Because it is not worth investing for, it's a meme coin what would you expect on that project in the future? just to make it fun for everyone? people invest on something because they see its potential and projects with potential will attract investors and users which in the future will increase demand and thus increase the price.

Investing to meme coin won't do anything to you, you can buy it just for short term and should not be considered as long term investment.

Meme coins are mostly scam projects that's why some people hated meme coins but majority of investors this days don't care if they lose their money or not they still went ahead and invest on meme coins and so far many lives were changed, it's good that this turned out positively so it's a good thing that we have new meme coins in 2020/2021 but now the hype is almost over I would never dare invest in any meme coins at this present time

People invest for the long-term in something that has fundamentals and as a result has potential, but meme coins are completely useless so they are supported only by hype and nobody knows if there will be a new wave of hype or meme coins will be completely abandoned in the future. If they don't develop new use cases, they are unlikely to survive long.

Because there are memecoin that are 90% are made to scam people. Yes these memecoin are profitable when get hyped. But not all of them are like shiba, kishu, and many dog coin out there. Some uses the project to get some funding and do a terrible scam. It's indeed one of the crypto market side that I am definitely not gonna tolerate. Avoid memecoin and starting investing with the legit and literal one.

Because they think that meme coins can give them fast money by buying and selling the meme coins, but they do not think that meme coins can give them profit but only temporarily because meme coins are one of the trends in the crypto world. Because the hype is done. Most people today have seen the market drop and they're no longer seeing the apple of the eye on this moment because the main reason why the alts drop including the meme coins is due to bitcoin's drop.
Eventually, many have learned about the market's volatility and how it goes when the market starts to act like it's totally dropping. I have not invested in meme coins even on its prime hype days but good for those who made a lot of profit on it.

Well, people still do invest in meme coins, but as it used to be in the on set, the hype is slowly going down though alot of meme coins are still being launched everyday, people are becoming more conscious in other not to fall victim to scam or invest in a meme coin project that will die even before they are able to see $1 usd in profit.
And another reason why its seems most people stopped investing in meme coins is because the father and mother of meme coins, in the place of dogecoin and Shiba inu, this both have been on decline for more than a month now, so people are skeptical about meme coins currently.

It's probably because of the possible rug pull that developers can do once they have enough investors involved. Dogecoin might have been successful at making a joke coin and letting it last long but that doesn't mean every memecoin will have the same future as it did. As an investor, I'd rather put all my money in Dogecoin rather than shift with something new that is hyped by mostly early buyers that needs to sell their token because they are at loss if done now.
Another reason is something to back it up. What can they offer in case something go sideways? None. It just relies on the hype.
