I mined bitcoins back in 2010-2011. After I mined casually for about a year I amassed about 10 bitcoins, which at the time was about $20. I woke up the other day and discovered I have ~$500 worth of bitcoins. You can imagine my surprise. So with that said I've decided to get back into the bitcoin world.

Hey everyone,

I'm not economist, but I know a good idea when I see it. I love bitcoin and I can't wait until the volatility on the market levels off and people start using them for more transactions. In the meantime, I'm holding some for longterm speculation and doing a bit of day trading.

I must admit, I am slightly less prone to hand out free loot to someone that does not know how to spell "opportunity"....twice.

I'm a miner with a blunt pick-axe. Maybe I should sharpen it.

Very interested in the possibilities of BTC. And how it may change the world.

Hey guys, I've been mining now for about 2 months when i read about the article in forbes.  Electrical Engineer by degree, and Software engineer/entrepreneur by trade.  I've made a couple associates that work for ISPs and the likes and have studied monetary theory so bitcoin is an awesome experiment to see what and how a currency really forms and operates from the ground up.  Really digging it.  I'm also looking at FPGA SHA256 designs when i'm bored.  I've read alot of fpgaminer's posts and really like what he has to say.

Hello,

I've mostly been buying BTC for cash, considering the almost certain deflationary spiral it's bound to end up in (bad news for economy, but good for BTC owners) Smiley . I also do some mining with 2*5770 GPU's, but the results of that are pretty lame. I do however have an active order for an ASIC SC which should make my bitcoin business model more robust, if the thing ever arrives.

I'm also in the process of making a BTC gambling site, roulette and blackjack for starters. The domain is www.btc-gambling.com, but the site isn't up yet so there's not much to be seen as of yet Smiley It should be up in the next couple of weeks though, so if anybody here likes to gamble, you're free to try it out Smiley

Hello, my name is EpicFail. I have been mining Bitcoins for 2 months at approximately 1 Ghash/s. I had another forum login but I stopped using that one because in my prior posts I might have given up too much information about where I might be working. For various reasons, I think that it is not prudent for my employer to know that I am involved in Bitcoins. So here I am re-incarnated as a noob - going to be a little bit more careful about what I might say.

Hello! Was recently re-introduced to bitcoin as a useful tool for an artist ecovillage i'm creating - Torus Artist Ecovillage - and i'm pleasantly surprised with its progress.  Cheesy

nice... I've also long thought that largely self-sustaining eco villages + bitcoins for long distance transactions would be a great combination for a more independent life.

don't be shy to introduce your project in a new dedicated thread.
