That will be a great advantage in cryptocurrencies as people with popularity can easily influence the common. It will attract more investors in getting into bitcoin and other crypto which can possibly rise the value.
It may be for their popularity or wealth gain but it helps people.

Token That Will Transform The Venture Capital Mark
This is a good news for the world of cryptocurrency. Celebrities are public figures of what they do or imprint will be imitated by his fans. The fans will be interested in cryptocurrency because his idol already has cryptocurrency. With more celebrities investing in cryptocurrency then cryptocurrency will increasingly famous

Because it will attract more investors if they see that their favorite celebrity endorsing it and it makes more legit because crypto currencies is very in demand today so people love to see that there are many celebrities want to support this new kind of technology.

More the celebrities endorses better it is for the rest of the investors as their fans will follow them and start buying and with this increase in demand the prices will get a push up which is the most desired at this point of time.

Celebrities are the most powerful way of advertising,  in this way it will lessen the wrong belief about bitcoin because they knew that their not going to use celebrities if it will damage their images endorsing such thing like this. And also it will increase the volume of people who wants to get involved  with this kind of technology.

In my opinion I dont see or heared any big celebrities that promoting cryptocurrencies or bitcoin or any altcoin.. but I have seen one shes not a celebrity back home but shes like a vlogger/rapper/teacher so yah..I dont want to judge a person like her because I've read some replies that they just doin that to be popular or to get peoples attention.it maybe like that but this girl I am talking about above is experiecing also the goodness and blessing of cryptocurrencies in her life  and she was just sharing it so that other people will experience what shes been experiencing for a long time...so aside from.being popular for her talent shes getting popular for being one of the believer of crypto..so in short dont just say they just want it to gets some attention  celebrities are doing it because they want people to have awareness in this kind of doing they can also start of their own..and hope someday even the BIG celebrities will also promotes cryptocurrency so that more people will have more trust in it.

Within the increasing of crypto popularity, I think many people are tempted to try their luck in crypto, and it's okay for anyone to try to make their own coins, but just make sure the coin good a good features, relying only by the famous owner popularity won't make the investors attracted, in the future there will be more celebrities trying their luck in crypto, because it's very profitable

Influencers are the best medium for advertising because of its fans and viewers. Because of this people are trusting and supporting the coin which is one of the reason of people are being scam specially if they have a zero knowledge about crypto currency.

completely agree. I think crypto has become just a new trend for them, like the release of perfume or handbags ten years ago. And the celebrities understands crypto even less than they understood handbags Grin

It's a good news indeed, we need this type of news as this is some sort of motivation especially now that the market is bloody red. I believe prior to this there have been other celebrities that endorsed bitcoin. Some of them are:
1. 50 Cent (Rapper)
2. Nas
3. Richard Branson (Virgin Group founder)
4. Ashton Kutcher
5. Katy Perry
6. Floyd Mayweather
7. DJ Khaled
8. Mike Tyson
9. Jamie Foxx

You are totally missing the point. These celebrities are creating their own Alt coin and this is not helping Bitcoin when people

are not investing their money into Bitcoin, but rather into these CelebCoins. This will fracture the Bitcoin user base and also

decrease Bitcoin adoption. I think this is a bad idea and a FAD that will blow over in no time.  Angry

Personally, I think these celebrities are just riding the wave of the crypto craze to make themselves somehow relevant yet again on the scene, or to make a buzz on their dying careers. So far I haven't seen a single celebrity who really knows what he/she's talking about, and much of them clearly just memorized things off of a script when explaining the benefits of cryptocurrency and what kind of things can it do to help people in their financial status. I would still listen to a relatively unknown person with lots of experiences at hand and a proven track record rather than a celebrity who just reads things off a script and spew nonsense to make his/her advocacy believable.

Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is launching a cryptocurrency in his own name, joining other famous sportsmen including Manny Pacquiao in a new venture to connect with fans.

The retired England star announced Wednesday his investment in the Singapore-based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) as he unveiled the “Owen Coin”.

Could this be a booster to cryptocurrency because these celebrities have big influence world wide and could invariably canvass more support for cryptocurrency.

Ah! Come to india! Most of the celebrities here are holding bitcoin since many years and recently the legend Amitab Bacchan has announced his wealth in the crypto currency which is more than hundred millions now. I think there are many more politicians and public figures who owns more than enough money into it. If it would have been any effect on it then it is already there and we are blessed with it.

If people like them starts buying the crypto again and on larger scale then we can start seeing the effects of spikes and hikes in the bitcoin market. For now I don think any of them is buying as the news could have been spreader like crazy.

Its gonna be more interesting, if a lot of celebrities will join in crypto by endorsing it,  it will notice by other people who doesnt intersted in crypto.. maybe this could be a good thing, they will easy to accept it, because they see now that more celebrities has joining into it..
So far so good as it sounds that way. However, if increasing number of celebrities endorsing cryptocurrency, it will be hard to disseminate tokens by themselves. If only they know how to trade and sell bitcoin as their income. Though, it is fascinating at the same time for the celebrities to try the way other full time bitcoiners do for the sake of earning bitcoin for their entire life.

In my country, there are even 2 celebrities that have already started their ICO projects to earn the profit.
They are seeing the opportunity where the others are not. I am not blaming them.
Actually, I admire them because they or their manager have good ideas for the own coins.
This can for sure bring them even more popularity and profit and others who are jealous of these specific celebrities can actually hide themselves because they don't have any good ideas.

There are two ways in which celebrities are doing this, at first we saw celebrities promoting some cryptocurrency projects that were promoted by them that was just a marketing ploy to try to get more people to invest in the coin, but now we are seeing that some celebrities are creating their own coins and to me this is nothing more than an attempt to make money.

To a certain extent, yes, I believed that they celebrities endorsing crypto's will somewhat push the market to the next level. We all know how sports fan really follow their idols not just on their career, but as well as outside or personal life. So sportmen are somewhat influential and the likes of Owen and Pacquiao venturing into crypto will be a big boost or can even add to the legitimacy of the market. We have seen, Floyd and other sports of Hollywood celebrities having their own coin or endorsing ICO's and this will be the trend for the next years or so that will really bring crypto's closer to their fans. So it will be another win-win for us.

Maybe the true reason of why they are getting in here is they want to invest their money in crypto, because aside of their sports they are very active in different businesses, and maybe they have seen a huge opportunity to earn big in cryptocurrency like bitcoin. But of course, because of their popularity and influential to other person, it is very easy to them to promote bitcoin.
