thanks for the idea OP, I'm considering opening BitEverest, the tallest bitcoin exchange on Earth.   Also TradeValley, the reverse bitcoin exchange where we pay you to take our bitcoins.

You spell my name wrong, repent.

Fixed.  See how good our customer support is.  We resolve issues within minutes!

Fixed my error, too, repentance. (my post was just for lol, BTW)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

fabbione   ok.. i will talk with Kamion about it when he wakes up   08:47
fabbione   i want to fix the RC stuff and gain more info out of it   08:47
mdz   fabbione: sounds good   08:50
fabbione   mdz: ok   08:50
mdz   he should be up soon   08:50
fabbione   yup   08:50
mdz   lifeless: though rather than "the ones we modify", my idea is "the ones we need to merge"   08:57
mdz   if we have a one-time bugfix for something, we'll typically import the fix from Debian rather than fork   08:57
mdz   and even if we fork, we can leave it alone from there unless we need to merge something new from Debian

I think these two guys are planning something big with one of these exchanges.

We sincerely regret to inform you that at this time the brand new exchange myMtcoinisangotradebitcardshop.com has been hacked by parties unbeknownst to us and definately unrelated to us (shoutouts to Tommy W) and through either a bizarr mistake on the part of the hackers or a gesture of kindness, exactly 48% of the total 100% of funds has been taken from us without us being in control or having anything to do with his actions or intentions and without any knowledge of our previous agreement to do so.

We will be reruturning the remaining funds to our devoted and loyal customer base but unfortunately the hackers saw it necessary to first exchange the remaining 51% to CosbyCoins. We hope this will suffice. As we look towards to the end of this chapter in our history, we are sadenned the community is so full of evil people but believe that we are not at fault-- thats why we are now looking for investors into our second exchange which will be hosted on a different server. Either investors or a loan fir 10BTC to get started.

Anybody?

I don't trust the OP, he doesn't have a 1024x768 picture that he uses at the end of every post.

BE VERY CAREFUL.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought I saw a moving car with a South Korean license plate number on the webcam in his sig. Why does this forum turn crazy around the days leading up to, during, and pass a full moon?

Son of a Bitch! I got here to late. All the good ideas have already been taken. Even all the good domain names for the above mentioned sites have been bought and are now for sale so that some schmucks can profit. All I'm left with is a coffee table and pics of My Little Pony to JO to. Somebody, pass me the Jerkins. I have the need to squeeze.

I've got a 3.5 inch floppy drive and a heap of disks you can use for ensuring the security of your customer records.

I like the way you think, repentance. Would you consider taking over the position of Security Director? (Don't reply here, just PM me to maintain deniability. Better yet, publicly turn it down.  Wink )

For the love of Christ just let me play Bit-Fu when in between trades

Appealing to the Islamic market is another great idea, Bitcoin Porn.

In the established tradition of Bitcoin ventures, I'd be pleased to accept the position of Security Director as it's totally outside my skillset.  I promise to make myself available on IRC for 11 minutes every third Sunday morning to hear people's security concerns and to put vague, meaningless statements on our website about how and when those issues will be resolved.
