I dont want to make large profit in a short amount of time... i actually want to hold the coins i mined, till they rise and want to know if it is worth and even possible to do that.
Greets Donnie

things like this can't be in 100% correct prediction. many groups in telegram or other social media who have analysis to hold the coin which one to keep and which coin will increase the price.

for example the case of ETH coin price, no one can predict 100% correct that ETH coin price will be like now. April 2017 price 1 ETH $45.

conclusion, only you alone can decide.

You cannot mine using the devices that you have. Sure you can miner with your Macbook Pro Iris but it would only generate you a small profit and you might risk your laptop for overheating from mining. If you want to mine you must have a dedicated miner / mining Rig with using either multiple set of GPUs for altcoins or ASIC miners for bitcoin.

Hey my Name is Donnie im from germany.

i've just bought around 6x 1060 6b from MSI and all hardware needed to build a rig. (the current powercost is like 0,37$ /kwh ) .

i havent opened the hardware yet, because im quiet unsure about mining, would you be able to answer me a few questions and provide a little bit of help?

I dont want to make large profit in a short amount of time... i actually want to hold the coins i mined, till they rise and want to know if it is worth and even possible to do that.

i would obviously reward you!!!

Big thanks in Advance.

Mines must have a strong back Myanmar in the fields of mathematics and science, a new capability is good and strong problem solving ability. Creativity and the ability to communicate effectively is also required.

If you are interested in to see the process of mining then you can spend time on such devices. The profits from this you will not. Only a loss. My advice to you. Don't waste your time and money. Buy mining hardware on the GPU. You can start with one GPU. If you see that it's a method of income suits you, you will gradually increase the number of the GPU.

Hello!

I'm very interested in becoming a miner - new to all this. Looking forward to learning more!
My devices include:

iPhone 6
OS 11.2.2
Safari

Macbook Pro iris (2015)
2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Safari/Chrome/Firefox

Thanks!
Rie

Generally not a good idea to mine with notebooks, but if that is what you want to do, then you can use this article for guidance.

first of all study on mining. you can go through articles which can give you basic knowledge. then you will start to understand it and also understand it which devices are suitable for mining.
I phone is not for mining.mining can not be done with iphone.apple made it for other reasons not for mining.
and laptop or macbook are not for mining. mining needs time, sometimes your macbook needs to be run for 24 hours.and it causes heat that is not good for your device.

With those devices you could try enrolling for this project https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/hadron-decentralizedai-ecosystem-2142232. I think it's one of the fewest if not the only one that can work on your equipment.

Thanks for the replies!
I'm obviously not very clued in at this stage - useful information/advice is very welcome.
I was given a 'to do' list of steps to complete - and one of them included listing devices incl my phone etc. here.
Certainly don't like the sound of my computer burning up.
member suggest you don't mining using your device. But if you still want to mining (Mac).alright, you can try CPU mining based. such of ETN coin.

You need to read the forum, actually read some of the posts and intro to mining articles.  You can quickly see if you do any reading that what you have will not work and has not been viable for a long time.  Mining requires time and the willingness to learn how to do it and troubleshoot.  You lose credibility quickly and people will be less apt to help you if it appears you put absolutely no effort into learning about it before you came here to ask questions.  Spend a few hours reading posts and looking up your questions online.  Do that a few hours a day for a few weeks.  You should then understand what you are getting into and be able to ask relevant questions.
