This thread was started in Jan, so you have to look at this in context to what happened during that time...

Most price watchers and day traders / speculators just got off a huge bubble and a major drop in the price, so people was negative and most of them paniced. {Mid Jan, the price dropped to $177/BTC}

A year before that, the price was +$ 900 --> So naturally people compared prices.

The forum and general outcry, was that Bitcoin was dead or duying... BUT here we are still going strong.  Grin Grin ....Since then, the price volatility has calmed down and stabalized.

We are also in a better place, with +/- 160 000 merchants accepting Bitcoins and some major companies using Bitcoin.

Stop watching the price... you will go crazy.  Wink

people who run away at the first sight of fall in price and jump back in with the slightest rise in price, with their eyes closed are bound to lose money.
they only care the price movement. When the price drops, they are spreading the negative rumor for the purpose of getting profit from their short position, vice versa!

No one can bring down Bitcoin, fully troll post.  Tongue

I'm not sure in this.
Other, more popular virtual currencies can easily replace bitcoin, everything involves over time.
Of course, in some way, BTC will be always here but if general public choose something else over BTC, in the near future, BTC will slowly die.
Its value is very unstable now and if falls very low most people will give up on Bitcoin and replace it with something else.

Your post though strong on uncertainty and doubt lacks enough fear to persuade me.

The question here is, once BTC reaches ATH again and surpasses it, will Kleenex run out of paper tissue? I may be buying some stocks as we speak.

LOL,
I have never seen that website before.
Or the video to be honest.

It goes to show that nothing can bring down Bitcoin and that has been proven from the start.

So, the OP sees the price climbing down and thinks Bitcoin will end up soon, and so makes a thread and starts discussing?
Awesome, but what did it do the the price? Did it affect at all?
I don't see anything but stability in the markets nowadays, so happy with that.
I am speechless as the markets are themselves answering to the baseless accusations of OP.

Can I also get my farming in on this post? I need it a lot more than the person at the top LOL.

In all seriousness, all the headlines in the obituary are to sensationalize. I am disappointed about black and white Warren Buffet is with his distaste for Bitcoin. Like on every other security he talks with shrewdness and an open mind. On Bitcoin, he's so quick to criticize. That hurts me as a fan, not because I like Bitcoin, but because it's like watching LeBron James double-dribble in the playoffs (which he has done yo).

Pretty interesting how worthless threads like this get many pages and responses that just compound upon each other.
If the OP is "fucking out", then why post and announce it to the forum? Just sell and disappear.
This is a thread trap.

Maybe some kind of strategy to lure out the weak hands and make some profit. Dunno but that's what I first perceived in this thread.

Or maybe OP is not actually anti-bitcoin, maybe that's just sarcasm and his sense of humour?

Maybe that's why he has linked to satirical bitcoin obituary site and "You can't kill the Bitcoin" video?

Just maybe...

Reading the links and watching the video again and again made me think that this is purely sarcastic.  Grin But my first perception really is about OP leaving.

Got me in there.

Terminated.
Well since the people who usually talk 'bad' about Bitcoin all the time, can't be reasoned with, it would be best to completely ignore them it seems.
