It's not a cultural thing but, gambling has a remarkable influence in the history of India. It is obvious that Indian people really likes to gamble and crypto just fueled the interest by offering anonymous bets. If government is going to regulate and make it legal. It would be good for the country as they can't do much against the underground gambling.
Gambling would surely boost their economy and there's no solution for those underground gambling that exists in India. Its not them who only tackles with this problematic situation but many countries do so.

They are legalizing it and if you'll search for different Indian-based online casino's, there's too many of it that exists today including the non-crypto and crypto casino's.
A lot of posts have always been wanting gambling to be legalized in some countries, and it's okay because if you manage to think about it when you are winning or losing to the casino, there would still be income for the casino since there are a lot of players there. So it can be taxed.

It is good that they are going forward with that and in some other countries, I'm not sure why they are not yet legalizing it or probably wants to have a cut with the portion of the profit or something. It would be interesting if there were to be news about this kind of stuff.
Most of the Indians are involved in sports betting and due to sports huge betting India government has decided to legalize all kinds of gambling online or offline. Now people have no fear to be arrested by law enforcement agencies. I think if all governments in the world legalize gambling they can generate handsome revenue from these gamblers because they are very large in number.
The indians does like sports betting but what you said about people have no fear of been arrested by law enforcement agency and about their government legalization of betting both offline and online which was truth but complicated because online gambling or betting was restricted in some parts of the Indians state even almost 10 people were been arrested for violating the online restriction rules and regulation on Tuesday.

Still 4 states are not legalized the gambling they are, Telangana, Orissa, Gujarat & Andhra Pradesh. Apart from this other states are legalized in gambling and even online gambling site have forbided this states users to play.
No, you definitely misunderstood every thing . Like i said earlier their legalization in Indian is complicated and Orissa and Andhra Pradesh prohibited gambling but Telangana state still have conflict over gambling but yet to decide if they ban or not while Gujarat prohibited online gambling and advertisement of anything related to gambling.

And now in India this has been being considered which is good for them. It's either they can't fight with those anymore and they just have to embrace the industry so at the same time, they are going to make money out of those gambler's money.

There's big money on gambling and they are for sure going to get a lot of tax cuts there. Still they have some conditions on what games to legalize.
Then it's a win-win situation for them, and that's just the start. When a lot of businesses/casinos have started, it would still add to the funds coming from it. It's always going to be the ones who believe that prosper, even considering the risk of gambling. Just like you said, they would need to work some things out in the contracts on how they are going to go about it, but in the meantime, they should gamble. lol
For the government usually it is a win-win situation for them, they are would just give requirements and other setup of arrangements for those gambling businesses to operate. Now that gambling seems to be adopted there though with some restrictions.

I'm looking forward for the time where they will integrate and consider cryptocurrencies. As we know, crypto gambling is another big industry that they should include to be legalized.
It is and I think it's a tactic to have them illegalize gambling then up the price of making a casino, so it's, even more, a win-win situation. I'm not sure if there are bitcoin land casinos now, but I know there's a topic that I read here that a famous casino in Vegas started accepting cryptocurrency.

What I don't want, in my opinion, is that they try to control that is something for the people. The purpose that it is decentralized.
What would you expect from the government? They can make any decisions into things if they saw that it can benefit them.If they accept and legalized gambling on a particular country then its a good
thing for those gamblers out there who do play illegally or on shady ways. Government always have that win-win situation. If they saw that gambling business is on demand then they would allow it
and impose tax at the same time, then we would know on what would happen next.
There is a lot of money to be made from the legalization of gambling and sports betting and it's not surprising that the governments decision to make it legal. Because people are going to gamble whether it's illegal or not so why not make legal and get money from taxation.
Well, India have already legalized gambling but their level of legalization is different to others countries which have legalized gambling in the past due to India taking tradition with high extreme. Therefore, physical gambling was accepted everywhere while online gambling was only accepted in Sikkim and Telangana and two person was arrested today for operating an online gambling.

It is good for the Indian government. They can collect huge taxes on crypto transactions. When they allow gambling people would gamble freely as they already gambling without regulation of the government, they would better help their economy by collecting money from all over the world. Other countries should also legalize gambling because it cannot be stopped.

Haha i can believe this news is true not a joke
As i know indian government not allowing gambling in their country it's because against the indian religious
And if i'm not wrong indian government warning to their people to carefull using cryptocurrency because they compare gambling investment because of high volatile movement
In the whole world the biggest number of gambler are Indians. Gambling is a big industry in India and I think this is the main reason that the government legalized gambling there. Bookies may pay tax on their income and is it also good for their government. Gambling should not be controlled anywhere in the world, so it’s better to legalize it and impose tax on it.
India had allowed gambling long time ago and the reason is that the government knew that people would gamble at any cost. So if they cannot be controlled by force then it is better to allow them to gamble legally and give tax to the government. In west gambling is not assume bad but in Asian countries especially in Islamic countries gambling is sticky prohibited.

There is no problem with legalizing gambling because it's just a form of entertainment and it could give a little boost to the economy especially
if more investors will operate, as long as it's properly regulated and the rules applied strict for the benefit of all, there would be no problem.
Right now, it's easy to bypass illegal rules on gambling because blockchain is here.
Legalizing may give avenue for anyone within the age range to end up being able to gamble and sure exposes the community at large to a lot of it. However, how each person end up seeing gambling or perceiving gambling is dependent on them.

I still believe that legalizing gambling is something that is not bad at all as it is better than seeing people try to do things hidden when they realize it is illegal and a lot of criminal activities can go on in that regards, but when it is legalized, the ability to control a lot of things will be there with regulations.
Do you know that gambling has destroyed millions of people and families? You say that it is only entertainment and fun, Lol. India legalized bitcoin not because of the entertainment but because the government have imposed taxes on gamblers. It is good for both the gambler and the government as well because now gamblers can gamble legally and government has increased its revenue.

Ya it is true that India is having a big gambling industry and in cricket IPL their is more then 10k Crore of value of trading is going on and that too illegally so think it it becomes legal then how much tax government can get through it.
if the gambling industry can be profitable for the Indian government, of course they will legalize it but does their government not see what long-term effect of gambling is for the economy of its people? even though there are still many poor people in the country? but we should respect the policies of Indian government

I guess this will makes Indian people can free to make bets in sports betting since this game attract a lot of people to place their money. And I think the government can also get more income by legalizing gambling and sports betting so they can increase their revenue in this section. But I wonder what will happen with the religion which I heard, they strictly prohibit their people from playing gambling but I don't know the truth. And soon, we will be going to see there are many sports betting site which will launch and the owner is people from India.
India is one of the big gambling countries. Most of the people put their money in sports betting because they are fond of sports and especially cricket. They assume gambling as their regular job and that’s the reason the Indian government has legalized gambling in India. It is good for both the gamblers and the government, because if the government ban gambling people would still gamble.

You got a point there, people in India is fond of gambling. We might not see it in our everyday routines but it is in there nature to gamble specially in sports. Maybe the government are planning to legalize gambling but I guess not all should be done.

India has a lot of changes to make to come into step with reality. The puritan-like banning of gambling was unhealthy. There has to be a concept of gambling for fun, without fear of losing your shirt. The concept of responsible gambling was needed. India will make a lot of money from this new attitude. I'm so glad about this.

That is the advantage of letting your citizens gamble. Yes, more gamblers might be addicted to gambling by legalizing gambling but the thing is that the government will be able to create great tax reforms on these casinos resulting on great improvements not only on the people but on the country as well. It is not bad legalizing gambling, in fact it is really great.
In my opinion Indians are in great number of gamblers throughout the world. Most of Indians bet in sports because they love sports games and sport betting. There are thousands of bookies in India and they make millions of dollars in one game. Gambling is become an industry in India and that’s the reason that Indian government allow gambling freely.
