There are probably many countries that treat their own citizens worse, but as far as a country thinking they're above international law and can do what they want to any other country and its people, then there's no greater terrorist threat than the mighty USG. These politicians have let our country be eroded from the inside by letting our agriculture slip, manufacturing jobs leave the country, and made finance type jobs a valuable job. Our top paying jobs don't actually provide a service for anyone, they just find ways to "invest" your money.
Hopefully enough people start to make a plan for change. It probably won't happen until the next world war happens.

At least we can vote for a local representative and ultimately a leader for the country. They may not be doing a good job from your perspective, but it is miles better than other 3rd world countries. The government can do better, agreed, but I am marginally content with what we have.
