There is so much NFT mint on bitcoin now, since no one can stop it, why don't we use NFT to enhance Bitcoin consensus, status and value?

You can, but please do that on the Lightning Network.

Yes, To guarantee the value of every qrpaper NFT, they should only mint on Bitcoin. And we have optimized the NFT image generation technology, compressed the data size to the limit, now the qrpaper NFT image is small enough, it very cheep to mint on Bitcoin, there is no need to use Lightning Network.

...  Huh

By minting your asset directly on layer 1 using very cumbersome and bloated text JSON representation, you are paying much more in fees than when you are minting it in binary using Lightning Network. This causes massive transaction fee hikes for everyone else and cancels out all of the space-saving advantages of using native Segwit.

i mean i've already read the whitepaper. and i would imagine most people here reading this also has.

Yes, that may be true, but there is still so many people don't know the spirit of Bitcoin, they just Speculating.

it's good for bitcoin ecology for alt coins to spam their whitepapers on the bitcoin blockchain?  Shocked

The whitepaper has already been mined in the blockchain sometime in 2014. Just open Electrum and click Help > Download Bitcoin Whitepaper.
so electrum downloads the bitcoin whitepaper from the blockchain?  didn't know that.

We only need so many copies before they too become spam.
yeah, maybe at the very least publish some original work that you yourself created if you're going to put stuff on the blockchain or better yet maybe not even do it at all to let people do ordinary transactions more easily... Shocked

There is so many people don't have interest to read the whitepaper.

It may be not only help people read the whitepaper, but also help people communicate the whitepaper with fun and the wealth effect.

What is the sense of all this?
probably to make money. that's why people do this type of things to sell their creations. and imagine how much money the OP could make. every sentence in the whitepaper is its own nft. how many nfts is that? 500? 1000?

Quote
My humble suggestion is to shelve this idea and help ease the network's traffic.
if the goal was to help people read the whitepaper then it definitely doesn't do that. who is going to scan the hundreds of qr codes so they can read each sentence of Satoshi's whitepaper sentence by sentence.

up next:
make a qr code for each individual satoshi on the bitcoin blockchain. and create an ordinal nft for each one  Shocked oh wait. that's impossible!

first

We have split it into 600 Sentence now, and we may let all people mint it publicly for free.

Only 30-nfts will be reserved for bitcoin-community(15) and qp-dao building(15)

qrpaper bitcoin nft holders will have the right to join qp-dao and have the benifits like airdrop, whitelist, vote and so on.

details can be found here: https://qrpaper.github.io

What is the sense of all this? Is there a need for it? Would this initiative help Bitcoin grow? Would it boost in any way Bitcoin adoption?

As for me, I'd rather print a hard copy of the Bitcoin whitepaper. Or perhaps download it and save a copy. Or not at all. After all, the whitepaper is always available. You just have to search for it online and it is there.

As a matter of fact, to a certain extent, this whitepaper NFT is a betrayal of the whitepaper itself, of Bitcoin itself. This hampers the very function of Bitcoin as an electronic cash system.

My humble suggestion is to shelve this idea and help ease the network's traffic.

Now that there Ordinals was, no one can stop people mint NFT on Bitcoin with Ordinals protocol.

you know, the image which use ordinals protocol always larger than 10KB or 100KB.

But I have optimized the qrpaper NFT image generation technology, compressed the data size to the limit, only about 1~2KB for every qrpaper NFT. It has saved so much resource of Bitcoin network's traffic.

you could probably store the entire whitepaper in a single ordinal. why would someone want to buy a single sentence? i think people already uploaded pdf pages of the whitepaper but not the entire pdf in a single ordinal. but i could be wrong.

Yes, it's a good ideal, but there is mainly three reason, which cause me to split it into sentence:

1. mint the whole whitepaper by one person is too expensive
2. hold by many person may more easy to build Consensus
3. every one hold the only one unique sentence may interesting, make people have chance to communicate, which is good for build Consensus community.

You wasted your time and money, someone already did that long time ago on TXID 54e48e5f5c656b26c3bca14a8c95aa583d07ebe84dde3b7dd4a78f4e4186e713. If you want to know how to parse it, see https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/q/35959.
Thanks for your sharing. It's really interesting.

But It seems it's not an NFT and it's not  vivid.

Indeed TXID i mentioned is not NFT. IMO NFT feature isn't needed when someone just need to store arbitrary data on blockchain.

qrpaper use Ordinals protocol, and encoded every white paper sentence into a beautiful QR code, It's tradable and it's easy to spreed.

the example NFT image just like this:

If we're talking about easiness of spreading Bitcoin whitepaper, i could just share one of these links
http://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf
https://archive.is/qnVRb
https://web.archive.org/web/20100704213649/bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

And you can even convert those link to QR code image easily with any QR code generator.

Bitcoin Whitepaper does not need to be minted as a NFT. Minting NFT is non sense.

It is readable at https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

Stop using term like Bitcoin Chain. Chain is for shit altcoins, not for Bitcoin. You can use term like Bitcoin blockchain.

Ordinal protocols, BRC20 tokens are useless.
[WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options

Thanks for your correction of the term usage. I have corrected it.

Is this really necessary?

Who knows, but it's a good experiment. I think it's good for enhancing Bitcoin consensus and importance in the Crypo World.

Oh, cool project! I also happen to have a few dozens of white papers from back in the old good days, I believe they were writing them in bulk for a few satoshis, even now you can buy as many as you want, after all it's a simple task of copy pasting.
I could immortalize my scam coins forever after minting them.🤣😉

It may can not copied, because every qrpaper NFT is signed and with an unique serial number.

And it use Ordinals protocol, which can ensure the uniqueness and permanency.
