I'm Ailure, I been watching bitcoin in the last two years but decided to recently start mining (casually) as I found out that my GPU was actually fairly decent at it! Well at least until ASIC mining takes off apparently, but I'm doing it for fun anyway. Wink

I been lurking for awhile, and decided it would be very useful to have a account for posting. So here I am. Smiley

don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off.

Hi,

One of my regular clients heard about bitcoin and asked me to look into it for him.  So far, I'd say it defies easy description.  I guess I've got my work cut out for me.

 Smiley

Hope your client pays well because you have a lot to dig into  Smiley and welcome to the forum

Thanks!  I was going to do it as a favor because he's paid very well in the past, but I'm coming to the conclusion that he will get an "executive summary" for free, and a bill if he wants any further detail.

 Cheesy

Is your client Lockheed Martin ?

Hi I'm boredeo and I'd be reporting a bfgminer 2.8.0 crash in that thread if I wasn't a newbie.  BFGMiner 2.8.0 works fine when my rig's running windows, but segfaults under linux, Gentoo specifically:

Glad to be here and take part in the community. I am the owner of the business All Things Luxury.biz, we are a online discount retailer of jewelry and luxury goods. We are actively trying to get businesses to accept bitcoin in our community. We plan on doing this through proven success of our venture with bitcoin. Money talks in business.

Thanks for the board and glad to be a part of it!
