If you think you are smart well think again

After UNI Airdrops many starts looking for people's Private keys and recovery seeds using search engines and data engines like 4shared and others but guess what?

Some smart scammers are out there willingly exposing their private keys and recovery seed so that greedy people can scan through them, here is what the scammers have in store

The scammers leave good valuable tokens on the wallet and set the wallet to automatically send out any deposited Ethereum, the greed people will want to deposit eth to quickly move out the tokens to exchanges but its a smart trap, once the eth landed on the wallet address it automatically send out to another Ethereum address...

How did I know this? I know someone who fell for this, luckily he only deposit 20$ worth of Ethereum..

Thats not new news , I see that kind of wallet long time ago way back 2016 if I remember it righ they filled the probeye keys in Google  form, with MNE balance in it, once you send it will automatically transfered to other address once you send any amount of eth or tokens. That's only greed of person that thinking that they got a free money in the end they will become the victim because they transferred money in that wallet.

Then that someone you know is greedy.

If only people will think not once, not twice but thrice, no deposit should be made.
LOL, it's greediness but perhaps he/she thought its might worth it, given a try to outsmart the owner who chose to give out his private key, the hunter became hunted Grin Grin

Some people chose to think illogically on some obvious situations, internet was built for communication with other wider application, don't expect free things on the net.

I think OP should also mention where is the hotspot for this kind of scams. As far as I know, this was pretty common back in 2017 and most of the time, they are spreading their private key in telegram server. I don't know about now though since I stopped using telegram and I never see this trick in discord.

I have to admit I've fallen for it once. Good thing I immediately noticed that this wallet was programmed to automatically send excess balance to scammers.

Scammers are getting smarter indeed.

This can really convince greedy people to follow what should be done to get the anticipated money not knowing its a trap.

Well be aware to this to not end up as a victim.
Needless to say, they can’t remain to use a similar approach, as people began to recognize the style of their deception. They think of alternative approaches where people won’t suspect anything. As for the victims, they probably did not anticipate the idea of losing their assets in such a way. We should be aware a scam exists in various forms and that scammers are not only smart but also resourceful. Hence, instead of being greedy, why not work in your own ways to earn?

Last month was really a good period for Uniswap lover's when they were showered with $1400 worth of UNI (400 UNI) but it gave birth to rise of scammers on different platforms, Facebook cryptocurrency related channels in particular were so spammed, scammers were looking for victims to prey on.
The thing is, most of this scammers are lazy developers, they know how and when victims make moves. They designed their tactics and if you aren't careful, anyone can fall for their scams. They are very smart, knowledgeable people but stupid to use it in bad ways.

Please note: There is nothing free in Internet, the earlier you realise this, the better to adjust your greed otherwise you may end up loosing all you have work for in this space.

This is an old move by the scammers, but since many are still hoping to get an easy money they are falling into this scam trap.
Scammers have so many ways to scam us so if you are going to be careless on handling your money, coins or tokens you'll get scam. The big airdrop of UNI wakes up the sleeping scammers, and I'm sure they are waiting for more airdrop so be careful. Better to focus on your own, on how you make money and don't trust anyone with your money, this can lessen the risk of losing money.

The thing is, they really have to expect many wallet to fall into that trap for them to get a reasonable amount out of this old trick, because eth for transaction fee is not a serious amount, but except that greedy person is stupid enough to send a reasonable amount to a wallet that is not yours, even if you find private key, as long as the wallet was not created by you there is no need to send reasonable amount to such wallet.

That is a classic trap i think. The hacker create some codes to set the smart contract on that address,
so that if there is any ETH coin sent there, it will immediately transfer to other address, which is on the hacker possession.
Just be careful when we find something too good to be true, it could be a trap.

Not you? LOL JK

To be honest, this is the first time I hear about this auto-send method, but even if I somehow knew some private keys with lots of worthy tokens inside, I wouldn't just send ETH without doing any research.

"There is no free lunch" is a phrase that will keep echoing eternally. Try to be more skeptical guys!

damn thats a smart move there.  i didnt knew that those things are possible , the one that people search for private keys online but who are those people that will store private keys online at the first place ? thinking those things wont make me try to attempt to search for a private key because i knew that i will never find one . if there are ,there could still be passwords unless you are a pro hacker that can crack easy passwords but worst thing can still happen next because you wont know that theres also another hacker waiting for you to get in his trap .

Basically right, that a person should not be arrogant based on his own intellect because there are others who are more intelligent and can do bypassing in another person’s ignorance. To be on the safe side, it is better to be real and focus on your own growth because if you really want something to achieved do not go through the easy way, instead strive using your own ability.

Lol this is what I called the hunter became the hunted, the aim of the person that finds or look for someone's private key or recovery seed is to steal but not knowing what awaits them, this type of people are not just greedy, they are cheaters and scammers themselves, why would you start looking for someone's key in the first place?

Well, As I noticed after the UNISWAP happened the scammers became rampant in different social media's platform.
They used UNISWAP as front to make their coins become potentials in the eyes of the community, where in the end most of the time
they turned into scam project. In short they took advantage of UNISWAP to scam others.

That is really true that every scammer is always one or even two steps ahead of those who think they are smarter that those con artists. The idea of this scammers is very broad and very systematic in terms of getting advantage of those who are too greedy as well that is why you really don't get be fooled by some opportunities that will lead to on getting fraud and scam.

You should be careful with it and you can try to check the txs that happened in the address whether the received amount has already sent to the same wallet instantly. If that was happening and you should avoid such address. there were so many victims that have sent and they have tried to take the amounts that still available in the wallet but their ethereum was getting sending to the scammer's wallet instantly.

This idea is unique and I have never heard of this before and it shows how the technology works beyond even hackers and scammers knowledge as well so it is definitely scary, however this feels like a deserved act as well.

I mean if you are out there looking to steal from other people, I would say that there is a big chance you deserve to get your money stolen as well, so that is why I think it is not as bad as you might imagine it is, after all we are not really people who steal from others and if we try to steal from others it is only fair that others try to steal from us as well.

But, the idea that "if you think you are smart, there are smarter out there" works in every facet of life, it is not for crypto or scamming only, it could be for everything in life.

This has been happened long time ago before 2017 when ERC20 was new. Some guy intentionally leaving there private key on bounty spreadsheet. At first glance, it looks a mistake on pasting ETH address because it was a common mistake on filling up bounty form that time. The address contains freeze contract ERC20 tokens with huge value in fiat. Then there's a smart contract setup with it so that tokens sent there will be automatically sent ou to the scammer wallet. Same as the method describe about OP.

This is the first time someone report this kind of scheme but it already happened long time ago.

Indeed, there are many more smarter people out there who are much more thoughtful and could walk on one's ignorance. To be on the safe side, it's best never to attempt stealing from others and if you really want some thing, don't go through the easy way, rather work hard to earn what you own.

I am also worried about it especially newbie who is hungry for information and also wants to quickly get money from crypto. usually will be very gullible, I was like that the first time. but never lose, just spend time playing dice which is actually a scam.

If anyone offers such an offer and asks for an etherum or other altcoin deposit, just decline.
Newbies can easily fell for it, this type of trick will effectively attract any cryptos newcomer, scammers knew their targets once they throw this type of offer out, some people will be tempted to claim those tokens with some few amount of coin for a trial.
Its quite suspicious for somebody to reveal their private key publicly, if not the sake of scamming gullible ones.
