What an amazing cricket performance by Chennai Super Kings. It was impressive how dominant they played right from the beginning of the match. The openers laid a solid platform for the middle order to succeed showcasing the teamwork and synergy in full force. Ajinkya Rahane's remarkable effort, which included an unbroken 71 runs off just 29 balls demonstrated his abilities as a top tier batter. S. Dube's quickfire 50 off 21 balls which contributed to the impressive total of 235 enhanced his performance. The bowlers kept their composure and applied pressure to KKR which ultimately resulted in their defeat. The team's overall effort was commendable and Rahane deservedly won Player of the Match. Even though he is approaching towards his retirement age but still he is an important part of the team.

Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube's performances were unbelievable in this match. Rahane's strike rate was 244.8 and Dube's strike rate was 238 runs. And because of the performance of these two batsmen, the Chennai team was able to set a huge target of 236 runs. Every batsman of Chennai batted well in this match.
If Chennai wants to stay at the top of the table, they will definitely need to maintain the consistency of their performance. Especially the performance of the batsmen should be stable. Because the result of most of the IPL matches depends on the performance of the batsmen.

Kolkata proved themselves unsuccessful in yet another match. In the last match against CSK, Kolkata lost by a huge margin of 49 runs.
By winning this match, CSK moved to the top position of the points table. However, no benefit is coming even by changing the players of Kolkata. Apart from Jason Roy, no foreign star from Kolkata is performing well.

David Wiese was replaced by Liton Das to win the last match but he completely failed to prove himself in this match. He failed at two places in batting and bowling.

But my question is can a player prove himself by giving only one match chance? Liton Das was given just one match in which he failed to prove himself but Kolkata did not give him a second chance. Do you think KKR should not have given Liton another chance in KKR?

Chennai has always been strong team in all ipl seasons that have been played. This is all due to Dhoni's captainship. Current ipl is his last, Chennai's team won't be same next year despite having rest of players same.

Like the previous seasons, Chennai managed to field a very strong team this season as well. And the important thing is that the players of the team are in very good form. Both batsmen and bowlers are playing very well. Also, they got an experienced captain like Dhoni. He can take the right decisions at critical moments. Chennai played brilliantly against Kolkata. It is expected that the Chennai team will be able to stay in the top 4 of the points table.

Nowadays Mahendra Singh Dhoni is mostly playing in the role of specialist wicket-keeper. But he has made crucial contributions when it mattered. Remember the 32 from 17 balls for Chennai Super Kings during the match against Rajasthan Royals? Despite his age, he is still capable of lighting up the fireworks towards the end overs. The reason why he bats so down the order is because CSK do have a very strong middle order. Shivam Dube, Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja are capable of scoring 10-12 runs per over during the final powerplay. Dhoni hardly gets a chance to bat because of them.

Chennai's batsmen batted brilliantly. And has been able to collect the maximum runs of this year's IPL. Every batsman in the top order played very well. Ajinkia Rahane and Shivman Dube's performances in particular impressed everyone. And after setting a big target of 236 runs, there was very little chance that they would be defeated.

Kolkata has lost all their last four matches. Out of 7 matches they have won only 2 matches. The main reason for their poor performance is their weak bowling line-up. They lost most of the matches because of bad bowling. In several matches, the opposition gave away more than 200 targets. If the performance of the bowlers does not improve, Kolkata will remain at the bottom of the points table.

I think it was pure luck today that RCB won the match. I feel it was only Hetmyr's 9 balls today which went absolute waste, RR could have won the match in these 9 balls.

Playing first, Punjab Kings scored 214 runs which was always going to be enough if they bowled well and they deservingly win this match.
Not to forget the innings of Sam Curran he made a quick 55 runs in only 29 balls.

Punjab Kings team played well and Mumbai Indians were quite strong to chase the target. For Punjab Kings team the score that came from 16^th over bowled by Arjun Tendulkar is very important. 31 runs came in that over and he levels the most expensive over bowled in IPL 2023 along with Yash Dayal. The bowler of Gujarat Titans wasn't given any more opportunity after thr last over bowled against KKR.

In the match Punjab Kings were well taken forward by Sam Curran amidst the rest of Shikhar Dhawan who is much dependent by the team.
