i have 13 Gh/s and i make 0.0128 BTC daily

If I am calculatin right with the current value of BTC of 300 USD, you are making a daily 3.84$ .. not mentioning the hardware initial costs and power consumption. I wonder if this is profitable? (seriously)

Maybe for longterm it really is .. depending on which value BTC will have in 1 year, you will have made a lot of them - if you do made some after all concerning the risen difficulty.

For BTC there is currently no big reason for new miners to join the club. If you are thinking long term, that may be work out.

Funny is that ppl jumpsbuying from BTC/LTC/FTC/PPC to make some profits (which work out) but looking at the current rate $->BTC wait some days, BTC->$ buy hardware. You bought hardware with 30% rebate - doh. And you missed xx days of mining BTC (which would be worth 0.0xx BTC)

Cloud Mining .. hmm .. actually that is nearly the same as buying BTC directly. In my Opinion. Actually you are renting hardware. Which in long term is more expensive and you get always less revenue.

In Mining Business currently everything is up to where the ASICS will go. You will just not be able to conquer against the big ASIC Farms. Look it like this. They got a big farm, make a lot of money, they spend money to get an even bigger farm. You will not be able to conquer with them. Never. At some point in time that will be meaningless? No, because there are TransAct Fees then. And the big farms will be already massivly big. (they are the new banks)

This is one reason why i prefer LTC atm .. or any other Crypto which aims for wider hashing distribution. PPC is to new for me, but seems to be the ultimate way to go

just buy some hash power with cloud mining: actually it is just 0.09 BTC  for 1 Gh/s.
this is the link if you wanth to know more:

and how much do you make per day with 1 ghash?

Probably somewhere near .001BTC/day.

In other words, a complete and total waste of money.

3 months to ROI if difficulty stays the same, but estimated difficulty rise is 4x just for early next year when all preordered hardware is received - no way to be profitable

if you know how to trade GH/s you can do much more  Wink . you have to play on the daily up/down of the price to make nice profit.

this is a mix of mining and trading. and i like this way.

gh/s always going to be worth less, especially while making crazy diff jumps.

What is the eye rolling for? I have some 280x cards and they mine litecoin beautifully.

Is there a way to increase hashrate mining on a PC?
Doing nothing but opening minor and go, I get roughly 300m/s, can I increase this or is it already capped? (GPU)
Cheers!

GPU mining bitcoin is dead, you can choose other cryto like Litecoin, feathercoin etc.... The only way to increase your hash further is overclocking. But it would consume more power and more heat..... Good luck ...

It's honestly a waste of time to mine bitcoins at this point you're better off mining alts and then transferring those into bitcoin.  You'll probably make more bitcoin as a results anyway.

scrypt as in LTC and Feathercoin?
Yes. Or even pools that mine the most profitable coin and payout in BTC, like hashco.ws or multipool.us

However, for speculative purposes, it can be wiser to mine a coin that you see it has future and hold it.

No not yet, wanted to check if there was any other simple newbie way I might have missed.
Plus, I have 2x GPUs, does it automatically (GUIMiner) use both?
Thanks.

delete your guiminer and setup cgminer

a lot of threads for this one

scrypt is "profitable" as of now, even without "free electricity"

If you have a ASIC, it might be a little profitable. But if you have a GPU, its no longer profitable unless you mine Alt scrypt coins.

I think it has to do with your -v flag settings.
