Invest in BTC is better than invest in ICO. Where you have a stable market leading coin, then why you will go for a new, unknown coin? Spo, I prefer to invest in BTC, ETH, and other stable coins. Sometimes, if you want to promote a new idea in blockchain with making money then you can invest in ICO too. Everything is helpful for the blockchain technology.
I am a newcomer to the crypto market.

Both are investing is profitable but need to choose one of them where do you prepare to invest or you can choose both if you have enough investment capital, but i will suggest to before getting involved to invest gerein crypto need to get a lot of skills and knowledge to avoid loses of your money.

If you were a newbie in cryptos, Im suggest to save your money, because many of ICO were scam. So Im worries you would be scamed with ICO because of you can analyz what is the best ICO. but you can learn about that. I would recommend BTC but your returns are not guaranteed due to the volatility of the market. If you want to go the ICO route make sure you can participate. I would be inclined to participate in ICO's that have soft & hard caps and have some sort of protection towards the investors in the case they don't meet such caps. Want to get your feet wet? Try looking for Bounties or Air Drops, great way to participate in ICO's without having to invest, just your time and effort. Many ways to get involved in the crypto world. Best of luck.

i think invest in BTC because Bitcoin is the main coin in crypto and real. Investing in an ICO's is risky as some of them are scams and wait for listing exchange.
You do not have to stick to one thing. A competent investor will always diversify his funds. Therefore, I would advise you to invest 70% of your money in bitcoin, and distribute the rest for different ICO projects.
I would say always invest over 50% into btc and then be carefull with ICOs

there are lots of good ICO but if you want to earn even a little every month or every week you can invest to bitcoin itself since the year are yet to reach december which people predicted that when december comes the price will hits a good price for btc so it is better to invest to it because if you invest in ICO it requires you to hold for along period of time.
You're right. But it may be better to buy ether or other crupto of top10. When bitcoin grows, their price also increases, sometimes even more in percentage terms. And ICO, of course, must be chosen carefully. There are many failed projects, but there are also promising ones. As for me I am waiting for Menlo.one ICO.
