I didn't discover this forum myself because of the information it has. Someone recommended this forum to me, haven seen me make engaging posts on my social media handle. He introduced me here so that I can earn while passionately making posts.

I think the main booster of the forum is the information and community it has. Company won't flock in this forum introducing its services if the forum isn't member and information-rich forum. Merit and activity is just a part of requirement in order to rank up thus, people who wanted to participate in signature campaign works to make the Merit and activity to raise up, but without these company that runs signature campaign in the forum, I still believe the forum will still be active and alive due to the information and being the announcement ground of most of cryptocurrency projects, not saying Bitcoin talk have members that is very knowledgeable about bitcoin and I believe this is the main booster of the forum.

Yes, receiving a merit or merits is an immune or morale booster. I remember the first time I received a merit on my topic. I was over the moon and both my confidence and morale increased. It felt like I was visible, like I was contributing to the growth of the forum and adding knowledge to whatever was already there for Bitcoin. I wanted to do more and I sure did more. So go for it if that's how you see it because that is certainly how I saw it.

Alot that's happening today in here wasn't happening back then...
Merit never existed at first; but the activities in here wasn't relinquishing as compared to this day... So for that reason, that cannot make me believe that those "IMMUNE" boosters are really the case here.
Users like JAY JUAN and philipma have been active in here for over 8years or so, but they're not even in any campaigns lately. Campaigns are seen as fringe benefits for excellent contributions amongst forum users,..I wouldn't say it's not enticing; cus why are we having more peeps bargaining on ways to get merited just to join a signature campaign?? It is anyways but not to everyone. Anyone that tries cutting corners to earn some incentives in here sometimes fall a victim of a perma-ban.

That are not the only immune boosters the forum have, did you check the marketplace where people buy and sell goods, did you also check the games and round where people make predictions and win bitcoin for free, have you checked the bounty and altcoins board because more than half population of the newbies are all centered in those boards, they love anything that has to do with free money and there free small airdrop of $$ that they earn from there, so I think it is worth a review with your conclusion, you should also check the gambling board where people follow betting companies for bonus and events for betting.

Merit, signature campaign, and investment are interrelated in this forum. You need merit to join a campaign and you need the campaign fund to invest in Bitcoin. But to get to this level you need knowledge. It is the knowledge that will help you get merit because your contribution to the forum is what will spur members to give you merits. So I suggest you learn if your want to earn.

There is another part of this forum that everyone should desire to have, Reputation. Reputation is more valuable than a signature campaign because it can give you more than money. Knowledge about Bitcoin can make you reputable but your character is the highway to build and sustain a good reputation. If you are truthful and trustworthy, member will naturally respect your. So as you pursue you quest of earning and investing in bitcoin, ensure you deal with people in a truthful and trustworthy manner.

You have a point with merits and signature campaign but with investment, I am not satisfied, because everyone has different opinions and even the most stupid advice can be useful for some people on here, we all know that Bitcoin is the best investment in crypto space but there are many people that make a life-changing money from altcoins, and they see altcoins as better investments than Bitcoin, it means if something is paying you off, it's better to stick with it..

What works for you might not work for others, that's how wild the crypto space is, some people prefer investing in shit coins and that's where they are making money, which ever ways that works for you no one will stop you.

This is true. And this is one of the good part of the forum. Users can see themselves I'm real life whenever they meet in an occasion or conference. That means you can pm someone whenever you visit a country that the person is in the forum. Just to let the person know that you are in his or her country. Those things I mentioned are part of the forum and they are making the forum more active. And this part you mentioned is also included because the forum is making us to know ourselves even though we are anonymous.

The forum will be a place where we can get to know each other through the real world with several meetings. I even have several groups that I initially met in forums and then held several meetings or casual chats to get to know each other and make projects together. This can also be done across countries and maybe there are forum members here in other countries who come to my country, maybe they can hold a meeting. We may be anonymous, but we will not be anonymous forever.

Well there are members in the forum who aren't interested in the signature campaigns, well not because they don't meet up in rank or status, they actually do some of them have great reputation on the forum but yet they aren't interested in campaign, the best guess is that they are probably very well doing for themselves and don't actually need the extra pay from signature campaigns but we still aren't 100% sure on that, but still they are active on the forum.

Using that we tend to see people have different things that motivate them, we can't speculate on that, there are people who post positively and that is there motivation that their post can help someone not really about the merit but regardless they still get them, what ever it is of what motivates you is not against the rules and regulations then it's fine.

Yeah, you're not wrong. However, I think the merits should take a back seat.

Personally, I don't see the forum as a place where we talk about our investments, but more as a place where we talk about the technical aspects that make our investments quality ones.
As joker_josue said, knowledge is priceless, and this forum is probably the best place in terms of resources and centralisation of knowledge. Many forum members are real sources of knowledge and make their knowledge available to everyone. I could have spend 10 years on Reddit, I wouldn't have learned the 1/10 of what I learned here.

There's also the local aspect: it's excellent to have Local Boards that can help cover current events and explain difficult concepts and ideas in their mother tongue. If Bitcointalk didn't exist I don't know where people would come to ask questions specific (for free I mean) about their country's legislation, taxation, legal changes etc...

You know, just like @lovesmayfamilis mentioned, it's not bad to admit the real motive behind your joining the forum as this is not some exam hall where one would need to join the bandwagon and tick the popular answer.
If I were to be honest, I joined because I wanted to satisfy my curiosity; which was knowing how a forum could pay you just by being contributive. But being here, I got to understand that sometimes, you don't need an 'immune boosters' to do what you love. _{not like getting merits ain't important and all}. Knowledge is priceless. It trains people's mind to investment in bitcoin and cryptocurrency it also expose users to the reality that online space is to be taken with all care and diligent not to be scammed.

The easiest thing to do to contribute to this forum is to observe and look for the categories where it fits you the most because sometimes users will only active in one section of the forum but he actually helping a lot of people there and because of his complex knowledge about the topics there. You can start at your local section and look if what else you can share with them about things that are related to the crypto community or you can also make a translation into your local language to be able to make them understand. like for example preventive measures against hackers and some useful things to do when protecting your crypto wallet and so on so forth.

Apart from the ones you've mentioned, which are very common here, they could still be more energy boosters, but only the person who sees it as an immune booster will know.

Everyone here is motivated by what brought them here; if you get what you want and it works for you, I believe you'll want to interact and participate more here. Those who do not achieve their goals here tend to become discouraged and participate less in the forum discussions. While it is being created, the forum has a purpose; if everyone is here for that purpose, we will have more active users here. However, in the forum today, everyone is entitled to their notion of the forum that brought them here in the first place.
