Anyone know if it's possible to send bitcoins via facebook? it would be the ultimate solution. Everyone has a facebook profile today, so it would really make bitcoin have a major breakthrough.

Price of bitcoins just keep climbing!! Waiting for a pullback before I buy more BTC
Facebook will add a new feature to their site which is Facebook marketplace, this feature will make you able to buy/sell various products without leaving facebook, thus they might add Bitcoin as payment method in the future, but I don't know a lot of information about this marketplace, the coming days will tell.
well i guess that the marketplace you're reffering to is a group created for selling in locals,if that so,then it'd be a great idea beside of only getting used to pay FB Ads which is quite effective for marketing, however there must be lack of knowledge about bitcoin becoming the main problem

The question is, do you want Facebook to know your bitcoin address and see all your transactions?
In my opinion, I would not let that happen. One of the reasons why I used bitcoin is because of anonymity.

Send bitcoin via Facebook I think it doesn't make sense, Facebook just social media. Might make more sense if Facebook accept payment via bitcoin to create an ad on its website.

That would be great, suppose the only way to do it right now is via a btc address, would be something pretty cool if it was done via a bot as I've seen elsewhere.

Anyone know if it's possible to send bitcoins via facebook?

no, and i don't think it can ever be possible because it requires a bot and they don't allow that.
check out reddit.com and see how different crypto currency bots work there and see how easy it is to use them on platforms like reddit

well, that's not true.

so it would really make bitcoin have a major breakthrough.

it will help but not a lot. what can help bitcoin move forward is more adoption and that will only happen when people start spending bitcoin instead of hoarding it.

don't wait too long or you'll regret it Wink

What are the options for Bitcoin to make such a deal? I meen, does anyone own the bitcoin system, and thereby would make them able to accept such a deal?
Check out the beginners section of this forum as you clearly need some help on understanding Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency which means that no one owns it.

Bitcoin is not a company to make "deal" with other companies , Bitcoin is decentralized and no one controls it. Biggest payment gateway (a third party) that Steam and other big companies uses now days is Bitpay so If Facebook decide to integrate that , they will use them for sure.

It has been done before... but FB blocked it.

However FB is now allowing bots... so it might be possible, even easy, to do it again.
