In what situation would bitcoin die ? Its million dollar question. When globally all government band bitcoin then bitcoin will die. When all people don't use it then bitcoin will die.when another popular cryptocurrency coming.
because the big user bitcoin is from China and Russia, I don't think it needs to be globally, but large countries such as the USA, Russia and China if banned then bitcoin immediately die.

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
There are many ways that bitcoin would die, for example : what if nobody uses bitcoin anymore because it is becoming worthless, what if because of world war 3 there are no more internet connections because of the war and what if the government wants to ban bitcoin and wants to shutdown it.
yes chances are always there but i think we do not think that it will ever happen, because bitcoin is becoming more and more popular from  day to day, the users of bitcoin are also increaing from time to time therefore i do not think that there are any possibility that bitcon will ever die, hope it will become more and more stronger from day to day.

I don't think that your statement is right on the part of "what if nobody uses bitcoin anymore because it is becoming worthless" because to tell you the obvious we are the basis of Bitcoin's price. And what I mean about that we are the ones who are creating Bitcoin's demand as we are the ones who dictate the price of it. Also your other scenarios are too much farfetch as I can't imagine it happening as of the moment, world war 3 is something serious that no country could even think about starting it yet.

In case of a major security failure, vetting prohibited in all major countries and if someone gets somehow more than 51% hash power and can controll the chain.

I do not think it will happen. If it happens, I think it could be a legal issue. Because Bitcoin is a virtual currency that the government can not manage, taxed so many people will use it to launder money for illegal activities so authorities will pay more attention. It and you know what will happen next

I think when bitcoin use in some illegal activities like buying drugs, illegal guns and some ban items that can't use in the a country. So there is a factor that bitcoin is force to ban permanently by the government.

If everyone stops using it or if in some way becomes wothless, these are the two situations I think of that could make bitcoin die. But I don't know what could cause something like this, people get used to bitcoin and all benefits that it gives and demand is geting biger all the time.
It is so very impossible that everyone would stop using bitcoin for becoming worthless there is a less chance that bitcoin will go down because as of now many people are now using bitcoin to earn money and future purposes. Maybe the only way that bitcoin would die is because of the government if anyone will start bitcoin as payment for illegal activities maybe the government will declare bitcoin as illegal too and they will shutdown bitcoin.

Well Bitcoin relies in technology, without internet connection nor gadgets you can't use Bitcoin and it will die for sure. There is no problem with a government banning Bitcoin because we can always use proxy to hide our identity and ip address.

If there are many security problem and too much scam
Also if many country banned the bitcoin, the demand will be drop significantly
And i think its not possible for bitcoin to die because it become fundamental on the internet

Can someone please explain to me what is meant by "die"?  Disappear totally? Out of usage?
I think it is about the price. And I believe that when the prices are less than $1, Bitcoin will definitely die. That is why we should encourage more people to join this place and teach them how to make money with Bitcoin

Unfortunately bitcoin has bad news which will decrease their popularity as great investation.
For example , ransonware require bitcoin as payment , it become bad reputation for people so they become afraid of bitcoin before try to invest

Now a single bad news lately I don't know what news you read.
And I my humble opinion is about time we quit seeing bitcoin as an investment and we use it as satoshi wanted.
A simple and inexpensive method of payment avoiding a 3rd party.

in addition to that answer bitcoin will die if any country in the ban it.
China banned bitcoin about two thousands times and nobody cared (after the first two or three).

in addition to that answer bitcoin will die if any country in the ban it. Also if people find another type of bitcoin that is better than it. There is a possibility that people will stop using it if it happen. I think if bitcoin will have more problem and bad issue this could also be the reason for it to die. especially if they didn't fix it as soon.

I heard that bitcoin died already about 200 times hehe.It is really weird but it is truth.Price falls down and they say bitcoin will die and then it grow then say bitcoin go to 1 million $ and after that again big drop comes and they say again bitcoin dead and this happents in circle so only best marketers can know that bitcoin will not die.

Bitcoin will never die. It may fluctuate but will never die and is permanently in the history books. My hat off to you Satoshi Nakamoto.

Yes its true it will never die, the value maybe fluctuated or go lower but still, bitcoin will always have a value, it will always be our source of income it can help us even though the value was fluctuated.

yes the decrease in bitcoin value does not mean that bitcoin is now going to down and it will die off soon, whenever the decrease came in bitcoin price, the bitcoin always recover that decrease soon and always cross the the previous price and reach to very high price, and also now the bitcoin is much stable, the price is going to high day by day, so i think it is difficult that bitcoin will die .

its true the bitcoins well never be die. because there users increase day by day. there are alot of investors of bitcoins. bitcoins demand are too much increase. bitcoins value are increase day by day. just  fluctuation can increase and decrease there value. now a day the price of bitcoins are too much high because of demand of bitcoins. when the demand well high then the supply well be come low and expectation of bitcoins price well low.

A legend doesn't die it simply surprasses it's challenges issues like scaling debate? Malleability? Will get solved immediately if segwit gets activated.
And recent malware that is robbing the users bitcoin is not the crypto-currencies fault but the government and the OS provider itself which is microsoft. The government or to be more specific NSA should have told that there is critical vulnerability in windows.
Why would a digital currency get blamed by this?
The government knows it is not the fault of bitcoin because it is a valuable invention, it doesn't affect badly with bitcoin and we see how the price pump even if the segwit is not yet activated, people are really speculating positive outcome when this things will be activated. Further, the market can benefit bitcoin with faster transaction and I believe it will help the price increase more.
The government doesn't have a connection or relation with bitcoin because they are both against from each other and bitcoin is created to solve the current issue or problems that we are facing because of the fiat money that has been made by the government while government is against of bitcoin because they know that they can get defeated by bitcoin if they will just let bitcoin do its wants.

I would think that Bitcoin would get shut down if there was an EMP explosion though I am pretty sure that Bitcoin could survive if someone actually put a network beyond the range of the EMP.

If someone wanted to reboot Bitcoin then they could do it with a mesh-net type of server, so Bitcoin is pretty tough to shut down for good.
As long as two computers survived the EMP explosion then you could continue to use bitcoin but at that point that will be useless but maybe someone will decide to do it just to be able to say bitcoin survived even if the usability of bitcoin will drop to zero at that point.

Same as wannacry if a scenario arises affecting lots and lots of transaction and the entire network getting stuck will cause a downfall. But it won't cause a complete destruction, development team is strong enough to overcome such issues. Even the wannacry ransomware is cleared in a simple manner.
Wannacry is not an issue for bitcoin because it is the os users fault, if they will update their os regularly and also do some security practices then they will not get infected by the wanna cry ransomware. Wannacry is not a big deal for bitcoin either because bitcoin is just used and there is no connection between them.
I disagree with you, the guilty ones are the hackers, do the owners of the computers bear some responsibility for not updating their OS? Yes, but to blame them directly is unfair many people only know how to login in facebook and make a quick search in Google.
