Invest in both Bitcoin and Altcoins, make sure that you invest in Bitcoin more than altcoin in percentage because Bitcoin is more reliable long term, altcoins are very risky and you can lose money, but you can't lose money with Bitcoin unless you decide to sell when the present value on the market is not good enough.

Control yourself OP when you're feeling greedy. You're just starting out and you'll know yourself better when you're already there.
But the best to start with is always bitcoin. Check the altcoins out when you think you've got sufficient bitcoin holdings. I started with bitcoin and later on learned some altcoins but still, nothing has changed because I sold too early and missed the greater profits. But other than that, still I'm in profit when I've made those.

I feel it is not just greed that is only the problem of op, I think he is confused and lack knowledge to know which is the best to start from. No other altcoins can be compared to bitcoin in everything.  A beginner who is planning to start investing in altcoins,  it is just as if pouring water into the basket. Bitcoin is very reliable and it is better beginners start with it,  I see investing in altcoins as playing gambling to try luck if it will work out or not.
Definitely you're right. People like OP is really confused on how they should start. They see people who have been doing well with altcoins and that's where the idea that if it's going good with the others, he thinks that it will also be awesome for him.
But that's not how it goes and it's hard to be on the same position because not every choice and investment that we do are going to have the same impact and result. He has to look at that part for him to check where he's really comfortable and good at. But without a doubt, to invest in bitcoin is the best start.

The best digital currency for a newbie is Bitcoin, it takes no time to understand what bitcoin is all about, but in the case of altcoins, there are too many things to be cautious about, there are a few things you need to learn about altcoins, they are too risky but more profitable when it comes to return of investment, do not be fooled by the profits you can make from altcoins, because you can also make a huge loss too.

Bitcoin will bring ease to your mind compared to altcoins and I can assure you that Bitcoin will bring you returns on the long run, as for altcoins it's probably, they can die on you any time, so I can't assure you on that.

Op it's better to do your own research in order to know more about Bitcoin and altcoins but most user here in forum if you shared to them what are the best for investment then for sure bitcoins will be the choice cause we all know that Bitcoins is the king of crypto and trusted enough. While investing in altcoins which is very risky because some altcoins are only in the beginning. And in the end it will make you lost.

Personally i would say bitcoin, altcoins are too variable, risky
You have a very good choice, but in my experience, you have to know how to trade before you gain much from Bitcoin unless the halving periods. The trading will afford you the opportunity of earning from both bearish and bullish moments in spots and futures trading. The price of Bitcoin is already large, holding during a normal time would only amount to little or no gain.

On the contrary, altcoins are many, one can select a good one with a low price that might outshine Bitcoin to give profits in multiples, even in holding.

As a newbie in crypto that wants to join his friend in investing in crypto. I would advise you to start by diversifying your investment in bitcoin and 20 top altcoins (80% bitcoin and 20% altcoin). Keep in mind that crypto investment is not a get-rich scheme. You invest with the amount you can afford to lose. Don't invest if you don't understand how the volatile market works. But if you are ready to take that risk, lucky you as you invest and hodl patiently.

I'm confused, should I invest in bitcoin or other coins? In my friend's opinion, he suggested investing in bitcoin. But what do you think, is it better to invest in bitcoin or other coins?
Because your friend invited you and advised you to invest in Bitcoin, it means that Bitcoin is the best and safest option for you.

There is a significant risk associated with Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investment; some altcoins are excellent and have a promising future that can be relied on, but they all rely on Bitcoin. Bitcoin price movement determines the movement of other coins (altcoins), which simply means that they all rely on Bitcoin, whereas Bitcoin is self-contained.

You can do more research on it before investing so that you don't end up regretting your decision.

Hi, I'm newbie in this forum.
I recently found out about bitcoin from my friend. Then I am interested in investing. But after I found out, that coins are not just bitcoin but there are also coins (altcoins).
Hi there, welcome.
I hope that you can have enough time to learn more about cryptocurrency.
Yeah, cryptocurrency is not only Bitcoin but also these altcoins. And you can find thousands of altcoins in the market. I am sure that you will be probably confused about those lots of altcoins to choose. But, don't take it hard.

I'm confused, should I invest in bitcoin or other coins? In my friend's opinion, he suggested investing in bitcoin. But what do you think, is it better to invest in bitcoin or other coins?
Because you are new in crypto investment, I do really agree with your friend, investing in Bitcoin is the best thing to do for you.
There are some reasons why should be Bitcoin. Besides this is the first crypto that of course has a best value and market cap than altcoins, we also have to know the cycle of Bitcoin. This era is in the bearish era which the market is still under the price. That is why this era is a good time for you to buy Bitcoin in a low price and then hold the coins until at least the next bullish era, it will be probably around 2024-2025 or more. You can watch the market to analyze the time.

Investing in Bitcoin is risky, but I think that it is a higher risk to invest in altcoins. What you need is to get your fund and risk management. You may see some days later, the price of Bitcoin may be changing to be crashed or rising up, don't panic because it is very normal. the price of Bitcoin is very volatile which is why you must be patient when investing in Bitcoin especially. You need to wait for it to reach the next bullish era at least to take profits. This will be worthier.

yes, maybe I should learn more about bitcoin and altcoins first. I'm also worried that I will be too greedy and end up investing and end up losing.
It is a good decision. Do deep learning or further learning about Bitcoin and altcoins first if you are still not really sure about them. No need to hurry to invest in Bitcoin or altcoins, learning should be your priority since your are a beginner. When you think you are quite confident and already get sufficient knowledge about Bitcoin/Altcoins, you can make your own decision whether to invest in Bitcoin or altcoins (or invest in both).

However, it is true that investing in Bitcoin is truly safer than investing in altcoins. You must ever heard that people call Bitcoin is the king of crypto, that's because Bitcoin is like the gold in crypto or main crypto coin. And you must realize that BTC is always in number 1 on CMC although altcoins often changes their positions. That's pretty clear that BTC is much stronger than others, and it potentiually survive more than others.

For investment in Cryptocurrency I think the best option and safe option will be the founder of crypto name Bitcoin, I am not against any altcoins but after huge ancident of alts coin like Terra Luna and FTT it hurt the investor trust , now people feel uncomfortable for investment in any alt coin because any coin can make scam any time rather the Bitcoin. I know it's not easy for everyone to afford the entire Bitcoin due to high price but trust me it will safer for your saving, you can buy half or half quarter of Bitcoin, it's upto you.
The case of FTT and Luna is the dark history of the top altcoins that have ever happened and maybe it will not be the last altcoin that will end badly, there is a possibility that many other altcoins will follow in the footsteps of the coins in the future, so be careful when deciding to invest in altcoins and it is better to invest completely BTC for the long term, even if you choose some altcoin investments, you should analyze more thoroughly and check the progress of the project every time to avoid the possibility that the project may crash at any time.

I will Prefer you invest in Bitcoin because Bitcoin is not like other coins, for years now Bitcoin has been the standout among other coins, so investing in bitcoin will bring you a lot of profits and peace that your investment will not just fail. All those altcoins cannot be trusted on like Bitcoin. But one thing you should know about investment in bitcoin is that it is all about patience. It is advisable that you invest and keep investing, but make sure you invest an amount you can lose.

If i were you i'd prolly not be confused and invest in Bitcoin straightaway, but that's because i know that Bitcoin has an actual utility and is quite different from most altcoins without any utility at all. Because Bitcoin has an actual utility it is sustainable for the long term, thus you can hold your coins for as long as you like, but with altcoins you have to be actively checking for when it is either going to pump or dump, you basically have to buy before it pumps, and sell before it dumps, that's the nature of altcoins and why it's somewhat like you're just gambling.

You only heard from your friend that you can invest in Bitcoin.  You cannot take such a big investment decision just by hearing from your friend. And you said that bitcoin can be invested in other coins as well. Listening to you, it seems that you are interested or encouraged to invest only after hearing the good aspects related to investment from your friend. But if you don't have enough knowledge about investing, you can face a lot of losses by investing. So don't get so excited to invest just by hearing from someone, take some time and get a good idea about the investment first. Then you decide to invest.  But the bottom line here is that you want to know whether it is better to invest in bitcoin or ALT coins I will always say investing in bitcoin is better. Because all other coins in the market are dependent on Bitcoin. And you get the confidence by investing in Bitcoin that all other coins don't. So I will tell you first enough understanding about investment then invest Bitcoin.

Bitcoin investment is safer than altcoin investment. But compared to Bitcoin, altcoins can generate gains more quickly. Due to the low value of altcoin, excellent quality is quickly pumped up, and even with a tiny investment, it is possible to make significant profits from this swiftly. However, there is also a big danger because it is very challenging to determine which altcoin is the most likely coin because there are so many on the market. With altcoins, it's simple to lose value and even go extinct, but that's not the case with bitcoin.

In my opinion I believe bitcoin investment is the best investment but in crypto you should not just invest in a coin just because you are yold to do so no matter assurance you are given. Instead you should do your research and decide on the best coin to invest.

you need to make your plan beforehand. Do you want to invest for the long term. or are you going to invest for the short and medium term. Or maybe you want to plan everything.

I personally only invest in bitcoin if it is for the long term. while I only buy altcoins to be used as short and medium term investments

You also need to know that altcoins have a higher risk than bitcoin. this is what makes bitcoin the only one I choose for the long term. But you also need to know that altcoins sometimes have a high potential for increase. it's just that you shouldn't be careless in investing in altcoins.

high upside potential will only occur in well-developed altcoins such as Ethereum, BNB and top altcoins. The altcoin will have more potential. But for new altcoins it's still not visible, but some I see are able to experience significant increases such as APTOS which was hype and became a trending topic because of the extraordinary increase and became a new network in crypto. it is not easy to find similar altcoin projects that will have good potential, it is necessary to do detailed research on each project to be involved. At the moment bitcoin is indeed the best for the long term, no one doubts it. Even the current bitcoin price is still quite cheap before reaching ATH $100k. Investment in bitcoin is the main investment and altcoins are optional investments that you can choose or not.
