I think it's the most interesting Playoffs chase in the history of IPL even after 12 matches of each team, there still isn't a single team which is 100% into the play offs and until the 12th Match of alot of them there wasn't a team which was completely out as well. Tomorrow RR vs RCB will mostly disqualify another team from the picture and then CSK vs KKR, CSK if wins might be the first team to enter playoffs and KKR is already out anyways. I think on Monday will get clarity regarding couple of spots atleast. As of now it looks GT and CSK confirm and other 2 doubtful are MI & probably LSG seeing form of both these teams.

Gujarat Titans confirmed the knockout round. Chennai Super Kings need to win one of their next two matches to ensure a place in the knockout round. They will play against Kolkata and Delhi in the next two matches. Relatively weak opponent. For Chennai too, securing the knockout round is a bit easier. On the other hand, LSG, Mumbai, Rajasthan, Punjab and Bengaluru each have a chance to secure the knockout round. However, they must win the next match. If a team loses points in the upcoming matches, they will not be able to finish in the top four of the table. But I think Gujarat, Chennai, Mumbai and Bengaluru will be able to secure the knockout round.

Lets see whats going to be the result of the match. No season of IPL have got such close points between positions. Last season it was Mumbai Indians and CSK who were at the bottom. Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers were the playoff qualifiers. Team winning 8 matches have qualified for the playoff. If I'm not wrong runrate will decide the playoff qualifiers.

Outcome of this match is not much important, as both of teams are already out of the tournament. DC performance throughout the tournament was not upto standards of IPL. PBKS were able to score 167 runs just because of Prabhsimran Singh
103 runs innings. DC have started run chase and in 2 overs they have scored 16 runs without losing any opener. Warner need to play his part today for DC to win today.

Although this match is not important, both teams are playing to win. I thought Delhi would win after the Punjab team was given a target of just 168 runs. But Delhi's batsmen's performance is poor today as usual.

Punjab were all out for 167 with Prabhsimran Singh playing a brilliant innings of 103 off 65 balls. Apart from this, no other batsmen of the team performed well. The performance of the Delhi bowlers did not seem to be very good. Their performance was average.

The Delhi team managed to collect 136 runs. Delhi batsmen could not stay at the crease for long due to Harpreet Brar's brilliant bowling. Harpreet picked up two important wickets of the two openers Warner and Salt. Also, Rahul Chahar's performance was excellent. He picked up two wickets with just 16 runs in 4 overs.

My guess was wrong. In the end, LSG easily won the match. Although the Hyderabad bowlers performed well in the first 10-12 overs, their performance in the subsequent overs was not good. I found every bowler of Hyderabad helpless, especially against Nicholas Pooran. Nicholas Pooran played an unbeaten innings of 44 runs off just 13 balls. Also, Prerak Mankad and Marcus Stoinis had two very effective innings. Mankad was unbeaten on 64 and Stoinis collected 40 runs. With the win in this match, Lucknow is now fourth in the points table.

In the end Pooran played some aggressive shots that brought him and the team 44 runs out of 13 balls with the strike rate above 300. With the loss Sunrisers Hyderabad gets added along with Delhi Capitals that have lost the chance of moving to the playoff. Mayank and Abhishek Sharma turned expensive at the depth overs. 16^th over was the turning point from which the Lucknow Super Giants got the strong winning momentum. In the 16^th over 31 runs came with 5 sixes, one wide and the wicket of Stoinis.

I don't think the pitch helped the batsmen much. 182 runs are enough to win if the bowlers are able to perform in a controlled manner.
