Hi im new and my english is poor but i want to explain my question

I use binance and i bought Eth with my btc

That was a wrong move; from Bitcoin down to Ethereum? waste of investment, sorry to say, please.

It not totally a wrong move or waste investment since the two both experience surge on price.

thenwhen btc raise eth go low, but each price went high, i dont understand why this happend.

That's the dynamism of cryptocurrency, when Bitcoin is going high some other coins tend to go downward. This is as a result of volatility of cryptocurrency.

Well, it not about the dynamism of crypto currency as you said because the decision of the arbitrages crypto traders is what usually determine if altcoin will dump in price while Bitcoin surge.

You lack the fundamentals of trading in a working way
you do not understand the relationship between btc and altcoin
you must first learn well so that you do not lose your money
stop trading immediately and go to YouTube and watch episodes of technical analysis sessions
this is the beginning.

That's maybe because price of both when compared to USD is increasing but, the increasing price of BTC/USD is higher than ETH/USD (like BTC/USD increased 5% and ETH/USD increased 2%) that's why you are loosing your ETH/BTC. In the current market condition, Bitcoin price is a little bit fluctuating and yet to be stable (the price is always moving), therefore the best way is to only keep BTC to avoid altcoins dump if BTC pumped.

In as much that Bitcoin is trade against Ethereum or paired to each other , an increase in the price of Bitcoin does not directly influence Ethereum. Majority of daily trader in the crypto space trade bitcoin and Ethereum directly with either USDT or USD. That is the actual determant of whether the market value of both cryptocurrencies will increase or decrease.  Bitcoin can increase in market value at the same time Ethereum can also decrease in its market value...

Some times an increase in the value of Bitcoin will not increase the market value of ethereum though not at all time but just that things are not working the way you expect. The best decision you should have made is that, you should have convert some of your Bitcoin to Binance for that alone would have put smile in your face.

The confusion here us because ETH price is based on BTC price, so if BTC goes up and ETH don't change, then ETH goes up with bitcoin, but if BTC goes up but ETH goes down, that's why you have -10% now, the cool part about this is when both of them goes up, because the % is accumulative.

Thank you everyone who made a comment to my topic, I apprecited.

I was confudes because on binance right know: 0,030879 - $171.60 ETH /BTC
but when i was buy eth like a week or two week ago it was 0,034000 - $165.00 ETH /BTC

My question was, i bought eth at $165 and right know its $171 but whem im - %10 ?

This is made my confused.

Thank you again everyone.

if your at loss then you probably bought ethereum at much higher price then the price of ethereum went down, not all exchanges have the same price of each token some may different, some people take advantage of that price different.
That's right, that is arbitration. One way for traders to get profits briefly and only by relying on price differences between exchanges, but remember that arbitration also has risks, especially in delivery time because the longer the delivery time, the greater the possibility that the price in the exchange we are going to change will change.

Day trading is not for everybody. So if you want to earn money by converting coins one into another repeatedly, you better stop wasting money and start looking around more carefully. And learn as much as you can. It could take more than a year. Then you can try playing with really small amounts to see how it works.
-or-
The simple option is holding. If you believe that Ethereum will go 200%, 500%, whatever, buy and hold. On long term (years!) this 10% loss will not matter.
If you have doubts about Ethereum, pick another coin. But do proper research before investing. And invest based on your knowledge, not because some unknown people over internet advertise it. And invest only money you afford to lose (clearly not a loan). Also diversifying between multiple coins (and non-crypto assets too) could be a good idea if you have funds for it.

It sounds like you are down relative to bitcoin but not the USD. Some people here think that bitcoin is the only solid cryptocurrency. I disagree, and I think ETH is very promising. Nonethless, I agree with the general sentiment that bitcoin will remain number one.

Sometimes there's a significant connection of bitcoin to other altcoins. When it rises up, alts are following as well. Later on, your losses will recover with Ethereum when it finally follow the whole move of bitcoin. There will be times that bitcoin is inversely proportional to altcoins and sometimes it is directly proportional. You are new in trading and it is ok for you to experience this kind of move, you must be aware that the market is very volatile and unpredictable.
I concur. Newbies automatically assume that altcoin values will rise when Bitcoin value goes up which is completely wrong. Many altcoins continue to fall in value even with Bitcoin rising back close to $6k at present.

This why they need to research the basics of trading in such a volatile market before investing.

If I understand you, you mean to say despite the rise in the Price of bitcoin and ethereuem you balance on binance is still going low, that can be as a result of technical glitch from binance site and if it continues then you contact binance support for help on how that can be fixed.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with binance system but it is more about his confusion about his trading activity.

@OP Could you please give more details especially about the price when you bought the ETH using your BTC as well as the value of both coins in USD when you did it? Also the price when you see that you are in -10%?
It is easy to calculate when you have the details of the exact price especially in terms of USD.

here is the story like this(example)

i bought eth was 34000 and eth was like $160 and right know its 32000 and its $170 but im - %10 %15
(those numbers are for example)

thats why im curisty, why im  - %10 %15

eth each price is going high but my balance going down ?

Both BTC and ETH rise against USD.
But in terms of BTC against ETH. BTC gained much higher so the value for ETH decrease in terms of ETH/BTC.
Hence you traded at the wrong time.
The good thing is, if you hodl it for long, it will have more value against USD.

Thank you for your answer, you are right i traded at wrong time.

And i must wait long term.

for example, i bought eth was 34000 and eth was like $160 and right know its 3200 and $170 but im - %10 %15
(those numbers are for example)
