Just a post to get my post count up.
Been lurking on here since about 2010 reading a lot of useful stuff on bitcoin.
Strangely I thought I already had an account and was very disappointed when password recovery said I didn't and I missed the free XRP offer Sad
Sigh...

Hi all,

I'm a new user that was pulled into this Bitcoin madness in March. Right now, I have four rigs running 24-7 mining litecoin, and have also done a bit of Bitcoin and Terracoin mining.

I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about cryptocurrencies at the moment, and trying to mine as much as I can before the difficulty explodes.

Hiyas,

Funnily enough I'd never heard about Bitcoin before Hexide Shop (selling TF2 items) switched to Bitcoins and gave every newcomer 0.01 BTC. Turns out it was not nothing, what with prices soaring over 200 USD soon.

Anyhow, I started looking into this whole matter and caught interest. Right now, I'm mining on and off on Bitminter as well as leeching off various faucets - on my way to my first full BTC!... Speaking of Bitminter, weirdly enough their miner is the only one that runs flawlessly on my PC, all the others (poclbm, cgminer, phoenix) just refuse to work. Though recently I did manage to get cgminer-scrypt to run for a couple hours, but that was most likely a fluke. Either way mining LTCs seems too tedious for what it's worth, for now at least.

Anyhow, that's it. Here's some referrals for you to help me become a trillionaire.

Hi I'm Luke4652,

I've been following bitcoin on and off for 18 months and have spent a total of a few days reading/thinking about it.

I'm a London based technical co-founder of a niche financial software company. More recently I've been working on some scalable/highly available data distribution software infrastructure in an investment bank (going through roles as developer/lead/group software architect). The global finance industry is in need of some disruption.

I'm interested in the business opportunities surrounding properly solid and legitimate exchanges or similar. I have, like others, been surprised by the awkwardness of buying bitcoin for GBP.

cheers

Hi

I am from Australia.

Have been interested in Bitcoin since July 2011 and have been experimenting with it since then.

Not sure where it will go...

I suppose that the real question is: are the fundamentals right?

I can certainly see digital currency becoming the norm, but is Bitcoin it?

Time will tell; to eke out a well worn phrase...

Fiat Lux!

Hi all,
First let me say what a great forum.  Lot's of quality discussion going on in here that's for sure.  As a developer I've been interested in Bitcoin tech for awhile but only recently became reengaged with all this recent fanfare.  What's happening with the price right now is interesting but I'm mostly curious about the future direction of Bitcoin and new applications built on the blockchain.

Delighted to make your acquaintance!
