Hi all.  I have been a Bitcoin user since early 2011.  I have also been lurking on this forum for about a year but have decided that it's time to finally get my hands dirty and post something!  Wink

how do I get a holographic bitcoin, is anyone talking about a silver bitcoin, and how do I get stickers for shops around Melbourne??? Are there any projects to promote bitcoin? I agree with Frank about OTC, and think it'd be great to get some physical currency into the world.

helloes and welcome.  Grin

holographic, physical bitcoins? casascius makes those: https://www.casascius.com/

but they're just a gimmick. Anyone can make such, and you have to trust the issuer that they didn't keep a copy of the private key. The point of Bitcoin is that you don't have to trust anybody. That's how and why Bitcoin works. Therefore, there won't be serious physical coins. For meatspace, use mobile clients instead, or the upcoming bitcoincard.

Are there any projects to promote bitcoin?

Hi... I'm MAD... invested in BTC a few months ago after researching it for a while. Love the thought of a non centralized banking system and the whole idea of open source. Would really like to connect with Melbourne bitcoiners, looks like the only way to do that is on facebook. Not my thing... are there any in this forum?

After watching Frank Braun on the KeiserReport I've got a few questions - how do I get a holographic bitcoin, is anyone talking about a silver bitcoin, and how do I get stickers for shops around Melbourne??? Are there any projects to promote bitcoin? I agree with Frank about OTC, and think it'd be great to get some physical currency into the world.

Cheers!

Been mining with four GPU's for a little over a year now, just saw a question about Dwolla and Mt. Gox and the new requirement for "verification".

Since I can't post out there in the real world.  Here is my answer:

Mt. Gox required me to send an image of my passport and an electric bill confirming my address.  After providing said documentation it took 2-3 days for them to verify things, before I was able to withdraw US Dollars to my Dwolla account.

Since I did that though things have been working fine.

Hi all,

Filling my post count... I'm writing from Spain, 31 year old techie with a with a taste for BTC investments.
I've been also involved in P2P lending here in Spain and am thinking of issuing a security on GLBSE to increase invested capital.
Returns are around 12% a year before tax and bankrupted loans, veteran investors report steady 7% gains per year.
It's not a scam pyramid scheme, will not compete with the ridiculous pirate bonds and similar securities and not even the best mining securities (with questionable profitability?) but will pay regular dividends and is a low/medium risk proven business model (see Prosper, Lending Club or Zopa (UK).

Best regards,

Miguel
