I don't know why some people are still falling into the traps of those people that will call you for phone or meet you one on one and introduce fake decentralized investment, that if you invest #100,000 you will get #200,000 within a week. Someone came to share with me that there is a BTC investment one of his neighbor introduced to him, that when he invest on it through him , my friend will get double profit from it but the minimum anyone can start with is #500,000 above, that the numbers of people they want in that BTC investment is almost complete, that he came to seek advice from me if such decentralized investment is real.

What is your advice to such person.
Decentralized? One thing is to use words and another thing is to understand what that word actually mean in the context in which they are being used.

That would have been the first step to understanding that there is more to wat your being presented with. Decentralisation is something without an individual or authority at the apex of its control, one that has no chain trend of benefits on referrers.

The closest means to tracking these scams is by knowing what ponzi schemes actually is. It has some definite attributes to its and that is,
* high returns within a short time frame
* they prioritise in referrers
* your paid with money from your downlines and more

It's best you keep your funds and invest in some other positive investments.

Underestimate- nothing
Na pure greed dey cause am, nothing else.
Greedy carry everything, but most people dat fall on the traps are the kind of lazy people who don't want to work hard to get money. Dos people dey look after successful people and like to imagine dem self to be like dem which dey did not view their past and see how they make. It take someone time before making it in life, like ten years, some like five years, some like one year or some few months all this depends on each one destiny. People falling for dis are educated once, almost 95%of them are educated and the reason for all that come from the school mentality of the school that after school the will get a white-collar job which they will continue waiting for and you know human beings have to survive that why they are all involved.

Normally people are greedy and everyone is just trying to press the available buttons to see which one brings luck and some are lazy, I know of people who are always trying new things out to see if they will get anything out of every opportunity since we are all trying to survive, and now the principle of working hard is gradually changing and now is working smart, and finally, the best we can do is to avoid offers like that, its always a scam and people keep fallen victim since everyone is desperate to get rich, educational status does no guarantee you escaping scam.

But I told my friend to run alway from them, that those guys are scammers and they don't have any knowledge about BTC investment. Did I give him a good advice ?

Yeah, you did a very good job, man. You even saved his life from scammers. Just imagine someone getting scammed 500K. The way the country is now, the person will definitely feel bad if care is not even taken. He will fall sick. And you are right by telling him those guys did not have any knowledge about bitcoin investment, because someone who has the basic knowledge of how bitcoin investment works won't go and meet someone and tell them that there is bitcoin investment and the amount is 500K.It looks funny, but we know that we can do with even the smallest amount of money we have. I don't know where they see that one of 500K

What advice can you give to such person.

There is nothing more to say because you are close to him and have informed him what has to be done, so it is now up to him to decide what to do. However, in my opinion, it will be a good thing because others are approaching him to inform him of a bitcoin investment. It would be great if you could offer him some pointers on how bitcoin investment works and the risks associated so that if he really wants to invest, he can do so without relying on another person or providing his assets to someone else to manage. Because if the market crashes, the individual who collects the money will be held responsible.

That is how it is. Unemployment is the cause of all these Ponzi scheme victims. Look at the one I received just from scammers this evening.

Hi dear, we are looking for workers. You can work from home and earn 50,000 Naira per day.
now if I am not well inform from this forum, I would have also been a victim. The only solution to this social vices is employment and not even empowerment. I see youth empowerment as a deception to the youths in the country. Government has provided a lot youth empowerment in every year yet the poverty rate is growing higher that means, there is something wrong. So we have to stop youth empowerment to youth employment. Government is only spend money in the areas that they can embezzle money and youth empowerment is one of the place embezzlement takes place.

Now I no the meaning of O.P, and I still learn many abbreviations in that Link bro. Sometimes is good to humble yourself to ask questions concerning something you don't so that when you grow old you will have something meaningful to tell your children.
Lolz. It's a pleasure mate, because as senior members of this forum, it is our duty to help beginners like you, and I'm happy you did actually learn something new today.

Me, I see this things why people still dey fall because there is no job in the country. Since there is no job, the jobless is trying all means to work, and earn money so they normally fall for those traps. Those who have job and be contented with their jobs never fall for it. And if anyone has job and still fall for it then he or she is greedy to the core.
Yes, that's the exact truth behind all these Ponzi scheme participation in the country, because as long as the employment rate still remains low, people will continue falling victim to this kind of scam, because just of recently a friend of mine just chatted me up telling me that if I'm interested in making money online, he will like to introduce me to a platform that is currently paying, of which after we chatted further I got to realize it's another new Ponzi scheme in town that promise to pay a certain percentage each day, of which I told him to trade with caution as those people are likely crash very soon.

But you can see the chat and name of new Ponzi that you should stay away from or trade with caution below here...

It's good you asked this question simply because you were finding it difficult to comprehend what O.P actually meant, so in regards to this, O.P simply means "Original Poster", which also refers to the person who create a thread or topic of discussion, because if you vividly look by the right hand side of your forum name you will see the O.P sign written with your name simply because you are the one that created this thread, but if you check on other thread you didn't create, you will notice it will not appear by the side of your name.

I like to treat everyone as a friend 🔹
OP you saved your friend from such a scam really commendable of you. But I think that if a person made such a promise, we would definitely look at him as a scammer. If a person invests #100,000 in the first week it is never possible to make a profit of #200,000 in the second week. It is not possible to get 100% profit in such a short period of time and if any person makes such a promise then he will surely scam you. There is no way to get such quick profit in a very short period of time so investing requires good knowledge. There are many people who are victims of such scams so they need to gain full knowledge about it otherwise they will lose a huge amount of money in future. OP this is a really good thing you have done for your friend, maybe your friend will take your advice and point in some good direction now.

Anybody falling for this scam right is either a novice, greedy person or just doing out of curiosity because who knows it might have been set to work for a handful of the intinial participants. Well, you advice to your friend was spot on.

I got this last week ending, is it not foolish for anyone to believe in this kind of fake salary? Definitely it is obvious that scammers sent me the message and they are only wasting their time.

Aside ignorant, people are also very greedy and they are easily deceived by what they supposed to know that are not real but fake.
Assume you click that link they send to you at the moment, you will begin to see some strange things in your phone that will make you to lose your money and many things in your phone. I don't think it is only ignorant or greedy people that fall victims for all those scammers, because there are some scammers that will call you and the moment you pick their call you must do what they want you to do bro, may God never allow us to fall victims for such people in our environment.

I called the guy the paddy man congratulate me very well dey tell me say I dey amongst the people wey their headquarters approve to fly go work with them for abroad there. I come begin reason the guy man how the arrangements go be. The man say e no go cost me much say make I just begin prepare myself to travel. Naim I come ask am for appointment letter him mouth begin shake him say appointment letter and the message which one dey me very important as e be say I don call am confirm say Dem don employ me. Na laugh I begin laugh for phone.

Fast forward to the stage of him telling me to bring money for passport and other documents naim I tell am  say I no get shishi say na the last cash wey dey my phone I dey use call am like this say if him no mind make him send me money so I go recharge
call person wey go  borrow me money so that I go send to am to facilitate the process the paddy man drop then call block my line.

Na so I take discharge am o. Those guys Dem think say Dem smart. If you no shine eye for them, they would have their ways of doings which Dem fit undo you.

Na good thing wey you do by warning your neighbour not to invest. That's is why e dey good to dey ask questions especially if you no no something to get help or assistance. Imagine if your neighbour no ask you naso dem for don scam him/her. Later, if de person come hear about bitcoin, im go dey mistaken bitcoin to be scam but not realizing dat na scammers use de name scam am. On a more serious note, most times why people dey fall for scams na because of greed, de moment dem hear of any juicy business investment or offer dem no go use their brain reason, dem go just jump into it like that after com dey cry.

At times I keep on asking why em be sae our people d forget so easily of how money doubler investment don deal with people with their unrealistic promises since the time of MMM till now. I believe sae so many Nigerians don get experiences with this type of investment packages, and those wey never get, don hear stories about how this money doubler operates(them go promise people much return, in a short time them go disappear).

Em d pain me sae many people still d blind and delusional to this extent of believing sae an investment company go double their money within a short time if they invest hugely. Like sae those investment company d print money.

Anyway sha, you did well for saving your friend from the hands of these money doubler investment wey wan use bitcoin as a benchmark to scam your friend.

It is funny and laughable how people still fall for these scams and pyramid schemes in this modern-day developed world if not for the greed that pushes and makes them feel they would get rich quickly forgetting that scammers have them in mind to get hold of as a result of their greed.
As a result of their ignorance without proper research, they also fall victim. How on earth would someone tell me to invest such amount of money and get x10 of it in return within a short period men you gat me reasonably for once o. No be this current Naija person go just dey like that money they fly enter account like that o.
Human being dem get plenty type just because say u no fit fall no mean say other people dem wey get big long throat no go enta all this scammers dem trap. Human greed is what really brings lot of rich and already made people down, greed can make or blind your correct sense of reasoning till you have been successfully dupe. Many people actually fall because they think they have nothing to loose until the scammers eventually toil with their greedy nature and before you know they eventually fall victim.
