Tonight the US is going to start a war with Russia by bombing the hell out of Damascus. When the world stage is at war, all the money rushes to reserves like gold and bitcoin. Meanwhile we've been through a potential armed conflict with Syria already when Obama was president, and people have been ready to impeach and lynch Trump ever since he got elected--and gold & silver have been either dropping or stagnating at every point in between. I think the metals market is going to continue to be flat. People are just sick of no action in it, and there's very little potential for profit unless you're a paper trader (IMO).
Having said all of that, I don't routinely watch the news and am unaware of something war-like brewing. Is this true? Are we going to war?
Also: Defense stocks tend to do pretty well when there's a good chance guns, planes, and tanks are going to get used on a large scale. Have to keep my greedy little eye on those.

I think that's probably just a bunch of words being said, plus my *uneducated, a-political* guess is that Trump will be less keen to jump into Syria's problems than Obama was, but who knows. With a complete sociopath (Trump), you never know what's going to happen.
