Top Lowest scores in IPL but failed to chase
There are always new variations being created in cricket and new world records being set. Yesterday's match saw a similar record in the 43rd match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and LSG, batting first, RCB set a target of 127 runs but LSG failed to meet this easy target and lost by 18 runs. There were many more such matches in the IPL, which could not be achieved by targeting very low runs.
IPL 2009, CSK(116/9)Vs KXIP(92/8), KXIP lost By 24 runs
IPL 2018, MI(118/10) Vs SRH(87/10), SRH lost By 31 runs
IPL 2009, KXIP(119) Vs MI(116/7) , MI lost By 3 runs
IPL 2013, SRH(119) Vs PWI(108) , PWI lost By 11 runs
IPL 2012 , MI(120/10) Vs PWI(118/10), PWI Lost by 1 run
There are hundreds of matches in cricket that have been lost by targeting such low runs. So it is not unusual to have such a record in cricket.
Another low scoring match in IPL happened between RR Vs GT. Earlier several matches were low scoring but today's match is low scoring like all other matches but Gujarat Titans will probably win today's match easily. Apart from Rajasthan Royals home/domestic player Sanju Shamson (30) the rest of the players did not contribute much but some players scored 2,4,7,8,9 which resulted in Rajasthan Royals scoring a record 118/all-out. .
