Will ripples ever hit tradesites like btc-e?

No way in hell anyone that isn't a Ripple employee is stupid enough to "buy" XRP's at this rate. 9,000 for 1 btc, so the 50 billion XRP's OpenCoin has is a bloody fortune.

Not yet. But there will be. Just wait and be ready. You need about 300+\epsilon to start. Thats not too expensive if you are curious. Maybe 5 dollars.

As I understand it, you have to link to an exchange (and have an account with the exchange), you can't do it only on ripple.com
Yes, if you use the Bitstamp exchange linked with ripple.com, you can sell your ripples for more then I am offering right now. I think the rate of 7K/1btc is way too much, I can't beat that.

May I ask how you all are valuing XRP? How can any of you be confident of what is a "good deal" at this stage of the currency's development? Only a fraction of the available XRP are on the market now. What will happen when millions or billions more are given away for free?

The point of the giveaways it to gain users. Unless those giveaways are done very badly, they should incrase demand at least as much as they increase suplpy. Opencoin controls the giveawys. Sorry, that is way too much. I would give you 1 BTC for 10K ripples, if you sent first.
Bitmit is an option for some people, but you have to do the work of creating an auction, and compete against 100's of other auctions, bitmit takes a small fee, etc. You might get a better price but certainly not 2btc:10k ratio (unless I'm missing something!!)
They will still prefer to do deal on bitmit instead of doing exchange in newbie section with a new member and sending money first. Risk of loosing money.
You should accept Escrow and gain some trust here.
