I think when gambling is involved, nothing beats having self-control and playing in moderation.  This way all the losses are controlled and we are able to make use of our time for more productive activity.  Don't let ourself hook on the idea of chasing wins and losses because that will be the time that we will be losing money that is more tan what we can afford to lose.

Aside from that, we can't really analyze why we lost if we are playing a luck-based gambling game since its result is random.  I think in this kind of gambling game, the only authority we have is the amount of betsize we are wagering.

Exactly and in addition, I would say that you can easily do these things when you have a life outside gambling, have a job, a hobby, or a side hustle. In that case, you are unlikely to overindulge yourself in gambling or overbetting. When you got a loss, then do your side hustle or play with your hobby. You take a break because you didn't make gambling as your life. And that is very helpful in managing your exposure to gambling casinos. Also, your source of income and entertainment is not only in gambling but in your job or hobby too. So if you are able to manage your gambling well along with your priorities in life, I think that is more rewarding than winning one big shot of dollars.

  • Have alternate plans to execute, so that loss can be minimised while the match is in progress.

This one is also dangerous IMO. By trying to chase and cover your 'unrealized' losses, you are already setting yourself for more losses. What if your live bet to compensate with your possible loss also turned out to be a failure? Sometimes letting these losses occur is much better than trying to get something off of the event and salvage a few dollars. It's not worth the time and effort IMO, and it's better to start researching for the next event rather than sulking in your defeat or trying to win back something off of the lost bet.
Indeed, it would more likely be some sort of 'pushing your luck' scheme. During continued bet losses, I'd prefer taking a pause and having some rest. Once you are affected by your emotions such as frustration, then things won't do you any good. Let it slide for now. The drive to make up with your losses will just more likely give you a tendency to lose even more. Even if you have a large pocket to gamble, you'd be tilted aftereards. This is gambling and we won't always win the game no matter how good of a player you are. Let us simply accept the fact that there are "red days".

Analysis will just help a player to make a guess with basis and not guess alone. It would indeed lessen the risk of losing but will never guarantee winning. Ups and downs are part of our gambling routine and rather than focusing to learn in order to come up with a win, I think it would be better to be preventive, or to simply make adjustments and limitations to how much can you afford losing.

I will start by saying that you should not afford taking a risk of what you cannot cope with the conditions attached to it especially when it comes to gambling funds, dont borrow money to gamble, dont rush into gamble, dont compare yourself with other gamblers, try to learn gambling on your own and don't be so dependent and the most important aspect of it all is for you not to get addicted to gambling by any chance.
That's true, but the problem is that there are still people who still take the risk even though the loss of money will still occur as long as they play gambling. And they can still borrow the money to recover the loss, but that still doesn't guarantee they can recover the loss. And if we lose, we should be able to accept our defeat so that we won't have feelings of regret for having used the money to gamble. And hopefully, after that feeling of regret starts to grow, we can slowly realize the mistakes we have made before so that we can be better by not gambling.

Nothing much to be learnt from the sports betting activities, because we're doing it based on the information we've gathered and not on some luck.

  • Never look for the big odds, go with the one based on the information.
  • Have alternate plans to execute, so that loss can be minimised while the match is in progress.
  • Don't be greedy with matches that are in favour of you, while you've chosen the underdog.
  • Cashout the winning when you're on the best position and chosen the underdog.

I don't brood inside after losing a bet, and it's true that I sometimes comment on which bet didn't go well, but no way do I check what went wrong after the game I lost, that's because when a person starts to think a lot in mistakes and losses, the person starts to brood and feel guilty for having chosen that losing team instead of having chosen that team that won the game, then the depression scenario begins, and when you are depressed, the person starts to feel make a lot of mistakes and depression starts to reach worrying levels and unfortunately no one realizes the seriousness of it, the person continues playing

the person develops depression and paranoia, after the games he sees the mistakes he made and tries to correct them, but he loses again, he does not accept that gambling are not for profit, but fun and that those losses are something normal that happens with all people, the person's money ends up in gambling, until one day the person can't stand so much pressure and dies. It seems like something meaningless what I'm talking about, but it's not. after a game ends in defeat it is better for the person to forget about it and focus on analyzing another game and not feel guilty. look at the game as fun
The cycle of losses, introspection, guilt, and reiteration is a destructive journey, typically unnoticed until it spirals into catastrophic proportions. When recreational activities evolve into obligations or coping tools for guilt or depression, it indicates the transition from enjoyment to addiction. Your counsel to treat gambling as amusement rather than an income source is shrewd, yet challenging to apply amidst habitual gambling

Additionally, your perspective of forgetting past losses and focusing on fresh games is pragmatic, but strenuous for habitual gamblers. The implicit risk stems from the subtle augmentation of bets to cover old losses, often leading to further losses, both financially and emotionally.

if you will keep yourself at bay when it comes to gambling, you won't get into trouble.
Keeping yourself at bay means maintaining discipline. A disciplined gambler will barely get into trouble because of the disciplined behaviour in gambling. An undisciplined gambler will most likely spend on gambling recklessly without control even if they have other  responsibilities with money.

From the losses that I have made in sports betting, the biggest points I have learnt is that every gambler should not only depend on copy betting, that is copying games from other sports bettors without knowing exactly why you are betting on a particular team to win.

Most of the gambling platforms I've used understand that players sometimes reach a point where they need to take control of their gambling habits. To address this, these platforms offer the option to temporarily deactivate an account, allowing individuals to take a break and organize their lives, especially for those who may have lost their way due to excessive gambling. Regardless of how much one earns or how successful gambling may be, it is important to take a break to clear the mind, give the brain a break from constant thinking, and regain the ability to make sound betting decisions. For instance, I personally took a break from gambling and will only resume once the Premier League and other domestic leagues recommence.

for me in sports betting for example ongoing football.. we have to be careful in choosing which favorite team we think we can win.. and in betting we must be prepared to accept losses or gains.. because we must be prepared to lose what money we bet big or small we have to be ready to accept the risks.. the most important thing is we have to be able to control our finances in gambling.. because in my opinion very few people benefit. sports betting
All bets, whether on ongoing or previous sports matches, certainly have a risk, no gambling is without risk, everything certainly has a risk, therefore it is important to manage our expenses in gambling bets, whether betting with small or large money bets, everything returns to faith. those of us who have gone through research and analysis, don't be careless about seeing tempting odds in sports matches.

The best way to gamble is that we know when to gamble and when to stop gambling, because gambling doesn't always win every time, so make sure to find the right time to gamble because not only gambling is betting on sports, even casinos are the same. the most important thing is to gamble with money we can afford to lose.

of the options you have listed this seems to be for professional gamblers. and for ordinary gamblers like me, it really doesn't need to be this complicated, but just betting responsibly and having a commitment with the bankroll you have.
I mean as long as we gamble using money that we can afford to lose with a small budget and always commit to a minimum bet amount, this will prevent us from big losses in gambling. unless gamblers only think about profits and maybe the options written by OP are very good to apply to betting strategies.
That's right, for gamblers like us, I especially don't need to be that complicated, because I personally gamble with what I'm prepared to lose. I don't chase victory because for me it is a bonus from the pleasure I feel when playing gambling. I don't deny that I also want to win and all gamblers will also be very happy when they win, especially in large numbers.
Until now I have only done self-control so that I stop when I have lost what I am ready to lose, and when I win I will also stop when I feel that I have enough, and also I use money that I don't use for anything, or I have budgeted it for gambling, and I have met all needs, including saving or investing.

if you will keep yourself at bay when it comes to gambling, you won't get into trouble. like if you only bet on sports that you are very familiar of and that means, you only place bet if you are rooting for the team or on a specific athlete. and you know your limits when it comes to bankroll. so you won't have any problem even if you lose because that money is considered lost when you start using them for your bets.
of course, you want to win as much as possible. but if you lost the game, and you are using your extra funds, your life won't be a mess, unlike when you use a loaned money, right?
Using borrowed money for gambling is not very wise at all, borrowing only for the necessities of life is actually something that must be avoided when we are still able to make ends meet even though we have to be limited, moreover, borrowing for gambling I would say that is a very stupid thing to do.
We know that when gambling, the percentage of losses will be greater than wins, so don't be stupid in gambling with borrowed money.

Bettors can react to their defeat in a variety of moods, which in my opinion depends on the amount they bet. Usually people who bet are highly emotional when their favorite team plays and places bets beyond their means.

If it's a small bet, the fact is that people won't evaluate it much, especially regarding financial and emotional management. They don't really have to learn anything new from the loss.
Yes you are right, I also feel that way when I place more bets than what I can afford. We will definitely do it with the aim of winning and wishing our luck big at the same time. But when we lose, we will be very sorry for having done it. Things like this must be avoided, because this will react to emotions and regrets which when we can't control it, we will think even bolder to encourage us to continue making deposits to return losses.

Bankroll management strategy: Proper bankroll management is critical for long-term gaming success. Set up a separate budget for betting and make staking limits, such as restricting bets to a certain percentage of your total bankroll.

This is the most important factor for me when it comes to gambling, it doesn't matter if place bets on sports or play games in a casino. Having a strong bankroll management is the key to longterm success and we all should be focusing on it more often. During a losing streak we need to account for the change in our bankroll, the more money we lose the lower our future bets are going to be as we should be focusing on similar percentage size bets. This will protect us from chasing our losses and trying to recover our previous losses with increasing our bets. I noticed this is a lot in my earlier gambling days when I increased my bets a lot in an effort to recover, which in most cases didn't work and only lead to bigger losses. It's not only important to focus on our bankroll management when we are losing bets, but also when we are winning and making money. Having a strict strategy in place for our money helps to secure our winnings. For me the best is to take a fraction of any bigger winnings and withdraw that money, so I don't face the risk of losing it too quickly again.

Well one of the greatest lessons I've learnt so far from my loses are that I should never chase after my losses and even without the forum, I've  learnt this very one in a very hard way.  Another thing to consider is ones specialty  and just as ChiBitCTy has already mentioned that repeating ones mistakes especially  if is intentional is one big error and one way to over come this, is to analyze our losses and also trying to figure out where the error truly is and also correcting it to avoid  future occurrences.

And I've also learnt to stop betting on matches um.nkt really good at like the boxing and its likes and that why I've also sticked to soccer betting to enable me accept my losses.

Some guiding principles will make one's gambling life stress-free and fun-filled. Betting what you can afford to lose is important because you will not have a bad loss. We should learn to gamble with fewer funds so that gambling will not be a burden to us. Seeing gambling as a major source of income is another mistake gamblers make. This will make them face financial problems because gambling will automatically become an investment medium. The gambling sector is too risky to be considered a source of income, so we need to see it as an occasional source of income. Avoid chasing losses is very important because you cannot predict the outcome of the games so no one is sure of the next stake. Having a gambling plan and a budget and following it, will always be my watchword.

Do choose the team that has bigger odds as they are likely to win. Though sometimes it fails but most of the time, they win.
Honestly, we have a bigger chance to win in sports betting as it never relies on luck but on choosing the team. But many gamblers still lose because we can't deny the fact that gambling isn't everything on our hands and we are not the ones who dictate the results. But of course, winning our bet come as long as we are not in a hurry. Most of the time we double our bets as we are chasing back our losses and desperate enough to win, in the end, we lose more.

In gambling it is important to know a few things. One of them is researching the causes of loss and the other is bankroll management. Gambler should research why a bet was lost. Many people conduct gambling without doing enough research and getting hurt. Besides, another thing is that winning in gambling depends on luck, so only those who can survive in the market for a long time can hope to get something good in gambling. Gamblers who can manage their bankroll properly will be able to gamble for a long time.

Well, speaking of sports betting, they shouldn't go highly emotional. If they are serious about it, it should all be part of an overall plan, and that's what I think the OP's advice is aimed at. A winning sports bettor can have a losing session or several losing sessions and then they should analyse whether they have done things right. If he has done well, he should stick to the plan as is and not let the losses affect him emotionally. The bad news is that when losing streaks get longer, this is easier said than done.
