I think that investment in litecoin will be better than in BTS if you are ready to hold for sometime. Litecoin is a very promising coin and you can be sure that you will be able to earn good profits for your investment if you will hold for sometime.

Ofcoarse invest your money in Litecoin because if you choose this coin you have big future . Because this coin for sureincrease in the future. I think they have possible you become rich after few years of holding. I dont have BTs because I dont like to buy I dont know whybut base on my research even they have potential but little only compared to the litecoin is one popular altcoins in crypto world.

I'd invest LTC for long term most probably between the two but LTC's price today is not a good time to buy for investment, on the other hand for BTS though I'm not really familiar with its project if it has but probably do short term on that but is not really my priority or at least not in my priority list of the altcoins.

First principle in investing is don't invest on others suggesting and specially in cryptocurrencies. Listen everyone and take your own decision if you want to invest in any of these. I can say about myself if I had to choose surely was going for LTC. It has lot of space to grow with genuine team and lot of hype about it.

With LTC, you invest in a coin that has a totally unknown future.

With mining, there can be a technological breakthrough, and it will affect the coin. It can be a chip, it can be a memory, you don't know, but it can be crippled at any moment.

We all know that BTS has the chance to take over exchanges since it is a decentralized exchange, let's hope the people will notice that and start using it.

I like the decentralized system although it would be great if the BTS exchange will undergo more improvements so people will appreciate it more. Nonetheless crypto is guided with the spirit of decentralization making BTS very promising.

Litecoin is probably the worst investement you can make of any crypto IMO, specially at this price. Its record as a store of value is abominable and it relies on periodic "resuscitation" pumps just to be kept alive. Have a look at this:

Clearly the place not to buy is right at the top of one of those spikes - or in fact anywhere during a litecoin spike, unless you happen to know exactly where you're going to jump off.

The current pump has nothing to do with scaling. It would be if litecoin implementing segwit could scale bitcoin but it isn't, it's scaling litecoin and so it's no more a driver or value than any other scaleable altcoin is. The reason for the pump (as you can see from that chart) is that whales are accumulating bitcoin, not litecoin and are using the recent addition to coinbase as a basis for fleecing unassuming traders jumping on the bandwagon, just exactly as they did with the previous 'spikes'. Note the lower low every year.

Bitshares meanwhile has potentially massive growth at hand.

The reason is that it's uniquely placed to benefit from the large and increasing demand for fiat-pegged cryptographic assets. Just have a look at Tether's volume to see what the potential is. The problem is that Tether is fiat backed whereas Bitshares is a pure crypto solution backed by a genuine market-driven peg.

No brainer I'd say.

Textbook 101 for investments is the fact that past performance does not guarantee future performance.

You are being blinded by technical analysis and ignoring the fundamentals. The game has changed, now litecoin has a main role since it has segwit and its added in coinbase, and its making milestones like getting on the lightning network as the first coin ever with an actual transaction.

For the long term it is BTS more promising but it remains market dependent.

I think LTC is better than BTS, because LTC will have a better future than BTS.

I think it's not fair to compare these two as LTC is far more potential than BTS. After the addition of LTC in coinbase it got more popularity and demand from the cryptocurrency world. I would always prefer BTC over all other altcoins. Started buying and trading CRBIT and its quite good for early traders.

LTC is way more developed, accepted and trusted. I'd definitely recommend LTC from the two options.
But why only these two? Why are you ruling out other good options? I think Decred, Golem and Monero would be good options too. You should check them out before making a final decision.

Keep digging into BTS and one can see some interesting news:

Dan's new project EOS.  While Bitshares has been shown to be able to currently hit ~8k operations a block, http://docs.bitshares.eu/_downloads/bitshares-stresstest.pdf, this number needs to be a magnitude higher for real adoption levels.  EOS should help this scale much, much higher.

https://consumerreality.services/ TV show that is coming? https://steemit.com/bitshares/@stan/hollywood-heros and here for the LONG but very, very interesting presentation: http://consumerreality.services/mission-2/

Volume & liquidity is way up over the years: http://cryptofresh.com/charts (this chart takes awhile to load)

For those that call it trash, have you actually tried using it?  The wallet has come a LONG way in the years BitShares has been up and running.  https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-core/releases

Both are trashcoins ltc more so than bts so if those are ur only two choices then get bts

How can ltc be a "trash coin" when coinbase has listed it? When eth had problems and was at its lowest, coinbase listed it and look at where eth is now. Would ltc head for that same path? It's a possibility. Perhaps Coinbase wouldn't gamble on a coin that won't have a future  Wink So I'd say ltc. Hold some until it peaks.
Just because CoinBase listed it, doesn't mean it has bright future. CoinBase is only in this sector just for the pure profit. They're ripping customers so bad, that's why i never use them.

When I learn trading LTC is my best choice among cryptocurrency. Because I believe it has a good future and still on top in the market. And, many traders invest in Ltc.

Anybody who said to invest into LTC doesn't know a shit about Cryptocurrency. Right now LTC is being OVERVALUED and it's going to fall anytime soon. If you go in now you will have to wait for a long-time to get into profit.

If you read good about BTS then you will know that the price has spiked recently because it got the hype
Take a look at https://twitter.com/bitshares/status/864574047169982464
BTS can handle 3000 transactions per second
I don't want to brag or anything but I'm into BTS since it was 2 cents and I see it hitting atleast 15 cents by the mid of June. I'm here for the long-term investment so I'll just wait and re-invest more once I got some chunk of cash.

But definitely, you should bypass LTC since there will be no profit for you anytime soon there.  You should take a look at NAV, SIA and BELA.
