Unfortunately the price of bitcoin has a lot to do with the way people like OP feel, this goes for the majority.

I don't think it's the majority but it's the majority of the people that get vocal about it when it's not going as planned. IF you can see the possibility of bitcoin for the future then people won't be as worried. If it's going no where after 3/4/5 years then maybe we might have a problem but bitcoin will take some time to find its footing.

I know bitcoin is revolutionary but when it loses value day after day for 14 months many will think like OP and it's pretty normal. Even early adopters who still havent sold have lost a fortune and every time we get the same argument to wait for 5-10 years and come back. Although i believe bitcoin will eventually skyrocket, but the price plays with peoples emotions, watch when it goes into bullish rally then those who haven't bought will start to whine.

If they think like this then sadly they've better get used to it. The value also hasn't fallen constantly. There have been a few rallies, though few is the keyword here. I also don't think people will have to wait 5-10 years to see the price skyrocket, but 2-3 is reasonable. I guess all we can do is wait.

The old saying is true ..... "Bad NEWS sell papers"

Trolls are everywhere, just use your "ignore" option, if you spot them on the forum. I do that, and I have a good experience.

They tend to pop out of the woodwork, when the BTC price drops. I even see pro-bitcoiners go troll, when the price drop too low. {We are only human}  Wink

How can you lose interest? I know things can get a bit boring at certain times but there's always going to be excitement coming at some point. I suppose your level of interest in bitcoin depends on what you want out of it, though.

Most of the news show positive info, but the price show negative info

This is disappointing but I'm sure it wont always be like this and the opposite will happen eventually.

Have you ever heard the saying dont believe everything you read or hear, this is so true with the bitcoin forum.
Lots of trolls here and others who are shorting the market, they want you beleive the FUD they spread and sell your coins.

It's like anything in life, read everything you can then do your own homework and only once you have done all that then make your own disision on what to do.
Always remember the trolls who say BTC is dead and get out asap have there own agender and want you to beleive what they say.
If the trolls who always bag btc have no interest in bitcoin then what are they doing on this forum, killing time and trying to help us I doubt it, they know what there doing... sometimes.
Also never invest more than you can afford to loose.

Welllll ... let's see ... an average of 1 month per major theft/hack over the course of the last 5 years ... not a single major exchange has lasted through the history of bitcoin which means basically every single person involved in bitcoin has been seriously outright robbed at some point ... aaaand add to that the fact that a great majority of the bitcoin supply was effectively mined in secret at a zero value which basically renders the entire thing a pump and dump ponzi scheme ... aaaand add to that the fact that the major runup from 100ish to 1200 was done with a *billion* fake non-existent dollars perpetrated by mtgox aka the greatest single monetary theft ever perpetrated in the history of mankind beyond even the likes of madoff and enron ... the real question is ... why does positive news exist at all ? ? ?

quit with them facts...er I mean FUD bro.   This is a place to only discuss positive things and shill bitcoin to the moon, not constructively discuss the actual events transpiring around us.

I have 2 questions:
How much do you get paid for your posts?
Where do I apply for such a job?

- $8,000 per
- apply at Reality World, Inc.  But a strong word of caution: they don't hire neckbeards and tinfoil wardrobe automatically gets you the door at the interview.

good luck!

oooooo man did that get a good lol out of me ... btw i get paid exactly $0 by anybody and have never received a single satoshi to my btc account profile and don't ever expect to ... the handful of people benefiting from our posts do not give a shit or share a dime Tongue

Think about the things that got you into it again.

For most people that sadly seems to be greed or to make a quick buck so that wont help if this is the case. I think people just need some patience though as bitcoin is not going to go mainstream over night.

There's plenty of things to be positive about bitcoin right now. Just look at all the millions that are being invested into bitcoin by various people and groups. I know bitcoin seems to be growing at a slow pace but just think of all the future possibilities. Have faith.

Its due to the downtrend. Negative price breeds negative sentiment.

There are plenty of positives if you look. Coinbase's funding is one of them.
