That is what we must do before investing but unfortunately, many of us don't listen to that and make a wrong decision. Many of them directly send some amount of bitcoin or ethereum to the project so they are not late to join as the investor. But after the project running for a few weeks, they found out that the project is not good enough to give them the profit.
Investors tend to easily to be cheated by news, and they mostly not follow the classic statement of Warren Buffet, "Buy the rumors, sell the news". In fact, most of investors do their trading orders or investment decisions in opposite ways, buying the news, and selling the rumours, that mostly cause losses later.

Hey guys. As the title suggests, i've a question to the presale Investors.

Do you invest in Presales?

What do you research first in order to invest?

What makes the project interesting and worth investing?

I ask all the investors, what makes a coin Perfect!?!

A working platform?

Active devs?

or do you guys see something else too?

Please let me know, i'm really keen to know such stuff before becoming an investor myself. Thanks. Smiley

Before investing in any project you should take care of some key points:
- experience of the team in similar projects
- Whitepaper
- social media activity
- references on other websites/forums
Etc.

A good ICO to invest has all these, before they do their ICO and market their product, they made sure that everything has been worked out, their coming platform, their support team, their whitepaper the team behind them are unquestionable and they can answer anything that is relevant to their project.

In my mind, it's not good time to invest anyone ico because now the number of scam ico has increased. But if you want to invest now so first find out good projects. Spend more time if needed, then try to get hold of the project's collected information beforehand. All of this will help you with your investment plan.

be careful if you want to invest because now there are so many project scams. read carefully their road map and how to communicate with the dev party must also be good to always get the latest updates. do not forget to also list the market exchange which will be their goal to launch their tokens when ico ends.

I invest in presales back then years ago, why? because bonus on presales is really big sometimes you can get bonus up to 50% which is really big. Of course i do some research and find many information about the project and the ICO before investing my money. The product and the team behind the project is the biggest reason for me.

First of all the idea need to be unique and the project team also need to have enough experience and reputation on blockchain feiled if people want to consider their project for investment. If they have good advertising strategy to bring more traffic then it will be enough to funds for them so people are going behind the projects where already people are investing.

I see everyone needs a new idea these days.. Can you suggest a few? What does unique mean according to you? What if the dev team is new and not experienced?? What if they have great advertising but is a scam? This doesn't make any sense..
The answer is simple. Don't invest to them and leave them, search for the other project Grin
There are many projects out there waiting for your money, and with the right investigation about the project, I am sure that you can find one project that will give you a profit in the future.
The process of searching itself is not easy because you need to find out the information about them and you need to browse in many resources to know how good their project.

I think one of the main things you should research before investing is look at the project team to find out whether the team is reliable, trustworthy and reputed. Second you should see whether the project is unique or not. The market has many projects similar with each other. If a project is unique and it has potentiality to progress over time, it will grow. Basically these two things are most important ones before investing. I would invest in presale, if the project is investment worthy.

How do you know if the project team is trustworthy, reliable and have a good reputation? because of the information on their linkdin which could possibly be manipulated and full of fake information? or there is a way to know them physically and know their background history with past achievement(s)? project could be unique still does not give any assurance that it's a good investment,
the above mentioned may seem like a guide to help make a good choice when making an investment, but still not enough because most project with exit scam or failed possess all the above yet nothing good came out of it, to me it's complicate and at the same time luck.

No one knows is that coin perfect or not. What we can do is only research and using our feeling when we decide to invest. Invest on Pre-sale is good because give many bonus. But like others project, we should always careful and we should know the project is active and developers team looks solid

Most investors in ico are very risky and they will probably be empty. As you know, 2018 has a lot of fraud projects that lead to the loss of investor confidence in ico

Yes I am, investing in pre-sales in depending on their plans in the future they have to the token they are promoting or campaigning it.
Of course to see it first the usages of the token, is it realistic and attainable, or they have a capability to give the demand, and knows what their WP, and lastly know their assets too and background.

Before I can consider investing in any project no matter how good the offer may look, I don’t look at the offer but most of the attributes you listed are very keen to me in investing, usually I don’t participate much in presale, I wait for such token to get to an exchange first after ICO to study and see their performance before investing.

In considering project to invest in, I have to also be convinced about their project team, I usually prefer those projects that do live stream when presenting, and through their presentation, I should be able to discern if the project is worth it or it’s another imaginary product that will not move the market forward, these I the things I strictly look into before investment is done.

Participation in pre-sale is a risk. The community helps to make a decision. The guys discuss and come to FAITH. It's always a very personal question. Turn on intuition. And if there is interest - play. After all, the exchange is a game.
It is not a good thing to always gamble with our investment, whatever we are not comfortable with, its best to stay away from it completely, I too for once do not like pre-sale ICO so I stay away from it till it enters exchanges, because the faith of the project will be decided when it gets to exchange if it’s a project that will stay longer or get pumped and dump.

I don’t invest projects for short term, I like projects that I can invest in and when I look back at my investment in some years of time, I will smile. If I wanted a short term profit, I know how to trade and not profit from pumping and dumping. So, if our key interest in a project is for its product and services, its best we don’t go in through pre-sale.

I think there is only one factor. That is the community. If the community of a project is good, it will definitely have a chance to partner with Binance or other major exchanges and other partners.
A large community will also help a bad project to be great in the future. Wink

I agree, community plays an important role too -- but how to attract one?

Say a project is really good, but got the bad guys in the community, what then? Coin will be dead?
If the project is good, it will attract a stronger and good community, but if the project is good, it is absolutely impossible for it to attract more than 10% of bad guys, at least 90% of the community will be of a good one.

Most of the projects that usually attract bad community are the ones that presents their projects to the public through the point of investment alone, but a project that is able to convince people from that perspective of good product and services before talking of investment benefits will attract more of serious investors, that understand fully what investment is all about and not gambler community.

I would not recommend investing in any ICO now, even in the presale where you can get a massive discount.

In the past, presales were all the rage because ICOs would often hit hardcaps early and get listed quite soon.
And since trading volume was very high, coins shot up in price fast.
Presales were popular because you could do a quick flip for huge profits.

Unfortunately, that just isn't the case right now and it has nothing to do with quality of the ICO.
There just aren't the numbers to support that kind of investing and trading.

So if you are still intersted in investing in ICOs, the best thing to do is to wait.
Wait until the ico finishes and see how much demand there is for it.
Most likely, the price will end up being even cheaper than presale prices.

Kind of interesting to see if there are such options available to see the research of a project.
I prefer to see the project which people wished to invest to that project, but even if i research, it just wasting my time you know.
learn to make your own research, I think that is important for your development in the future crypto market. you can't wait for the decision to choose people. moreover you only depend on the decisions of others. you can be used as bait for cheating.
therefore it is better to use our research than to depend on others because each person can always change their mind so that your fear will become bait
