I did also have that same regret back then, but I guess it is just another memory to not be worried about. Anyone recall when it was like $500/BTC? I am pretty sure that not many investors would think of it anyway. In any way, I am okay with not being able to rent a villa in the end. No point of overthinking/regretting on something that you cannot control.

Getting rich through Bitcoin or even being rich itself is not my end goal. Maybe just financially stable and living in a little bit of comfort. Cheesy

Nothing lasts forever
I was fortunate enough to learn about Bitcoin before it became so popular. Similarly, I'm one of the idiots who saw this as a huge opportunity to make money, didn't think twice about it, and let it pass them by.
Back in 2014, I started my first full-time job online on Fiverr, and I had a couple of friends who were passionate about Blockchain and Bitcoin. It didn't take long for me to make a friend named Michael. We talked a lot about programming and new technology like IoT and AI most of the time. We used to play video games together most of the time when I visited him.

One day, after finishing the game, I took his phone to call my girlfriend, and then I noticed something on his phone. It appears to be
1BvBMSEZstWetqSFy5Au4m4GFg7xJaHVG6.

I noticed that he wanted to send it to someone. I was like, what kind of nonsense is this? He said it wasn't gibberish, then he explained everything I needed to know about Bitcoin addresses and blockchains, and his enthusiasm for the subject captivated my attention so much that I didn't want him to stop talking. But then I recall most of the Ponzi schemes that I fell prey to in the past.
The more he talked about it, the more Bitcoin appeared to be the better option for me. It was worth a shot.
One of the biggest issues I had that year, and it was the worst year of my life, was that I was very poor, and I didn't have extra money to gamble on something I don't know about. As a result, I concluded that I can't gambling on this.

I'm furious at myself for not purchasing bitcoin sooner. Though I'm a happy man now because I can now smile at my wallet.

Invest now, so you will not regret it later.

I have a similar story because I started my crypto journey back in 2015. I have seen bitcoin trading around $250 but I was too young and broke back then.
I didn't had a job and hence no money to invest. Started with faucets, cloud mining etc... and gradually started gaining knowledge on crypto.
I don't have a huge portfolio but still I am happy with what I have for I know it's value will be good in the future.
Crypto is here to stay and this is just the beginning.

Yes. That's why when someone asks me how to make money on crypto I just tell them to DCA and forget about it. If you literally buy one bitcoin and forget about it for like 10 years, one day you will wake up a millionaire. And it's also a good way save nerves by avoiding day trading.

I think, majority of bitcoiners go through what you went through about Bitcoin before they later understood it very well that Bitcoin is very important to humanity and to the world generally. Those that got it right newly by investing in Bitcoin always celebrate for the opportunity embraced, because they believe there is a brighter future ahead of them when the price hit higher in the market. Now that the price of Bitcoin is preparing to increase to $24,000, it will be favourable for investors to buy more of Bitcoin and hold for like 4 or 6 months before they can sell, because Bitcoin price will definitely hit back to $50,000 before the end of this year.

You have to be clear of mist, that is clarity, always, every time, an opportunity is repeated, not only with bitcoin.

There is always something, an asset in the traditional stock market, a purchase of furniture, minerals, jewelry, community investments, etc. and in that spectrum of possibilities with possible positive returns, we have bitcoin.

In fact, it has recently had a growth of more than 40% in a period of 30 days. Then, oh Yes!.  Everyone's reach, it is fascinating to think that from this idea of access to all social-economic levels, someone 30 days ago could see such significant growth, but you have to understand In the same way that for some it means recovery and for others it continues to be losses.

So it is not just investing in bitcoin, it is understanding that it is a particular investment asset very different from any other to which you have access as an individual and perhaps without any type of knowledge in the area of digital investments or of any kind.

So invest yes, but you must understand and face the setbacks in which you may find yourself involved with the money you invest in bitcoin, always from the colloquial point of view there is a very big difference between the adjective buy and/or invest, it seems simple jargon , but like other concepts or jargon used in the crypto investment environment, you must learn to differentiate.

There are ordinary people who buy a house and there are people who invest in a house, the first one has it for a long indeterminate period, the second one they want to sell for what they obtain the expected profit, in both cases there is a great risk of loss, but a big difference in the Time objective of the return of investment.

The point is... enough of the speech, I missed it.

And in that order of ideas, people like OP proclaim that they have gone through the traumatic process of according to them (it is a reality not only with bitcoin with many other assets) they have the previous speech "I missed it", They go through the tedious experience of being town criers to believe oneself healers and incorporate new "sheep" with the simple speech bitcoin is the asset that will get you out of poverty. And they start using jargon that instead of helping, they complicate the existence of whoever arrives.

The thing is that this type of context like the one presented to us by OP is a historical reference that must be assumed as surpassed, the different fronts where you can be with bitcoin must be disseminated, each of these positions represents an opportunity not only seeing bitcoin as an asset based on its price.

The point is that this type of context like the one presented to us by OP is a historical reference that must be assumed as surpassed, the different fronts where you can be with bitcoin must be disseminated, each of these positions represents an opportunity not only seeing bitcoin as an asset based on its price, if not as a revolutionary technological mechanism that depending on your capacity you can project it as a tool for your business or venture.
Or!.
As simple as you can give others the understanding that having bitcoin is a true financial empowerment.

And that's the real bitcoin discussion... by the way, if you enter tomorrow or when you can... without regrets, yes, please!.

People always be divided into groups, first who are not afraid to take risk decisions, second who try to catch a missing train. No matter how many historical examples, proofs and facts you show to a second group of people, they will hesitate to do.

In OP defense or to cheer him up, I can say that we never know what future will be, especially when we talk about investment. Be happy that you are smart enough to realize that you have missed your chance. Be happy that you did not buy Bitcoin at 1000, and sell it at 4000. It will be a more painful hit to groin, if you were an early seller.

Likewise me, I also felt like wasting the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin.
now you can start again. being in regret is not pleasant. but it's even worse if you don't take the next step and ignore your regrets.
investing in Bitcoin can be at any time. people say the most important thing is that you are patient and able to handle your Bitcoin more wisely.
I wish you luck with the investment you make.

I definitely had this regret back in the day. I got bitcoin at fairly cheap prices, I made a fairly good return, rent a villa for vacation type of "influencer" things, and actually had a very very rich one year, you know what happened after that? Bitcoin got even higher, and I had none. Which is why I realized that even though that was probably the best year of my life, I could say that it was also a bad decision and I regret doing that. If I kept that bitcoin, right now I would be rich enough to just buy the whole villa. In any case, that was a lesson, and good memories, and since then I have been collecting as much as I can, albeit very little compared to many people, but still a start for me.
When it comes on missing out that opportunity then lots of us does share up with the same experience and regrets that we do have specially on dealing with crypto and with Bitcoin. If we had just knew that it could

reach up heights that we didnt expect for it to be reached and able to accumulate and hold until those moments then we would consider ourselves to be that rich and this is something that we are really that hoping

for but since we had missed out those chances then its better to move on.Dont make yourself get imprisoned out by the past because it would really just hinder you out on what are the things you
do plan to be doing in future.Move on and its not really that late for you to start up for this time.

I don't really think that anyone is going to have any regret later for not investing in Bitcoin. The thing is no one actually knows the future of Bitcoin where it is headed and how it will surmount the numerous issues with the government and regulators. right now everything is all speculation I think the only regret anyone would have later is not having a diversification plan. Do not put all your eggs in one basket, diversification will lead to fulfilment and happiness in the long run.

After all, you started it already. Just continue what you are doing and for those newbies out there, OP said to invest now, but that doesn't mean that you will invest without any proper knowledge at all. Do a research first before investing.
As long as the OP realizes that the current $23K is -66% of ATH 11-10-2021 then he just needs to convince himself to buy as much bitcoin as he can afford.

People say, DCA is the best strategy to buy at the moment even though bitcoin price has increased almost 40% in the last 30 days. But I believe the price will continue to increase in the following months because so far for one year period the price position still shows dips -39%.

These two comparisons must be considered, and of course I can convince myself to continue to accumulate for 2023 and beyond.

That's definitely the thing that people are forgetting about. We may have "gone up" recently, and that's good for some people, we have seen 16k at the bottom and now we have seen 23k, which means that it has gone up. But, you need to remember that we are pretty much 2/3 down on bitcoin from ATH and that shows that we are capable of going up x3 more, and that's very important.

If we can go up x3 more than that means we are going to profit more than any other investment we could make. When will this happen? I do not know, none of us do, but isn't it worth it to keep waiting for a x3 profit? I could wait 3 years for such a return because not many things I know could give me x3 in 3 years.

I'm sure many people feel the way you feel.
Likewise me, I also felt like wasting the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin.
Even though Bitcoin used to be trending several times in various news at my place and many said Bitcoin was a good opportunity.
But what I did before was just looking at it and not really interested.
I just love to see and feel amazed by the success of some people in my country getting rich by buying Bitcoin.
I'm not interested yet because I used to think that to make a profit from Bitcoin you have to have very good skills and understanding of technology.
I also used to think that profiting from buying Bitcoins was out of my reach.

Luckily I was recommended by my friend to be able to join this forum.
Because in this forum I can learn more basic knowledge about blockchain, cryptocurrency, trading and others.
And from this forum I see a lot of positive enthusiasm from other members for beginners like me.

Regrets are normal when having such opportunities and wasting them. The important is to not live thinking on past events.

Of course the profitability potential of bitcoin right now isn't the same of 2014, but it's still in time to start investing and accumulating some satoshis, so you and your past can make it up, and you can boost your personal finances once bitcoin becomes more expensive.

But everyone will go through it to feel or have felt sorry about all of this. You must continue to learn from your regrets because life will always be about regrets and minimizing what you will experience later. so all you have to understand about what you have regretted.

I know that feeling very well, my first bitcoins I had in 2016 and unfortunately I sold all of them back in the days. It was my biggest trading mistake to not stick around. From time to time I think about how many bitcoins I had and how much money that would have been today. Such a thinking is of course not really fruitful and only makes me feel mad. It's hard to accept that we can't turn back time, the only thing we can do is learn from our mistakes and not repeat them. I am also happy that I am invested in bitcoins now and I am never going to sell all my coins again. Don't make the same mistake like me guys and stay invested, otherwise you are going to feel bad in a few years.

You know what's the worst thing an investor can do in his investing journey? Not investing at all when people are scared of investing into it.

You're a newbie at that time and it's quite normal that newbies have some doubts into their minds when they see something for the first time especially when there's money involved. It's normal that they will be afraid at first because their hard-earned money is at stake.

As for you, no need to be furious about. There are some investors out there who also experienced the same as you are. They also have doubts in their mind when they first heard about Bitcoin. Anyway, you can't bring back the past anymore. The only thing you can do is to just move on, move forward and continue accumulating. After all, you started it already. Just continue what you are doing and for those newbies out there, OP said to invest now, but that doesn't mean that you will invest without any proper knowledge at all. Bitcoin lessons aren't cheap at all. If I have learned something important about it is to not look back because we will regret all those missed opportunities. And our only option is to make a plan for the future.

I think we are still in time to join the party, and I will be late for all if bitcoin goes over $100k. Because right now getting 0.1BTC isn't that hard at all, but in some years, it will be hard, and you can mark my words about it.

Yes, I quite agree with what you said. if we buy for the long term then today's price is not quite expensive or can be said to be quite cheap. because it is still far from ATH. and I think it's lucky enough for us to enter at this time and I'm lucky enough to have accumulated when bitcoin was under $20k USD. because in the next year I'm pretty sure we're all going to feel miss to see the prices now. because it is possible that in the coming years the current price will be quite difficult for us to meet again.
While the bitcoin price is still at the current price level, we can still get a decent amount of bitcoins to serve as our future investment so we must use this opportunity in our favor. Don't just look at the past because we can not change it but we still have a future that we can make better than now. If we want to try at present, we will see how the results will be in the future, which will certainly give us good results. Those who bought bitcoin at a low price a few weeks ago will not panic anymore because they have managed to see temporary profits so these profits will increase as the price increases later.

Well, there cannot be any regrets... if you do not have the money to buy bitcoins. Also, the biggest mistake people can make ..is to buy bitcoin with debt. I worked a second job to be able to buy bitcoins back in the day, when the Bitcoin price was about $400 per coin, so my rewards from the future profits was earned with sweat and tears.  Wink

Also, Bitcoin should not be seen as an investment... things can turn bad very quickly.. and then people can be stuck with coins that are valued at $10. I invested in the "freedom" that Bitcoin offered me.... 24 hour access to my own wealth... and nobody that restrict the things that I can do with it. (If I wanted to donate to WikiLeaks... then I could do it)  Wink

Yes, well said. bitcoin should be associated with freedom, not with debts that need to be repaid, especially if after you buy bitcoin the price goes down. I don't know how the price of bitcoin may rise in the future, but I like to regard bitcoin as a good investment, perhaps primarily as an investment in my freedom. A bull market should start relatively soon, which is always a lot of positive emotions. )

Most of us have similar stories as the OP's, well, let me not try to generalize anything, i personally have a similar story, most especially the being so poor, to the extent of not having extra money to gamble on something I am not so sure of part.
In my case though, I never doubted Bitcoin when I discovered it in late 2015, I've been victims to lots of Ponzi scheme scams before then, but when i discovered bitcoin and followed it for sometime, i was so eager to invest in it but the problem was that, there was no money, then, the price of bitcoin was a little above $100 I think, i was working a 6 to 7 job in a factory back then, but i could barely live on what I earn as salary, talk more of having saving or extra money to buy bitcoin as I desired, I resorted to earning bitcoin for free through faucets, it didn't take long before faucets became obsolete as the price of bitcoin began to soar..

Long story short is that, I regret not having the financial ability to invest in  bitcoin when the prices was really cheaper, but one thing i am thankful for today is that I am here today, and from the little money I've made, never will such an opportunity as this pass me by again, except I did not see it on time.
