You might want to read the bitcoin whitepaper. All the talk here is based on this work. You can find a link to it below, where it says "the gospel according to Satoshi". Not all of it is an easy read, but there are a lot of answers in there.

Hi and welcome, I was like you once and the best way I find to learn was just do a lot of reading, read about wallets, how they work, what are security precautions etc. Find out where you can buy bitcoin, how you send/receive them. There is lot of information on the forum already, just use the search feature and you'd find answers to most of your question. Take it easy. 
One of most important things what to do is to choose BTC wallet - there are many choices - either offline or online, security, your OS system e.t.c. If you choose online BTC wallet - I suggest Blockchain wallet - it is one of best online wallets.
