Bitcoin would stop if it is banned, or if there is not more internet. and better still if rapture happens.Lol
but i do not think that bitcoin is going to be banned, as bitcoin is now becoming more stable and popular therefore i think it is not becoming more difficult for the governments to bane bitcoin, but they are gong to legalize bitcoin in their countries.
Lol although bitcoin popular though. prohibited or legal it's up to the decision of the government. if bitcoin hurt that country the government would banned bitcoin despite bitcoin popular
Same thing happened in Russia. It didn't make any collapse in the country's economy, but the government feared on its potential and issued a ban on bitcoin usage. Soon after this they made a committee to know better about it and understood it's potential and the ban have been taken off and has planned to implement the technology into their financial system.

So it is a proof, no more countries want to ban the bitcoin again. Because bitcoin is the latest technology, people use it to support their financial crises, and it is also useful for the government, If their countries' s people happy when why need government ban the bitcoin?

How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
I think Bitcoin will dead if every country decides to ban Bitcoin permanently, then,no demand, no users, no transactions. This is the most direct reason.Of course, I don't want this day to come.

I really doubt that "every" country will decide to ban bitcoins permanently. There will always be a country that will choose to not follow the trend and decide by himself. Just think about it, if every single country has banned bitcoins except you, then all of the exchange sites will be based on your country. Thus, you will earn all of the tax that every country used to earn from exchange sites.

Let's say that hypothetically all countries decide to ban bitcoins. People will just do person-to-person trading and bitcoin will be seen as purely a black market. Seriously, tons of things are banned in this world but how come people are still doing it as if it's not against the law at all.
Yes, all counties can not ban bitcoin. I don't even see that happen, the cannabis merchant, hotel, cafe etc are now accepting bitcoin. Besides, a lot of people are thanking  bitcoin and only a heartless government will hurt the heart of common man which were earning some USD through bitcoin.

just because bitcoin popular does not mean the government should make legalization in bitcoin. and besides ban on bitcoin will not make bitcoin die? This time though there are many countries that ban bitcoin

of course bitcoin will die when the Internet disappeared. because the only way to access the bitcoin is with the internet. but bitcoin will not die even if the whole world ban bitcoin

bitcoin will not die. people some or other way will find out the way to use it. As far are technology is growing more and more people are joining in the btc which is making its people much greater. so there is no chance that it will die. it has become a best way of investment where we can store our money to use it later which much profit.

Full blocks is basically bitcoin's way of committing suicide. This will lead to centralization. Follow up on Roger Ver's standings

I was wondering if there are still person who maintains the algorithm for Bitcoin? If there were? How'd they didn't fix this one since its been revealed 2016. Or, the bitcoin's system allows them those acts which can affect bitcoin itself.

We all know that bitcoin is volatile and we can't deny the fact that even in the market, there is a manipulation by this powerful individual which highly affect its price and even in mining blocks there is. I will not be surprised if we woke up one day and find out that bitcoin collapses.

As far as I know(And I'm definitely not good with the specifics of bitcoin), a collection of devs are currently upkeeping everything. To fix this, a hard fork would be needed. If a hard fork were to be conducted, it will be quite problematic as all full nodes would need adopt the hard fork. Implementations such as BU have been created to try and combat this, however, that is still not an actual bitcoin.

But I would like this problem to be solved peacefully. I do not want a fork. Let all big companies come to a consensus.
I'm sure this will be the best option

I'm talking about raising the block limit. There is no way to solve this "peacefully" or without a hard fork. I don't really understand what you're trying to say and how "big companies" play a role in this argument.

if all goverment from around the world is banned btc , mostly impossible

Yup, that is one of the things that I fear about. Look what happened to all medicinal plants that can kill cancer cells and cure diseases, to the inventions that just vanish that can help sustain better economy and reduce global warming, to the intelligent people who have better ideas that can help the world.
Herbs= banned

What herbs are you talking about specifically?

Using the media to give bitcoin a bad reputation to the mass will just cause them trouble. The reason for this is people will conduct research about bitcoins and if they get deep enough, they'll find out that fiat is virtual and nothing backs it up. Fiat is inflated for a very long time and it will continue to inflate more.

The government or whoever powerful person you were talking about were able to remove those oppose them from the face of the Earth because those things exist. Bitcoin is just a data. How can you kill a data? And even if the government were able to shut down the bitcoin network, people already know the idea/concept of bitcoins. You can never kill an idea. An idea stays forever

You certainly can't kill an idea

But you can always kill the people which stick to this idea (like you can easily wipe away any data). Or just make them lose any faith in it. The latter would work even better since you wouldn't have to dirty your hands with someone's blood and the result will be more sustainable overall. Though I agree that the best policy for governments (if they wanted to get rid of Bitcoin) would be complete ignoring it. In this case, Bitcoin could potentially die on its own in due course thanks to internal issues

As we can see BTC is a threat to government, bankers, businessman, central banks. This powerful people will do almost anything to the things and people that opposed them. There's  a possibility that BTC will be banned. They might use the media to make BTC have a bad name to society and I hope "we" who believe in these cryptocurrencies will fight for what what we believe is right.

There are many situation that bitcoin would die for example: if no is using it, if there are no more internet ( but it seems not impossible) , and what if bitcoin was banned or consider it illegal. Of course we bitcoin users will not let it happen because bitcoin is a big help to us.

The end of any other crypto not named bitcoin can be very fast since the investors could just dump the coin and the confidence in the coin plummets, or the devs stop their work and run away with their money, but bitcoin is a lot stronger and I don’t see it dying fro any reason.
the project was too great to be abandoned , that was not reasonable.

bitcoin user has been spread around the world , no matter how much investor dump bitcoin it will not affected too much. the other investor ready to pump it back. the only concern i have are when bitcoin required internet access , then when no internet then no bitcoin transaction , means it is dead.
the ups and down is the nature of bitcoin but in fact the users of bitcoin are increasing from time to time and which is making bitcoin more and more popular and stronger. so bitcoin will continue for a long time.
yes everyone know about how the pump and dump in the market are a normal thing.

but the problem i concerned are when there is no internet access , i know in the future maybe there will more than just internet as technology grow so fast. just wondering when that scenario happened , bitcoin could really totally dead  right? no activity without internet.
But even if there was no internet for some time your balance should still be there as long as someone has a copy of the blockchain, it isn’t? So after you got your connection back then you could just synchronize your wallet and you will have your bitcoin.
while you waiting for the internet connection get recovered and back online , there a lot of people get panic and sell every single bitcoin which means there will be a big dump causing the market chaos and of course the price of bitcoin dropped so hard .

it is gonna be a nightmare for bitcoin , let's hope that will never happened .

The government and this powerful person can do what they want including banning its citizens not to use the bitcoin as payment online I hope the government does not do that and when bitcoin increasingly popular among the world population hope there is no government or  this powerful person who was envy so dropped bitcoin and make bitcoin dead

I think bitcoin will die in a situation that it will make it not famous and will never use by anyone. Many new crypyocurrency will be invented and if it is better than the bitcoin and in a way that it's value will just stay at high and will never be get low and low. If that happens many people will change use and then it will kill bitcoin and wait for the time that it will die because of another crytocurrency. Yet as I see that will never happen, because bitcoin is better and such a big help in our society.
