easy

About how much and i have invested the amount that i afford to lose. But it was around some thousands of dollars for each portfolio. Today some of my investment already worth 5x or even 10x because i've invested int he promising project.

It was not about chose the right ICO but it more important to know when you should sell, for a loss or a gain. Have in too many ICO and don't keep track all of it is bad move.

A lot of clearly ignorant people who think ICOs would have tripled or X whatever - if you had invested $10 in every ICO in 2017 thus far, you would easily have spent over $10,000... and from my own experience, only a handful have been profitable, but even those have almost all gone down below ICO price so the worst affected are poor ICO investors who held.

If you had invested $10,000 in Bitcoin at the beginning of 2017, today you would have over $80,000.

Does not take a genius to see the flaw of ICO logic.

We all know that diversification of funds in crucial when investing, but too wide diversification of funds is also a trap that leads to other risks, like not able to control what you have and losing focus, etc.

a) I would invest atleast $100 in every ICO because investing $10 might not give enough return within a year and in ICOs we can even lost 90% of our investment.

b) You can check yourself here https://icostats.com/

Ah I don't want to put that on a spreadsheet lol because I will probably cry at some of the coins I actually sold before they mooned. I think it is all a gamble and pot luck so nowadays I look into tokens and coins that have a chance of generating revenues for the long term so if the price of the token goes up and down but I generate revenues and rewards, hopefully the rewards over time will offset what I am earning from the projects. I am looking into one good real estate ICO at the moment and bought into two exchanges ICOS as well, but invested more than ten bucks in each lol.  Grin
