Can't be part of the Thick-skinned gang and be a crybaby whenever you get called out in posts or whatever lol.
Maybe you should be first learn how to quote a big post when it is a big one !

I don't think anybody reads those long walls of quotes/replies.  Kudos to those that can express themselves succinctly.

Next time it would be nice if you doing it like that:
~~~
As there is no need that everybody in that first post from GazetaBitcoin gets notified if you just want to answer the OP.
Or just mention the User in your post if you want to tell them something.
This is not meant to be offensive to you, just a hint for the next time.
Too many choices geez! Although honestly don't mind being indicted into the DGAF/Thick Skinned Gang lol. I personally think of myself as someone who doesn't really get riled up when discussions get heated and I get called an idiot or whatever (although it may come as if I'm trying to be defensive at times)
How do we get into this massive mafioso cryptocurrency family though? Lol!
Do we have like a feature up for implementation where houses/affiliations or clubs are to be structured? Because if that's the case then it could become one of the most important Quality of Life changes in this forum. Just knowing that you got a closely-tied family in here makes it worthwhile to grind and be just as known as the top members in your clan if that would be the case.
if it's not the case, then it's a bummer, but I surely hope we live and stand for what the families you think you belong to is representing at the very least lol. Can't be part of the Thick-skinned gang and be a crybaby whenever you get called out in posts or whatever lol.
Allow me to nominate theymos to be part of this gang. What other forum allows users to tag Admin and keep their tagging power? Theymos cares more about what he stands for than his personal reputation.
I saw your mention in the other thread as well Smiley Done, added, thank you for this suggestion, LV!
Lol. See my personal text for how much I care. Or this:
This must be the saddest information tidbit I learned recently. In that after 2 and a half year since I last posted here,  Vod and OgNasty are still fighting in this forum.  Shocked Huh
That is false. I ignored him a while ago. I understand he has mental issues as a result of a brain injury. You can’t really blame a mentally handicapped guy for acting retarded, but you can cast shame on those who try to weaponize someone’s mental illness against people who hurt their feelings. That’s just pathetic and definitely not thick-skinned behavior.
~he's above all the petty nonsense that goes on here, so he's not prone to engage in personal attacks (of which I've seen many through the years).  I guess you could call that thick skin but when you're the boss, criticism has a much different level of effect than it would if you were just a regular member.
Well said.
No, OGNasty has me on his definition of ignore.    Roll Eyes   He is fighting with LoyceV, whom I am defending.
C'monnnn Mann... You're worth more than this...
I told the bozo to stop posting his BS, but he continues, not me.   Smiley
Moving forward, I'm working on several projects right now to rebuild my credibility.  I understand I took too long to bring this to court, but I had a few distractions.
This is how I see it... Theymos is cool -- way beyond what any self acclaimed thick-skinner would be... He's potentially driven by his own "rules" -- "that the forum must be as free as possible" That may not be the exact words he used to express it
Nonakip is your brother, right?  It was his server that was left open to the internet with all your files on it.
C'monnnn Mann... You're worth more than this.... during my newbie days -- every other time I saw the display name "Vod", it trickled some droplets of sweat down my spine and actuated me to understand that growth is a continuous process.... What do you think I'm gonna feel today? Y'all don't know how many people get on your damn profile to dig up from your Treasury of wisdom, but this?... C'monnn Mann!!
I am watching and wondering what will happen first, DT getting cleaned up or intervention happening.
Theymos will be reworking DT by the end of the year.   Count on it.   Wink
You think LoyceV is an idiot and you can't even remember your brother ran the nastyfans scam?
You guys really need to get a life.  I get so tired of stating the below.
1) I don't run NastyFans.
2) I buy seats and am a regular member like everyone else (I just bought 25 more yesterday).
I have not taken a dime for any of my time/electricity/space/internet and continue to make efforts to bring in donations to NastyFans.    Cheesy  Grin
It's less about him being thick-skinned and more about him hoping people will do the right thing and keep these insane wannabe extortionists out of the DT network.  Unfortunately, idiots like you care more about trying to punish honest people who hurt your feelings than actually building a reputable system.  So he has a negative trust rating until people like you grow a pair and start acting like men instead of cowardly little dishonorable weasels.  I am watching and wondering what will happen first, DT getting cleaned up or intervention happening.
While pondering your question, I can't actually think of another discussion forum I've been a part of that's had such an odd and arcane trust system as bitcointalk does, so I'll be damned if I can think of an answer.
But we both know how Theymos rolls.  It's not exactly like he acts like the forum is beneath him, but more as if he's above all the petty nonsense that goes on here, so he's not prone to engage in personal attacks (of which I've seen many through the years).  I guess you could call that thick skin but when you're the boss, criticism has a much different level of effect than it would if you were just a regular member.  People here with no power at all who let attacks slide off them as if they were nothing get more respect from me than someone who's essentially unaffected in any meaningful way by jabs, insults, trolling, etc.
So.... is it wrong or correct for WO's to be so overly bullish on BTC ?
No it's not wrong to be overly bullish about Bitcoin. We love it and we believe that it will reach high values overtime and that believe is the most important thing we have. Bitcoin is bullish, it was bullish, and it will be bullish. Let's hope to see that as a part of reality in the coming two years.
No.
He didn't buy a $10K Pizza. He bought a 40$ pizza (or actually a couple of pizza) with 10,K BTC.
The guy is still a millionaire, as he paid the back then, market price for bitcoin.
He also contributed to bitcoin benefit making them circulate.
Ops, sorry for my mistyping, I always use dollar sign during calculation that's why I used $ before 10k. I was referring to 10k Bitcoin not $10k Bitcoin, thanks for highlighting that I'll edit and fix the post. I won't say that the guy isn't a millionaire but he would not be remembered the way he's remember if he didn't bought those two pizzas for 10k Bitcoin. He's a true hero and I admire him for his contribution into Bitcoin and I believe that he's be remembered forever for those pizzas that he bought back then.
I would pay 10,000 BTC for a Pizza replacing Laszlo, if only I had enough Bitcoin to pay 10,000 BTC for a Pizza.
Laszlo is a true hero, and If I had more than 10,000 BTC I would spend those to help the spread of Bitcoin.
HodlingAll this, of course, wouldn't happen if the pizza had pineapple on it.
Of course that guy paid $10k Bitcoin for pizzas but at that time a very few people had the mindset that in future Bitcoin can reach $67k in value and if he was among those people then he would never do that. The guy would be a multi-millionaire or a billionaire if he hadn't bought those two pizzas but even with billions no one would remember his name. However, those two pizzas that he bought with $10k Bitcoin made him famous and people will always remember his name when they will read the history of Bitcoin. He became a celebrity for many people just by purchasing pizzas
5. The Wall Observer Gang
Supreme Leader: unknown
Known members and adulators (wannabees): hordes as large as the ancient Persian hordes, spread among more than 26.073 pages of the WO.
Reputation: probably the people most bullish about BTC. Arguably, the members of this gang use to give many merits when they're drunk Smiley They also seem to be attracted by memes.
Activity: permanent talk about BTC price.
ANN: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wall-observer-btcusd-bitcoin-price-movement-tracking-discussion-178336.
First Mention: April 17th, 2013, 00:32:22
Misc: this is a mother gang, containing also smaller factions cliques, such as The Hat Gang or The Slack Gang
Emblems: the Hat clique uses various hats as symbols of recognition. The greater WO Gang uses as emblem the letters "W" and "O" made in this fashion:
✂️
to the great guys in this wo-thread as well as to the entire wo-gang, Icarus has dedicated this hat-edition to various hat wearers Cool
as this has been very well received and other hat guys are also being 'immortalized', we are planning to publish a second edition next year Smiley
Neither. There is no such thing as being "overly bullish" when it comes to Bitcoin.
