This is really the next huge move that I'm waiting for our crypto community. There are many ads that are scams like internet providers so I wish that Google of Facebook would change their mind and just make stricter  implementations for anyone who wants to advertise their ICOs.

That is a good news about pur community. They can not band it. We also dont know if those founders company also investor in crypto. And cryptocurrencies is the future of technology its democratize currencies. Those company become very big because of people power nd why now they support bankers not us as people who make them big.

I agree though, these ads I see on youtube are the worse. Recently I saw an advertisement of bunny token where they promise price growth and steady % increase etc etc. ridiculous. Those ICOs that advertise themselves on platforms like youtube and facebook are only out to fill their own pockets on the expense of people who think they are genuinely investing in a business.
this is what the administrations must face, this scumbugs whose victimizing people all over the place..they have no respect in which site the scamming will be but what's important to them is their pocket..this results to banning of the ads either legitimate or scams in many sites most specially thos who mentioned above..this must bet stopped to sage more investors and prospective investor from being victimized

We must be optimistic and full support the decision taken by the crypto association to sue them. If the sue is accepted and successful, then the future of crypto will be bright and growth will be fast.
But what if the sue fails?

I had thought that social media based blockchain could be an alternative choice for us to replace facebook and twitter in the future, it sounds not easy, how do you think?

I'm not concerned about crypto ads getting banned on these platforms because most are scam tokens or phishing sites anyways, however, I do think that the news that they have banned ads on these major platforms have definitely influenced prices going down. Quote from site:

Quote
We believe that this is a use of the monopoly position of these four companies, which have entered into a cartel agreement with each other in order to manipulate the market. The ban from these four organizations has led to a significant drop in the market in recent months.

I think that there is a high chance that this is the case. Otherwise why would they act all at approximately the same time? It's highly suspicious for sure. Glad someone is bringing their doubts out even if they may not be necessarily confirmed yet.

But honestly, the lawsuit isn't really going to go anywhere. They are private companies, plus they can easily claim that they did this to avoid people getting scammed, even though it's obviously some sort of undeserved censorship.

I could easily understand why they have a case. They paid for those ads in the first place. Would you be happy to pay for something then suddenly be told "oops sorry you can't have what you paid for anymore." Facebook or twitter should not have allowed them to advertise in the first place without reviewing content of the ads.

Cryptocurrency associations in China, Russia, and South Korea are all set to file a joint lawsuit this upcoming spring in the wake of the implementation of a wide-scale ban on cryptocurrency advertisements.

The lawsuit is to be filed against Facebook, Google, Yandex (popular Russian search engine much like Google), and the most recent in the fight to ban crypto advertising: Twitter.

While I am sure that definitely some sort of regulations were needed due to the increasing scammy ICO's , throwing a blanket ban is not fair and I hope they change it .

This shows that crypto technology has been proven to produce something more especially in financial terms. Unfortunately, crypto popularity has been abused by third parties to commit fraudulent acts. Of course, it's to the attention of certain parties like the FBI in particular. FBI ultimately pressing Google to make bans against ads related to cryptocurrency. And of course, this could have a bad impact on cryptocurrency ads that run with true and honest.

indeed i could not agree more,
cryptocurrency has a potential to grow promisingly without those FUD if we can handle those shitty project or ICOs or whatever they called themself.
for example those Bunny token,
they were advertising their project and talking about daily gain from their investment by 1% if we are buying their token.
if other people see that(people who know nothing about cryptocurrency),what will they think about cryptocurrency ? it's fraud thing,it's ponzi scheme and many more.
that is why we could see a lot of FUD happened with cryptocurrency.

the problem with those who run it honestly will be solved by time.
slowly after they find a way to block this kind of project, they will start to re-enable it again just like china does.
they want to unban cryptocurrency by finding a way to block a fraudulant project.

It's quite funny that an unregulated system will sue registered corporations over ads that have no particular juristic purview at the moment. Will love to see how things turn out. This might create an opportunity for standardization or blockchain enterprise

This sound more like a joke, International Crypto Association, who are the members and who are those to finance the suit. I think you have lost the case before it get to court, these companies are not small companies they have huge billions to spend and not one stupid association will challenge their decision making

I think there is no need for that, if there is such an association they should promote and enhance awareness about cryptos to public everywhere, hold seminars, events, conferences and even roadshows to tell people the benefits and use cases of cryptos, time to do something creative.

It's the battle of the giant but we all know Facebook, Google, and other big networks are multi-billion dollar industry they can spend millions just to defend their policy, I don't know but this things could take years, best step is to create a platform similar to facebook that is crypto related.
This is the perfect opportunity for some enterprising individuals to swoop in and offer the disgruntled and disillusioned that perfect alternative

Real ICOs don't need aggressive advertisements on Social Networks like Facebook or Youtube. When you have hype about a project and the community like it, the rest will come naturally.
ICOs potential depends on white paper, road map and development team at the same they need some promotion so all the new projects are telecaste the social medias and this forum. Because all the peoples are busy to runs in the world so no one should care the new projects. Automatically all the companies are promote the different set of ways.

Suing is a step in the right direction to fight the outdated establishment with its own weapons, trapping them at their own game.

However, more unorthodox and innovative measures might also be necessary as the fight against the Crypto Revolution intensifies...

I don't see the point in suing.  It would make much more sense to develop alternatives to these platforms like Investfeed.  I barely use Facebook anymore and only use Twitter for shitposting in Twitter.
