Hello All,

This is actually my second post !

There doesnt seem to be a welcome board here so I thought I would introduce myself.

I live in Ireland and have recently got into Cryptocurrency. My brother has been prompting
me to "invest" as he bought BTC a few years ago. So back in January I made a small
purchase and I have been adding every other week and have a nice LITTLE spread.

I have computer knowledge but not in the programming field! I can do the usual
little jobs, change graphics cards, hard drives blah blah blah......
I also do some Web and Graphic Design.

I have to congratulate both Bitcontalk and its users for a VAST amount of information.
I have been reading on and off for the last 2 months and it hard sometimes to sift
through the conflicting opinions etc.
But overall I an enjoying the learning curve!!

I have a feeling that this year will/may be a big year for cryptocurrencies . . .

Hi, welcome to the forum. roam around the forum and check what you think could help you in your journey, by the way, you may want to check this stickies in the very first of this beginners & help:
 About wallets - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/general-bitcoin-wallets-which-what-why-1631151
How you can earn - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1629118.0\
And other things you need to know - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/newbies-read-before-posting-1689727

All of it can help you. You don't need to be a genius in computer to use bitcoin, a simple knowledge on how to send and receive is enough to begin with.

Welcome on board to bitcointalk buddy, First check the multiple thread here in the forum, prioritize to read threads in beginners and help section. Then have a look at rise and rise of bitcoin video in Youtube. It makes you understand the currency revolution the world economy. Please aware of ponzi schemes in the site. Don't invest on them without refer about it or knowledge about it.

First off, welcome to our community. It was really nice to hear "newbies" like you joining here and telling a little bit about yourself and how to got started in the bitcoin. And you mentioned that you are investing in bitcoin since January and it looks like the dividends is paying for you. Good to hear that you are enjoying your stay here and learning. It just reminds of myself as well, a lot of information and its hard to digest in the beginning. Just be active here. You can even offer your skills because and earn bitcoins. Goodluck on your endeavors in the crypto world.

Hey, Welcome to our little corner of the digital world.  Grin

The conflicting opinions is part of the fun... we can discuss topics and brainstorm ideas and things get heated some times, but most of the time

it gets sorted out without violence.  Grin Grin Grin .... The forum is a vast resource of information and a hub of activity compared to other forums. We

welcome people with your skills... so get out there and start offering your skills for bitcoins.  Wink

Thank you RJX!

I have "invested" [i use the word lightly] in Bitcoin along with 4 other Alt's
nothing major. I work a day job and I have plenty of bills and other commitments
so I'll be adding to my portfolio as I go along and when I have a few extra floating funds!

I suppose I'm thinking of the future but I know these coins could go any way

Welcome sir! You've come to right place.

Are you planning on simply acquiring bitcoins waiting for the price to go up or are you planning on investing in Altcoins as well?

If you are, be very careful, don't believe anyone and only invest in what you're willing to lose.

Other than that: have a good time on this forum!
