If the price stabilized at a lower point, it'd be used much better as a currency rather than an investment, slow gradual growth rather than 10x the price in a year. This would increase mainstream adoption, and remove volatility.

I just wonder if volatility will be removed 100% as far as the BTC History there is a minimum of 30-20% of volatility. It has been 6 years and still it's moving harsh.

It's still early days for Bitcoin really. It's going to take a while yet, but maybe it will never have stability. People seem to be too fickle and just dump their coins on the tiniest whiff of bad news.

It's just frightful to see the crash because just a month ago I cashed out my BTC for mining rig upgrade. Next time will cash out lesser to help the bitcoin economy.

I am sure bitcoin will rise huge after crash. Crash will people invest more in bitcoins.

Crashes are a great time to invest and get in, but it also makes people apprehensive too.

You are glad because you sold at a shitty time and wish to buy back in on the low.  Your intention is to make a quick buck. That won't happen. The china boom is over. Growth will be gradual. Don't expect 10x growth in 30 days again.

People like this don't care about Bitcoin. It's always just about making a quick buck to them.

more people (merchants) will use BTC when it stops beeing this volatile, cause when you think of spending your BTCs these days you cant help yourself thinking :"wait a minute, If I buy the TV tommorow it might be much cheaper in terms of fiat" Smiley therefore your spending habbit is beeing speculative....
Yeah I agree with you.. ! yeah if i buy a TV which is today 1BTC that might cost  0.5BTC after few months/years that is uncertainty . So what is the solution ..? we must talk about some kind of solution..? what should be done.? do you guys find some answer for that?

Well the currency is volatile because it's still in it's growing stages. It hopefully should stabilise at some point, but that probably wont be for a while yet.

That's how I feel about spending coins. Although at this rate I'll probably never get to spend them.

I am glad it is lower, now it is at somewhat realistic level. Don't get me wrong I expect it to raise a lot, but in next 10 years, not next month or so. If it grows little by little it's okey, it's more stable. What I do think we need is more people using it. When more people use it it's better for all of us. It's just important for it to change hands and not just sit there doing nothing.

More people using it will come naturally as more merchants adopt it, but these crashes tend to scare them and other people away.

For selfish reasons, I'm glad the price is crashing a little but it's always good to get people to "jump on the bandwagon", so to speak.

Anything that increases awareness can be seen as good and may even help in shooting the price back up.

What reasons are those? You wanting to buy more?  Grin. I'm sure it'll bounce back fairly quickly any way.

Exactly! And I'll be doing that sometime today...

But what if they keep going down? I've got a friend who has been waiting to buy back in as he sold his coins and has been stuck in dollars, but he never knows when to jump back in because he's scared they'll keep going down.

That is a risk you have to be willing to take. Even if he buys now for 730$ and the price drops to 600$ he will only lose money if he sells for that price. But if the price goes up and over what he payed for them, he will learn. Not everyone is good and has luck in gambling.
