Probably most of the gang mentioned were all members of the Default trust system, or all of them ? They were like members of Mafia they have the power and in control. They have the authority to red trust anyone, because some of them were abusive with their duty.
Not all, it depends on the gang you refers... take a look of Polar91 gang there's no any single DT of the members Tongue

DT members aren't a Mafia or something criminal, it can defined as a trustworthy person in this forum. Of course they could give green/neutral/red trust to anyone, but it must have an evidence or a reason why they give it. If they were abusive or misusing the power they could get excluded from DT.

please read my first sentence i already said the word (most) . Anyways im not saying their criminals, yes indeed they were role models in this forum they were like cops.
Im just giving the OP an awareness incase if his dealing with a member of DT. So that we should not mess with em.

It's so funny, it's like a novel. Each gang has its own specialties and abilities, and they check and balance each other.

I found that the longer I spend in bitcointalk, the more surprises I can get. There is still a lot of content that I need to explore

As the number of people in the forum increases, it may be inevitable that some small groups (groups of like-minded people) will form.
Most likely, they were found in the Local section.  You haven't found it there?

Yes, there is, AFAIK, there's someone making a thread about the Gangs of BitcoinTalk Smiley.
Let me name it here their gang name.

Real life friends will be difficult because of the nature of the members here because they like to stay anonymous and that is a huge barrier to that friendship. The best way of finding friends in your area that like Bitcoin is to attend the closest meet up. Check out the meet up board to see if there are any members on Bitcointalk that attend. That would probably be the best chance of you finding friendship here otherwise it will probably just be acquaintances.

I guess the Wall Observer is a kind of fraternity, lots of OG bitcoiners discussing price movements, TA & chart predictions but also memes & having fun etc.
Oh yeah, I forgot about them (lol).  I was thinking that there weren't even any cliques anymore after Lauda and a few others left, but the WO thread is definitely the closest thing to a fraternity this forum has.

The mining sections are also kind of a walled off community which brooks no nonsense from those who would post silly things.  You basically have to know what you're talking about, and it has to be about bitcoin mining, not altcoins.

Aside from those two "groups" this forum is pretty much free discussion all around, and that's the beauty of it.  Also it's probably a much more welcoming forum than it was even a year or two ago.  So good luck on your journey here, OP.

I guess the Wall Observer is a kind of fraternity, lots of OG bitcoiners discussing price movements, TA & chart predictions but also memes & having fun etc. We’ve have massive highs when the price is mooning but also sadness when the price dumps, lots of raw emotion & legendary price induced breakdowns have happened there etc.
I’ve met quite a few people from there in real life & become real life friends with them. I’ve learnt a lot from people in that thread, I probably wouldn’t have as many bitcoin as I do without the influence of guys there. It’s the best thread on this forum.

I clicked on this post a few weeks ago, and the 29,152 page response really shocked me. I dare not even reply in this post.

I also believe that there are friends in real life in this forum, but they may not exist in my country. My country is still a bit resistant to Bitcoin.

The forum is rich in information on various topics. And from this, you probably need to assume that you have concluded the existence of fraternities?
Thank you for your reply,I did not assume that there is such a small group in the forum.

Of course, you can join. You are a beginner, read the information for beginners. I think you will find like-minded people there. Do you like investing or, on the contrary, trading, in these topics you will also find good conversationalists? The main thing would be a desire to study something and share knowledge. New ideas are always welcome here.
I actually try to do both investment and trading projects, and both have their own charms.

But I don’t seem to have tried to speak in the trading section of the forum. Some of the price prediction posts in it are dozens or hundreds of pages. I need time to read them all before I dare to reply.

Although my programming knowledge is lacking, my favorite part is Development & Technical Discussion,I learned a lot this month

Thank you, I enjoy checking various topics on bitcointalk. Benefited me a lot.

For the topic of Bitcoin technology, I especially want to participate in the discussion, but I don’t know much about technology, and I have to learn more.
While there's no defined groups, really. If you participate in certain sections, you'll usually see the same users posting, and participating in discussions. For example, the Development & Technical Discussion is a rather concentrated group of users, compared to the rest of the forum, with only occasional new users contributing to that section. If you want to learn more about Bitcoin, then stick to the Bitcoin sections. Development & Technical Discussion usually has the more in technical side of things, while Bitcoin Discussion has a much more, for a lack of a better word, relaxed approach. At least in general.

If you are looking for private groups, sometimes users will make private chats, and invite you, but you generally have to be pretty established for that to happen.
