Develop a unique cryptocurrency perhaps. having it unique however is something very difficult to create now that almost all are created already besides those tokens meant for business and runs on separate platform. the worse is that there are different platforms this time from eth, lisk and waves when infact we could have just create one and every thing as assets.

being a developer isn't really easy to make money though.

Problem is what kind of job ?
I was alluding to the fact that most around the scene are pointless bullshit..

I would not have a problem with it if a dev seen a project and got inspired
and then thought shit, you know what ? I want to be a part of that "Vision"

Then..

We have a legion of shitheads from across the planet who have weak coding experience
who pop up here and think damn i can build hello world in Java or C sharp / .net or VB  Cheesy
Then think hey !
I aem'z big timez c / c++ coder'z nows !!1111

PAY ME !

I myself have more coding experience in 'C' than all these little shitheads around here combined
and i would not make a coin because i am not qualified for the job at hand.

..and yeah i said C (not C++) --> for a reason Wink

So..
This issue reminds me of arguments i have had with known coders in Crypto over the years.
I would bitch at them that their hired gun mentality is a farce..
They would bitch at me in response that they "need to get paid"
So..
It had little to do with supporting a project that they believed in.. instead it was about "Getting paid"

..as a well known cancer head cloner once said in his cloning guide..
"..for fun & profit"

Let me know how that works out for ya.. make sure to quit your day job "Dev's"

I will create an exchange, the life span is far better than launching a new coin although it's not fast and easy profit but at least you can run an exchange as long as you like ,you also have the option to run if you have more than 100000 bitcoin..

There are so many dead exchanges out there, that seem to be well coded, have plenty of available coins to trade, but lack any popularity. This isn't a good way to make any money. There really is hardly any money in this scene anymore.

Developers make money by hacking themselves or buying their own ico.

It's a little bit like incest-porn.

Where is my ring of blades...
if I were a developer and I was good at it, that meant I was a programmer and that meant for money I would have left my parents basement to get a real job in the real world to make real money and stop thinking about making money by creating a new altcoin or anything altcoin related.

and then if I were still interested in "developing" something I would have made an altcoin project for free not for money.

e.g. become someone's real slave.

clap, clap

getting a real job doesn't mean becoming a slave.

and even if it does, it is a lot better than becoming a zombie in altcoin world copy pasting code, and changing a couple of lines and starting to pump and dump like thousands of other developers sheeps!

I think you better find another way to earn money, we have a lot of alt coin exchanger and a lot of unused alt coin in this world, so if you created any of those things you need a lot of time to advertise so people trust your coin or your site, if you are a got good skill then you you better find a stable job or look for side job, alt coin job is not as good as you think

I would not enter crypto development for the sole purpose of making money. However if i were to launch a coin i would compete fairly to mine coins at the early stages and hope they have value down the line.

How it used to be done years ago before it got flooded with self entitled brats.

I'd get a fucking job.

And no there is no such thing as a job in Crypto either.

..McDonalds is hiring and you'd make more working there than you would in in the shitcoin scene.
This is the best choice so far and i would do the same thing too since its good to have a day stable job and at the same time make some sidelines to maximize your salary and could able to save more.If you dont like to work offline then there would be freelance jobs here on the internet actually you could able to make decent amounts but in temporary basis depending on which aspect you are working.

I'd say move away from thinking about crypto, sadly crypto is not set up in such a way to take advantage of talent unless you are very lucky.

this talks otherwise https://forum.getmonero.org/8/funding-required

Question:

If you were a developer and you were able to develop anything, what do you think is the easiest way to make money?

Some ideas:
-Altcoin exchange
-Develop a cryptocurrency
-Bitcoin/altcoin marketplace

I am a developer and I need to start making extra money to pay medical expenses so I would appreciate your help.
I'll prefer altcoin exchange, there are to many coins in the market only few altcoin exchanges, but I want it to be as popular as poloniex or bittrexx, and altcoin exchange life span is longer than altcoins

Developer needs lots of money before they can established a good bitcoin or altcoin exchange, so on bitcoin or altcoin marketplace. It's not as easy as you think. You need a team and staff here. You will have to pay for some things associated in that kind of business or investment. Also you just state that you need an extra money for a sole purpose, so if ever you develop a crypto it will just make your coins a shit one since you are focus on getting the money and not on development.

If you are earnings decenlty in your job just continue it. If you really need some extra money then find a part time in a real world. It's way better as above ideas you mentioned needs more time to be matured and you didn't even sure if it will become success.

Since this topic is created within the Altcoin Discussion forum, I think I will five you an answer based on Altcoin.

What you have suggested is some good idea to make some profit from the crypto industry (specifically Altcoin). Another business you may consider if you are a really talented developer is to help already established Altcoin to grow. Don't join new Altcoin because the future is a bit hazy. Join a established Altcoin that have a somewhat large user base and start developing whatever things you want for the Altcoin.

It can range from gambling platform to faucet site to micropayment service. Or even a web wallet or maybe a user-friendly blockchain.

Starting an Altcoin exchange or develop a new currency is just too much work for a person - unless you can find a few partners. Creating a crypto marketplace is a good idea but ... how many people will really use Altcoin (not Bitcoin) to purchase things online? Most people use Altcoin as a form of investment or gambling currency only.
