I hope your wife is okay with that!
If she is, I think you can sell it and invest in some crypto. Considering that we are now pretty low in the market, you will earn 2x, or 3x in a year or so.
I always thought that all this jewelry doesn't really important, what is important is real money and technology.

I get that you're trying to say that buying bitcoins is more important than jewelry, but jewelry is very important to women because some of them inherit it from their parents. While it's not necessarily a bad idea to sell your wife's jewelry, you should think about the situation first. You might not think much of jewelry, but there are some places where women value it, particularly when attending ceremonies. It's crucial for a woman to have a lovely appearance and treat her husband well.
Everything has its own values, some of which will matter to you and some of which won't, is what I'm trying to say. Selling your wife's jewelry and investing the money is a smart move because you'll both appreciate it in the long run.

The belief that you have in Bitcoin dude is good, and you have been honest with your wife in this matter, and your wife has also shown her trust in you. But it seems that you didn't mention to your wife the risk that can be faced by investing in Bitcoin. It's like you used hype for your wife.

I hope you also explained to her that it also has risks somehow because it is not clear how you fully explained to her why you need to invest in Bitcoin.

Now as for gold and bitcoin, they are both good investments for me.
I believe he didn't tell his wife because he was concerned she wouldn't agree with his plan. He made the wrong judgment because I see him being controlled by his emotions because he was in a hurry. There is a strong likelihood that persons who do not tell their partner about their goals in detail will fail. I had a similar incident in 2021, due to my lack of information about cryptocurrency, I was hyped. I revealed my plans but not in full detail, which is why he agreed. As a result, I suffered a financial loss and she is affected too. As I previously stated, it does not always occur, but it is preferable to be cautious.

We know gold is very precious metal, but Bitcoin is much more expensive than gold. Bitcoin will cross $100k after halving in 2024 ie if I invest $3000 in Bitcoin now then there is a chance of getting 10x after 2024. If I get $30000 from investing $3000, nothing can be as valuable as Bitcoin. I explained this formula to my wife at night and she was not willing to give me her jewelery at first but today she told me by herself that you can sell my jewelery and invest in Bitcoin. At present I am forced to sell my wife's jewelery as I have no fiat money.
I seek advice from expert investors/holders/users of this forum,,,,
whether selling my wife's jewelery and investing on bitcoins makes sense?
Is it reasonable to invest in gold rather than bitcoin?

If these are wife's jewelry, then why should they be perceived as a means for investment? After all, gold is an investment in itself, and these jewelry were probably someone else's gifts for your wife, maybe even yours, so they can be associated with some kind of pleasant memories. And probably there are not so many decorations to make it a significant investment. Of course, it is up to you to decide, perhaps it will bring benefits if you set a goal to sell bitcoin when it grows to a certain level.

The question here is does your wife agree with this?
It is her jewelry and she might consider it as something more valuable than money because of the memories that she had on those jewelry.
There are times that money couldn't overvalue those things so you should also consider it.
For me if it is about the money then it could be worth it, but if it would somehow wreck your relationship then it is not worth the risk.

Maybe his wife agree on this, you just don't sell someone's jewelry if you have no permission. Let ask first before you sell because if you just sell it and your wife didn't know that you sell her jewelry and that jewelry is important to her, that will be worse and there's a chance that she will file a divorce and her life will be worse also. Investing bitcoin is very risky, don't rush your life just to make rich and you have no clue that bitcoin will drop. Try to think and understand what you're doing and don't rush yourself(for others who seen this post, this is for you also)

I'm sure with the potential prosperity that the small sacrifice could bring, a rational wife would understand the reasoning that if the investment in Bitcoin succeeds, the jewelry can probably be bought back at with Bitcoin left over as profit...and if it does not work, well, I wish you luck LDL Cheesy

I can never be part of this kind of investment that is why I see it as a bad idea for op to think of seeling his wife jewelry just to purchase Bitcoin no matter how hard life may be. This is never a good idea even though the wife finally agreed with that. It is against her wish and if she had decided to give her jewelry out for sell then that is different from this one trying to convince her for nothing.
I don't know about you but I don't trace this as an idea at all, many folk would rather sell stuff that don't have much value to them while they still can and purchase bitcoin which later yield them little or huge profits in the future. But one thing that needs to be noted is whether the asset sole is still of use or not because selling something is of good use to you for a bitcoin investment is rather obnoxious knowing that bitcoin is volatile and your investment could go downside if the price experience a big dip.

he has said that his wife agreed in the end bro, but i think his wife might have been a little forced and finally had to give up the jewelery because she believed and supported OP as her husband. because it is not easy for some women to just let go of their jewelery for no apparent reason.

For me if it is about the money then it could be worth it, but if it would somehow wreck your relationship then it is not worth the risk.

but I'm sure of course they will have discussed it carefully, because before that OP had explained and asked permission carefully from his wife, right?
everyone will try to take advantage of the opportunities that exist and sometimes dare to take big risks, especially when it comes to investing in Bitcoin. because there is no doubt that Bitcoin has proven its existence to date, even though it is very volatile.

In my opinion, selling jewelry to invest in gold is a very reasonable investment.

We can say with a high degree of probability that the price of Bitcoin is now close to the local minimum (and unequivocally say that the price of Bitcoin is not at its maximum levels).

The price of gold can also rise, but gold has an industrial use, so regulators will not allow its price to rise too much (this could hurt the economy).

As for Bitcoin, its price can easily increase 10 times and reach the price of $250,000.

And its price might drop extremely too, something we don't hope to be happened but very possible for that. Some people even me believe the bitcoin price can be so high someday, but the main concern is, its price is decreasing when this couple need money urgently.

At first glance, this is a very bold and enthusiastic decision. But what is the gold lying in the box? Yes, it is an asset, but its price has already been set, and we still do not know the true price of bitcoin. But of course this price is more than a hundred thousand dollars. I believe that the author of the post will be able to increase his capital, and buy back the gold with a vengeance. And plus buy another nice house for your wife.

Never put all your hope or expectations into crypto because you risk getting disappointed.

I get that you don't want anything to prevent you from buying bitcoin, even if that means selling your wife's jewelry since you don't have any currency on hand. But It doesn't seem appropriate in this situation to sell your wife's jewelry in the anticipation that bitcoin would reach $100k at the halving the next year because you can never predict where the price of bitcoin will end up (Although many anticipate for any increased price of bitcoin due to the past halving season that has occurred).

Try your best to keep your expectations low and refrain from selling your wife's jewels because your prediction of $100k is not a guarantee that it will materialize.

Tell your wife this:
Sell them now, I'll buy them back in 5 years with 10X more.

It's pure fact because those that invested in bitcoin few years back, assuming close to a decade, they're in their luxury cars and good looking houses. They made gigantic profits from the market and they're referred to as the whales. I'm at a level where I need gathering solidly to my foundation with important tools inother to triggered profits at the end. Sell your wife's jewelry and using it to bagged more bitcoins, trust me you will be the one smiling at the end. Bitcoin have a promising future and it doesn't require anything but it's place at high level of risks.
But we know that those are just applicable into those times on which the price is still cheap which it cant be possible for things to have that multiple fold considering on the current price of bitcoin and this is why
its better not to give that kind of hope or idea in mind because it cant just possible.Yes, it does have the potential but 2x-10x is the only maximum i could see but well theres no one could able to
tell on where we do go.

Selling out something for the sake of Bitcoin accumulation isnt really that a bad idea but of course you should really know about the risks involved. It could neither give out positive
or negative results which you should really be that prepared of.

Not a bad idea to me though but I hope you've explained things to your wife extensively as 1 BTC might not be worth the 100k you're eyeing by 2024. Although, there's a certainty that BTC will surely rise after the upcoming halving, but no one knows for sure when it'll be activated for the bull run. Invest wisely OP
We all in here are not saying it's a bad idea for op to sell his wife's jewellery to buy bitcoin and as a matter of fact, since oo mentioned the item to include gold which is also a good investment and less volatile compared to bitcoin.

And since we know how emotional women could be sometimes, it's better to give the the chance to take the risk themselves.

But since op already bought bitcoin with the proceeds am sure he is ready to have a long wait to cash out the gains he wants.

Let's imagine that you have invested the proceeds from the sale of jewelry but your investment will not give you a profit, what will you do then?I also don’t understand where you get the idea that there will be a big increase after halving?Hold jewelry like an asset of gold that costs like gold, don't do it, look for other ways to invest in bitcoin.
