Rajasthan Royals' short run target was met by Gujarat Titans in no time. Especially Gujarat Titans are at the top of the points table with 14 points, and Gujarat Titans is one of the best team this season. Gujarati Titans could have won by a wicket if not for Shubman Gill's stamping out. Stepping forward to touch the ball, Stamping was out and missed out on a half century. Because he had enough chances, and Hardik Pandey did very well after the wicket fell. I really liked his performance as he hit four sixes with the bat and ball to lead the team to victory and scored 39 runs off 15 balls.

Rajasthan could not bat well today. Gujarat Titans batted brilliantly to win by 9 wickets. Gujarat won very easily finishing the game in just 13.5 overs. Wriddhiman Saha scored an unbeaten 41 off 34 balls. Shubman Gill was dismissed for 35 off 36 balls. Hardik Pandya batted brilliantly with 39 runs off 15 balls. Congratulations Gujarat Team.

I didn't think KKR could defend Sunrisers Hyderabad with just 171 runs while other teams scored over 200 runs in the same condition. The Credit goes to Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana as they bowled very tight and economically. Varun's four overs were the key point for KKR. He conceded only 20 runs in four overs while Sunrisers Hyderabad needed 8.6 Runs per over. Harshit Rana's spell helped as well as his economy was 6.80. KKR used seven bowlers and every one got wickets except for Sunil Narine. Unfortunately, Both Kolkata and Hyderabad won't be able to qualify.

I was expecting a bit more action and higher scores, but here's the fact. Rajasthan Royals all out with a score of just 118. Gujarat Titans really showed their strength with bowling and managed to dominate over RR batters. GT only needs 119 runs to secure the win and potentially qualify for the playoffs. It looks like a pretty achievable target for them. However, maybe RR will surprise us all by defending their low total!

Even Abdul Samad put up a valiant effort towards the finish, but finally came up short.

The fact that SRH still has some good players on their team who can step up when necessary gives them hope even though their chances of entering the playoffs may be slim. They can yet have a successful season's end if their batsmen take on a little more responsibility and put in some solid performances. In order to improve in the remaining matches it is critical for the squad to concentrate on its strengths and keep working on its deficiencies.

Although Kolkata Knight Riders scored a small basket of runs, Sunrise Hyderabad could not make up for it as they had a high number of wickets falling. Some of Kolkata's players showed very good performances which put Sunrise Hyderabad under a lot of pressure. Sunrise Hyderabad's power play resulted in the fall of four wickets due to which their run house could not soar. Kolkata have just added two points to take the total with eight points followed by Hyderabad and Delhi at the bottom of the points table. Especially Kolkata's performance was very good yesterday as they scored a lot of runs with the bat. I think Kolkata Knight Riders win is more of a role to say.

I don't understand these two franchises - Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Their selection policies are more driven by politics rather than merit. What is the point in having a player like Riyan Parag in Rajasthan Royals? He was given a contract worth ₹28,000,000 this time, despite performing in any of the IPL seasons. Same with SRH. What is the point in having someone like Abdul Samad? IMO, Marco Jansen is a better batsmen than Samad. And it doesn't make any sense to keep talented players such as Glenn Phillips and Vivrant Sharma in the bench. Vivrant was purchased for ₹26,000,000 and he is yet to play his first match in the Indian Premier League.

I don't know whether it was due to incompetence from the Sunrisers Hyderabad, or exceptionally good performance from the Kolkata Knight Riders that the latter won yesterday's match. How difficult it is to score 9 runs from 6 balls? And that too being bowled by a spinner (Varun Chakravarthy). The incompetent Abdul Samad really struggled against Chakravarthy's spin, and in the end Bhuvneshwar Kumar could only watch as a silent spectator from the other side. It was one of those matches where SRH snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

KKR batting first gave a target of 172 to SRH and in the end the target proved to be adequate for KKR as they got much needed win. Nitish Rana and Rinku made major contributions to the total by scoring 42 and 46 runs. Both were unlucky to miss there fifties. SRH in reply were going good but they lost the path in final overs of the game and gave away the match to KKR.

He shouldn't have got pressured, because the required run isn't that big. SRH needs another 34 runs in the next 24 balls. One over is enough to take the match into their side. Unwanted wicket have costed them loss the match. Really great bowling, spin bowling at the depth overs in T20 isn't easy thing with pressure on both the sides.

171 runs was not a big target. I think 190+ can easily be scored on such a pitch. Kolkata had some better batting opportunities. But due to the great performance of the bowlers they managed to win this match. In the last over, Sunrisers Hyderabad needed 9 runs to win. But in the last over, Hyderabad collected only 3 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. Varun and Harsit's bowling was well organized in this match. Excellent bowling by these two bowlers helped Kolkata to win.
