That is correct, but make sure that your coins are in cold storage and safe from hackers.

i am invest my bitcoin on lending in poloniex and for me its work propely although there is small amount bitcoin i can get, but so far i still enjoy for lending my bitcoin to traders. the other invest is i am buying bitcoin and hold it until i can see the good price that i can sell so i can get profit for selling bitcoin.

I will always prefer to invest them on trading sites and may be in future I will try to invest in casino sites but still I am not aware about it so I am preferring to stay away from and will only invest if I have completed faith in it.
Same here, if i would get to know everything about those casino investments then i would also do some investments with them if i could know the system how they works and how you can get profits from it or on what percentage.

I do not understand why one type cryptocurrency translate into another form? I just buy and earn Bitcoin and do not spend it
Aside from just holding, which in itself can be considered as investment already, I don't do other things with my bitcoins. I just patiently wait for the right moment to sell or continue to just hold for long term.
of course hold bitcoin will be included in the investment because when you have a fiat money and buy bitcoin, you can make a profit even if you're just holding your bitcoin wallet, with a note that you sell your bitcoin at a high priceHolding is better option in compare to investing as investing holds a great risk of loosing money in long run but with holding you can sell them anytime when you see higher price of bitcoin.
It also depends on them, if they need the funds can be said to immediately indeed holding the best possible way, because we can withdraw the money whenever we want and it may not have an advantage for us. because the holding gains is dependent on the rate of sales in progress

I think investment in gambling site have more advantages, and we need less knowledge for that. For example ICO is something you need to check really good, to see background of the developers, to see is someone trying to make good coin or just some scam, and we all know here how many coins are just one big scam without any real value.
For investing in casino you just need money and to chose casino you think will make profit in next period of time, I'm a gambler sometimes I lose sometimes win, as investors in gambling sites, you will play against me, you will have more chances to make money like that, then with ICO.

There is nothing hard in that, just keep an eye on the sections of ICOs in the exchange you trade altcoins and when you see an ICO started just invest your amount in it by buying a share of that ICO coin, and when the ICO finishes sell your coins, sometimes the price of that coin rises while sometimes it drops the price.

You can avoid scams by checking more details about the project and inquire about the team members. Almost all the projects that keeps their team member as anonymous or without revealing their identity are scams or just shit coins. That's what I have learnt from my experience. Invest in a good projects such as DECENT, Singular DTV, Iconomi, etc. They have good team. and sometime things can go wrong even if there is a good team, that's the risk you can avoid. So

I agree with your statement as well, there are legitimate altcoins but due to the fact that majority of altcoins are just here for the dump and pump game, people are thinking that they will be scam if they use altcoins.
