Greetings everyone,

It is my great pleasure to meet all of you. Smiley

I have come into the possession of some amazing mining equipment that arrived here faster than I can even put it together. It it beautiful...

However, this being my second day on bitcoin forum, I must say, it's a lot to take in.  I admit I am pretty much a noob when it comes to bitcoin.  If any other established miners would care to personally mentor me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Other than that, I'm a firm believer in the new free economy that is bitcoin, and the potential it has to make the world a better place.  I would ask anyone who also has plans or ideas regarding the creation of this new free society to contact me with their thought, I so enjoy hearing them.

Hello. New to Bit Coins etc. actually just set up this account to be able to reply in regards to the so-called Global Standard bank, as I am in Montreal. So I came across them while on Kijiji, called them up and discussed tradin 13BTC that I had. I got all kinds of reassurance of course, and stupid me, with out googling etc. went ahead with the trade. they mentioned that the transaction has to be at about 50 confirmations before they will meet for payment. and mine is currently at 12. so I will follow up with a positive or negative on the transaction by tomorrow. I too looked at the address and find it very sketchy. I know the location, and cant see whhy they gave me the general address without a suite number, further, I dont see how they can afford an office at this location unless they are funded by the mob...which is very possible here in montreal. anyhow. i will leave it at that for now, and follow up once i can confirm ive been ripped off...err i mean once ive confirmed payment.. Wink...I guess if it takes me being a sucker to put this scam to rest, so be it, its less than 200 bucks, not the end of the world

I'm one of the post-bubble Bitcoin Boomers. Started around the end of June. Now producing about 2200Mh/s. I hope to sell enough BTC to pay off my hardware within the next 6 weeks or so, then keep the rest for investment and/or actually buying things with BTC!

Hi. Came across a bitcoin link via twitter. An interesting idea. Looks like a great open source concept.

I have a XFX 6870 black edition.
It is pretty neat, I overclock it to 1000Mhz, and get 307Ghps
I have accumulated about 2Bitcoins since I started.
Seems like a neat idea.

Hey guys, fellow noob here. I'm working on writing some tools for trading but I see that I have to climb my way up the ladder before I can talk about it on the other forums Smiley

Longtime lurker, first time poster... uh... obviously.

I've been mining for the last month or so, slowly building my rigs up.

Currently running 7 miners with 28 cards (mostly 5830's, a few 5850's thrown in) that come in around 8200~ mH/s.  Already looking to expand.  Smiley

I believe there is a huge future in Bitcoin.  My former life was spent as a commodity options trader and I'm hoping to branch out from mining to also develop some good services for the BTC economy.

Cheers!

I get my new "Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB" hopefully this Friday.

I have some existing equipment but I needed to buy a new motherboard for the 5870.  I am going to run Linux (Ubuntu) for the new miner.

I was going to use a low profile card in a different system but I could not find one which produced the throughput the 5870 does.

If this new miner works out good I may spec out a second dedicated server.

A random acquaintance of BitCoin a few days ago, I've already converted what was my hawt little gaming rig into a pretty dedicated miner. Turns out luck was on my side when I picked two 6950's and unlocked them to 6970's. If only I had started hashing with them much, much sooner.

Greetings!  I've been lurking for a bit and have mined a couple bitcoins using the following:

My hubby and I have quad core 860's with 5870's getting 346 Mhash/s
Our kids dual core with a 5570 is 67Mhash/s
Our myth tv pvr front-end with a 4650 gets 21.6Mhash/s
Lastly my dual core laptop with a GeForce M230 gets 8 Mhash/s (I don't bother mining with this one)

Hi

I have heard about BTC about a month ago.
I have been reading everything about it since then.
I decided to make an account here, maybe I will need "active" information.

Hi, heard about bitcoin through the news of Pascazi's scheme to rip off the trademark.

Well, I'm from Malaysia, and have lurked in here for a while. Great to see how helpful the community is and looking forward to decentralising currency(Hope bitcoin gets widely adopted).
