this can be a good or a terrible advice depending on how people are going to go about doing it. there is basically two ways people always promote bitcoin.
1. the bad way
which is basically the popular method these days where newbies think they can get rich with bitcoin (or at least hope to) and because of it they start advertising it as something that will make you rich. they don't even know what bitcoin is they just know there is something out there called bitcoin which you can make a lot of profit from if you buy it.
this will not only not increase the price but also will cause crashes like what we saw in the past 4 months because newbies like this are weak hands who will only panic sell and are only involved with bitcoin for a short while.

2. the right way
if you want to promote bitcoin then promote "bitcoin" not fiat. bitcoin is NOT an investment, bitcoin is a decentralized currency that you can use. first educate yourself about bitcoin, what it is, how it works, what is the difference between bitcoin and fiat and why should you even use bitcoin currency,... then start giving that knowledge to others also.
this way you won't get speculators or newbie weak hands involved with bitcoin, you will only get people who find bitcoin interesting enough to use it and not just make money from it like a cash cow.
eventually we can see bitcoin really grow (as in merchant adoption) instead of just having just a volatile price where speculators make money. and price will shoot up a lot better this way.

And I think it will work. The more people will learn about the profits that Bitcoin can give them, the higher will be the price of BTC. OK, even if the price does not grow fast, at least it will stop its fall.

 I also think this is a great way to increase the price of bitcoin and other altcoins, by promoting it ourselves. As long as there are many involve in investing crypto, I  think this will also make the price higher. Actually, when I started participating and gotten involve in cryptoworld, I was kind of silent to my friends, but when I realize it would be a help if more people know about it, I started explaining to my friends about it.

My Wife is always talking to others about Bitcoin and telling them just to hedge a little of their savings into it. The problem is we are seeing in Bitcoin the same thing like in all financial markets. There are the big rich whales and the rest of the Bitcoin holders. A small group of people control a large amount of Bitcoin, so as long as that happens and continues, we will see price manipulation happening to the core and never ending cycles of boom and bust. Although now I do not see any boom for a long time and have a not so good short to medium term outlook on the future of Bitcoin.

I don't think we need to go to more people.
Because you the publicity power are so small, if social media is to advertise, then a lot of people will be thinking about buying encrypted money soon.

yes, actually if bitcoin price wants to be high, the way is very easy, the user only invested the money in bitcoin in long term, occasionally using bitcoin for transaction purposes. If all the bitcoin users act like that, then I'm sure the bitcoin price will never go down.

It should be like that because we have, we are marketing, and we are also introducing Bitcoin to everyone so that people are well aware of investing in Bitcoin for the future, so we indirectly participate actively to grow the value of Bitcoin.

People usually talk about how much money they have earned so far thank to Bitcoin and I think that's wrong. You should start with explaining why even Bitcoin exists and why it can replace fiats. Most people only want to earn money quickly without learning anything. Some people who invest in Bitcoin don't even believe that it might have a chance to replace fiat. I try to tell people who are around me about Bitcoin and usually they become interested in it. However, they quickly give up because they think that it is too difficult for them to understand.

as long as we talk well about bitcoin and do not lose faith in it, many will continue to invest in it, I am constantly talking to my friends about bitcoin and I invite them to buy at this offer price where bitcoin is found

While promoting it is a good idea,there're many people who don't believe it in a single conversation.The better method is to show the proof of how bitcoin work with ourselves,but this will take a long time to affect the bitcoin price.What we have to do now is to try to counter FUD that has been spreading to the people who don't have a clue how crypto works.

Crypto currency in general is one thing I find difficult asking some to put his/her money in, since the market is on predictable, You may end up falling into a big trouble if the person lost his/her investments, not everyone had that patient to waiting when price is down, and not everyone understand how crypto works, some persons invested on Crypto just because of some positive hypes they gathered from some friends around then.
It is better for one to understand how the Crypto market works before jumping into investing on Crypto and this is not done in a day

yes more users,investors,traders and etc. use bitcoin and altcoins have impact in the price of any digital currency

Trying to introduce bitcoin to new people is a good idea. But I don't think promoting bitcoin every where can help to bitcoin. Ordinary people will now bitcoin as a scam. Better to every thing goes normal.
By the way, at end of 2017 and early 2018 bitcoin was one of google trends. Many people were trying to know bitcoin. Do you remember what happened at that time? a

That's a good idea. In theory. On the other hand might me a lot of work without too many palpable results. I think the price of bitcoin is influenced a lot by the big players that benefit from these sudden fluctuations, which might make all that work of promoting it moot.

I did this at some point but it seems people around me are too greedy that they are only concerned about winning and making money without considering the option of them losing at all. What they asked in common is " if I should invest x amount of money, how much will I get back?" The moment I can't offer such assurances, they bolt which is win-win as the market can do well with the people already involved while I can sleep in peace without being bothered about what explanation I would give in situations like this.

Without mincing words, the push needed for price to increase is new set of people coming on board because every other strategy is lame. ICO is not making the necessary push, crypto related ads are banned, fork coins have been turned to jokes which could give a boost and news from most corners are not encouraging. We should not just get tired for the good of the market.

In some point it is good to increas the BTC price but I think it does not affect much because promotion of bitcoin is not easy. At the same time, there is just a small portion to be added in case you can gather people to invest.
The reason behind the FUD news and price expectation of the analysts as well as the popular people in order to attract the people to buy BTC. Because the greater demand of bitcoin, the more its price surge.

about the risk of losing price I already discussed in my previous comment. I am still stressing on it because I know that if someone will know in direct relation that you are in bitcoin community and you are happy with it then it will be more effective to invite them.

Yes the governments need to adopt it. And We are seeing that governments are already coming to make bitcoin able to work in their states for that they are making some regulations to make it suitable according to their financial laws but people start to afraid from it and they again start to sell their coins. we also need to explain to the people that do not afraid from these regulations and have to explain to them that with that these governments will make bitcoin suitable for to legalize in their states.

Bitcoin's price moves as per the free market decision. It is impossible to increase the price of bitcoin just by promoting it to everyone you know. Also it has lot of risks as well.  If your friends loose money after investing in it, you will be blamed for that. I am sure you are talking about butterfly effect here that goes well with lifestyle brands, but not with cryptocurrency.

The best we can do to use facebook, twitter and similar social media platforms. Try to share good and positive news about bitcoin as much as you can. If a major percentage of crypto community members start doing it, it may show some result.

The real change can come only when governments start adopting it. I mean not by the handful of governments but the major economies. That's when the bitcoin market will see a real change. Otherwise it is very very hard to do bring back the positivity in the crypto market by whispering campaign.

But it looks that you have spend a longer time in bitcoin community so you will know that bitcoin is fruitful in long term investment. We all are evident that in the long term bitcoin investment brings a very high income. So you can explain all the things to them that for how long we have to invest to get the real benefit.

He will definitely get the profit as we all know and many of the major online business owners are saying along with SEC that in digital era in the future bitcoin will play a major role and it will have a high value.

Third point is that we do not have to invite them to invest in bitcoin but we have to tell them about bitcoin community and we have to invite them here on this forum and have to provide them any job related to their skills. When they will spend some time at here then they will either start earning bitcoin and will start busying bitcoin and he will learn that in long term the price will increase so he will hold and if he will hold then the supply will reduce and the demand in the market will increase the price of bitcoin.

I've been there, I've introduced bitcoin before to some of my friends but not everyone will be interested on it and some might be skeptical since it involves money. A normal person would think that it is a scam and some are disappointed for investing during the peak and selling when the market started crashing. Some time in the future, people will learn about it, people will just blame you if they will not get anything from their investment, especially with the current market situation.
