This is a neat hobby. I'm just trying not to go overboard.  May be too late though as I have a red, Brooklyn,  and no number.

The red (/5) and Brooklyn (/25) cards aren't very collectible. Most serious #83 Cryptocurrency collectors will go out of their ways to avoid those two cards. However, since I'm such a nice and generous guy, I'm willing to take those off your hands at cost.

Regards,
Chris

Very good, I have a brooklyn and was wondering who I could pawn this off on.  I know I overpaid at 10,000.00 but, glad you are willing to cover the cost.  Smiley

Did you all see that there are 'treasure relics' in the hobby boxes?  Really cool.

Here's the only one I found on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Topps-2018-Allen-Ginter-Sunken-Treasure-Admiral-Gardner-Framed-Mini-12-15/163234020087?epid=704055654&hash=item2601817af7:g:GQwAAOSwsNBbivqp

Truly amazing.  Also there was an 1800s cigarette card too

I personally enjoy the hunt as much as the find.  I have only seen a few items flipped but, for the most part the highly sought after rare ones have been extremely difficult to find for #83, #222, and #259.  This makes the hunt even more fun and when you find one you know you have something special.  Enjoy the hunt and most of all have some fun, price will take care of itself Smiley Smiley

I didn't realize the 222 and 259 were valuable.  I bet I have several of those laying around  Smiley

Can someone explain why 222 or 259 is related to 83?  I get they are also non-baseball cards within the 1-300 series, but the topics are very much unrelated.

I think one of the members here just finds these appealing.   I bought a few cards for a local basketball player - a glow in the dark and framed autograph.  This is a neat hobby. I'm just trying not to go overboard.  May be too late though as I have a red, Brooklyn,  and no number.  Hard not to shoot for full house .

While technically it’s 1/1, I see it more as 1/4. I’ll be surprised if it goes for much more over $500-600. It’s not visually appealing to me, so I won’t be bidding. Good luck to those who do!

Regards,
Chris

I'm out as well. Good luck

information,
Hi Chris

A case of ginter X was cracked open and based on the total of 200 cases and the amount found in 1 case, the total came to around 500 of the regular size cards.  Hope this helps, and actually the count for the mini's was revised down to 50 total.

Just to be clear... The above estimate of 500 black cards is based on the contents of a single case, correct?

Wouldn’t that mean the single case contained 2.5 black cards? (In other words, 2.5 cards per case x 200 cases = 500 cards.) How does one find .5 cards in a case? I’d think that the case owner found either 2 or 3 black cards making the estimated total quantity either 400 or 600. What am I missing?

Regards,
Chris

You would be correct, there is no half a card but, it was based on a case and some boxes and a little less than 200 cases.  I will try to be more precise when I put some numbers up, but, you would be 100% correct mathmatically.

What is the estimated number of the base card?  Is it thousands, like 10,000?
