i think it is very important in today's economy. Due to increased stiff competition among potential employees and the global economic crisis, job searching has become an uphill task for many people during recent years. In the past, having a bachelor’s degree was enough. However, there has been an increase in demand for master’s graduates. This has dampened the hope of many undergraduates and even some degree holders of finding a good job.

Do you think during this era Masters degree is really important to survive in this competitive world ??

If not then why master degree is not necessary Huh

In my opinion masters degree is really important for anyone to be good in certain field because it is an era of specialization and everyone needs best.
even with masters degree, i see many still being a slave to unemployment, under-employment and poverty. in today's competitive world, academic achievement sometimes can contribute to, but cannot solely determine survival level.

A master's degree has intangible value. In particular, it affords you greater personal and professional credibility. For some grads, the pride in telling friends and family that you have a graduate degree has value. Within your profession or industry, you may also experience higher levels of credibility among peers or clients. You may even find supplemental income opportunities, such as speaking, teaching or writing, that wouldn't be available with a bachelor's.

I used to believe that a masters was not necessary. However, now i am at the top of my career, employers are often expecting to see candidiates with masters too. Most of my colleagues are working towards a masters part time or already have one. They are costly, and I dont see the investment return I would like. However, I feel pushed towards studying for a masters in order to move to better employer. However at the same time I have lots of experience in my career, so the masters isnt essential in securing job opportunities.

Am happy you mentioned specialization and i want to tell you that in my experience masters degree does not make you any special in any one or another topic. To be a master of an area of study, subject or life what you need is a lot of experience and practice. Normally this experience you will normally gain by working sitting in the classroom and learning solves no problem until it is applied in real life

Master's degree is not really necessary and we can survive in this world without it. But it can be an advantage for someone to compete for and be place to a much higher position. And also it makes everything so much easier for you. I also want to take Master's Degree once I'm good enough on my field, so I can be the best.  Smiley

On my opinion masters degree is important to upgrade someone's knowledge... for professional growth.. you will be more knowledgeable and become more expert on the field of specialization that you chose. Having a masters degree also gives someone  a chance to be promoted in work. But nowadays people are just taking masters not because they wanted to upgrade their knowledge, but it is a requirement for having a permanent position at work or for promotion.. also there are some universities who offers masters degree whose standards are of low qualities..

It is important if a person wants to work at a university, and to improve their skills and such a person will have a large selection of work) the main thing that a man would want it) that's all) I did not want to, it's enough for me to be an expert Grin

Taking a Masters degree can help You boost your skills and expands your knowledge about a certain course. Yes it is important, because in this world the strong is always acknowledged by people, being able to complete a Masters degree lets other people know that you are very skilled and knowledgeable of your specialty this in turn makes it easy for You to be accepted at any companies You'd like.

Apart from the prestige attached to a master's degree, the real world tells who's more important in a field 8 and who's not. While some jobs would expect you to do top ups for promotion, personal skill acquisition beats all the degrees one could ever accumulate. It's high time we recognized people for their skills and dexterity. That being said a master's degree could earn you a few more dollars in your field of work.

Not really important or special anymore. Previously so few people held those titles it actually made sense and paved a path to a wealthier life but nowadays this is not the case. My cousin is going to school for only a few years

and starting out will make close to 100k. Granted it is mechanic work but still nonetheless somebodys gotta do it, it may as well be you!

it depends on which major did you graduate. if you do mba after an engineering majors, i think it would gain you a good reputation and different point of view and this leads employer to see this person one step forward. however, life is not so certain, there are other ways to get experienced via internship or as being apprentices to the experts before getting hired to a good job.
