So I am planning on putting 500 euros on Eth and Btc each(€1000 in total) to hold for long term. Is it a bad time to invest in those crypto-currencies?
I can't advise on ETH but BTC just hit an all time high recently. Do you really want to buy at the top?
If you want a short term return don't invest.
If you want to hold on to your investment for 1-5 years then yes invest. A few hundred bucks swinging up or down won't affect you long term.
Just be sure to buy your BTC and then set up a paper wallet and I advise to keep this wallet and private key locked in a safe in 2 separate locations.
